this game is insanely good, they just need to patch the performance issues and graphical issues and it will be golden and set in stone.
I just wish they fix the hitboxes
And add an endgame too.
And maybe tone down the running a bit too.
Edit: Still love it, just running after monsters gets old when it happens too much, even in MH.
@@erimxul5439 I feel like the tracking with the radars is a bit annoying, there should be a circle around the monsters general location and the radars should pinpoint it instead
@@Plusimurfriend there is a endgame
I just discovered the spring and box combos giving 2 stacks earlier and it's completely changed the staff for me. Absolutely loving it.
One tip for the spear attack after the spring is you can hold it into the kemono if you land close enough and it will leap away instead of back into it. Super useful for controlling your position and it will still hit on the start of the swing
I discovered IT with celestial threat wich ist better vor me since it is more rangeand also gives you two stacks
For those that don't know the glider/celestial anchor attacks have you spin down with the staff and then morph into a shuriken throw that gives 2 levels and can change direction in 360⁰. I prefer the anchor and torch for faster mobility and an almost instant heal from vaporizer
good thing about that is, that you can throw the shuriken after and go into the 1hit spear attack for another 2 levels. so you need only 1 combo to get to your 4 bar big sword.
Issue with going anchor + torch is you miss out of either box, spring or stake, which you need for trap, harpoon, pounder, and wall, all useful constructs of stopping the kemono for a moment to get your 3 hit combo in.
That's fine just make sure to spawn them fresh everytime or your wasting your slight of hand fury perk.
The maul with the triangle grapple is most OP weapon combo for regular 9999 every hit, while shield wall defense for non dodgable attacks
Which way on the tree do I go?
i love the trickle effect and customizaton of this game. Saw someone who discovered this days ago and then a big mh youtuber do it yesterday now here and all did it in different paths and builds but still very strong outcomes i love it
For general note to people who want to play more with the combos, if you do a slide into normal attack, you get 2-3 very quick morph attacks after one hit with each weapon (dual blade slide->shuriken, spear, staff) which makes it a bit easier to get the bar up. So a little bit of stowing your weapon and doing this is a nice hit and run style to get the bar filled up safely
Small tips if you don't want to use the karakuri spam method: Dual blade power combo nets 3 very fast mutation levels (you can mutate immediately after the mutation hit 3 times in a row); you can get to dual blades by either morphing from sheathe, doing a slide attack (which is automatically dual blades), or morphing from staff (which the dual blades mutation combo ends in). So you basically slide-attack->mutate combo, mutate once after, dual-blade combo, and repeat. (or dodge away to reposition for another slide attack combo). Not mentioned, but torch also gets a bonus mention for being a mid range combo with generous aoe and hitbox: use this to help clear the field of small kemono.
You can also get a full bar with one maxed out anchor :)
yeah this is how I was planning the build good to know the man with the biggest sword is in the same line
Him losing his shit at 09:25 was hilarious
Thank you! It's like your watching me play, it's my play style and you just helped me make it better. ALSO RAAGE LITTLE MONSTERS. So many charges lost
I been playing the 10 hour trial and I enjoy the game but is so much things to do and this is my first time trying this type of game very overwhelming when it goes on sale I’ll buy it
God seeing this I really would have loved to be able to play this game. The staff caught my eye as soon as i saw it. Seeing this build makes my resolve even higher than whenever i can play this game the staff would be my main weapon.
10/10 would recommend using the celestial thread instead of the spring. When you upgrade the thread you can use it to jump 4+ times, (including immediately after you get hit) and EVERY jump can translate into 2 mutation bars. I've stacked up 8 mutation off one thread summon before, it's nuts.
What do you mean use celestial thread instead of the spring? Celestial thread is just the substance you use to make springs, boxes and all other karakuri.
@@babayaga4320 I think they meant celestial anchor, not thread.
@@babayaga4320 Celestial Thread is a basic karakuri, the last one you unlock.
On the other hand, you can't reuse anchor after spending all the jumps, you can still reuse the springs you left about as many times as you want. Also springs costs 3 times less thread, so the benefit there isn't quite as great.
@@chrisford6529 it's celestial anchor, but i keep calling it thread aswell 😅, made a few comments in other vídeos calling it that aswell... But yeah, i think i use celestial thread with all weapons specially with bow 😂
I understand your pain bro when those little Kemonos attack you whenever you try to do your max dmg outputs and they don't even flinch when the giant Kemono lands a hit on them 😤
The small creatures are the bane of my existence lol you're all set up annnndddddd nope that small little hit stops everything.
It makes me angry that the big kemono doesn't kill them or the little ones don't run MH has spoiled us with that
Small kemono made me find out that you can be put to sleep in the wake-up animation.
Torch combo has generous aoe and hitbox, use it to clear small kemono while building up meter.
I wanted to make a part breaker staff so I added the 2 destruction arts then the 2 mountain felling blades, so satisfying to see a part break off on each of the 3 hits 😂
9:30 absolute mood...
I always kill every small kemono in the arena before starting or I even just kill the small kemono while having to dodge the big kemonos attacks
9:24 bullfango moment
You can say that again
“Did you know there was a damage cap?”
Well that settles it. Josh is a world breaker.
You've earned a sub from me. Thank you for this build!
Awesome tips!! Going to implement this strat and work towards this build!! New to game and just unlocked staff and its definitely my favorite weapon!!
Always referring back to this video, thank you !
I really love the combinations and the fact that all content creators basically arrive at the same Karakuri Staff regardless of their playstyle. I personally prefer status, I find them fund and I use tonfas and shuriken more so it fits but it is hard to say no to unga bunga massive sword
Just done the path... What a goddamn grind that was... But so worth it!!
Nice build. I personally went with kemono path for armor mainly for the stat the allows you to stay at 1hp on a killing blow. And I also maxed out mountain felling blade or whatever for all the dps
Can't wait for a claw blade build keep up the great build videos
Later this week!
@@RageGamingVideos Nice, looking forward to it! ❤️
@@RageGamingVideos as a claw main with 100+ hours now, i cant wait to see just how royally i screwed up my claw pathing!
@@andybanan1992 imo claw blade is amazing at breaking parts. One of the best end weapons is the enderplume one that has the 30% aerial bust. Allows you to get slots for damage. Imo monster build with desperate will be best build type. Desperate 15%, one stroke fury 17%, then maybe destruction art 15% if you dont have any talismans. Id say if your talismans can get you to 15% then youll be fine with the weapons inherent 30% on aerial attacks which is majority of all the clawblade. But that or find two other perks for damage like tigers den for an extra constant 5% damage. And then the clawblade master 15% (as there are two different clawbade master perks).
@@sooperfy yea thats the one im using, with vengance and claw master. and using the emberplume set, mostly focusing on part breaking skills aor raw damage skills
Where’d you find the kaleidoscope talisman at, I can’t seem to find it anywhere
For reals I get good luck here n there with the talisman drops
I LOVE IT!!!! And I have something to grind for! Thank you!
interesting thing i’ve noticed with the cannon at least: the box attack does more dmg based on how many boxes you have down (and with the cannon, heat gauge) so, 1, 2, or 3. not sure if it’s like this for other weapons, but maybe check it out? oh and a barricade just counts as 3 boxes. it’s just based off of box height. with the bow for instance, 3 boxes gives you more charge levels (not as useful since you can just use the glider to insta max charge). so i’d assume it plays some role in the other weapons’ dmg too…
but yeah, tldr: Josh, try the box attack with 3 boxes and see if you get more dmg.
It is like this for all weapons. But honestly not that worth it for staff because it's all about the juggernaut blade, unless you want to do 3 boxes aerial juggernaut. More time spent building up that meter is a waste.
Though I do note there is a current glitch that lets you do aerial juggernaut blades without spending meter, but that's a glitch so not really recommended because of that.
Thx bro, I do the same build with hand canon and shred Garuda in 10 minutes 😂❤
nice build video, i might use it
gonna need a Nodachi build next
I could swear Mountain Felling Giant Blade only applies its bonus to the fully stacked blade combo, not the 4 stack versions. Doesn't that kind of go against the ethos of the build?
you probably dont play any more, and i dont main karakuri staff, but when i was looking at the weapon tree a few days ago im pretty sure i saw 2 separate buffs for the giant blade and when i read their descriptions they seemed to imply that they only applied to the full charge and half charge versions respectively
Unless am wrong but the path you have taken doesn’t end with the same skills you have at the end weapon
Love the staff. Still a lot i don’t know about using apparently after seeing this lol
Love your videos bro
Sliding and atacking makes the 3 fastes mutation level attacks, it is faster that using any Karakuri, you are welcome.
I'll add this combo is essentially the dual blades mutation combo and that mutating once after the combo puts you back into dual blades, which lets you do the 3 mutation combo again: faster than sheathing and sliding again to redo this combo.
@@sinteleon no one said anything about sheathing man, it is the best opener, that is why I said faster than any Karakuri!
Brooo my staff does 3k on last tap and it isn't even a good one yet! This is op!
Giant Felling Blade Perk + Celestial Anchor karakuri combo will get nerfed 100%
Let me explain why~
Step 1: Set Celestial Anchor
Step 2: Dash Jump towards the kemono (I usually do a 2nd jump before attacking, as the 1st dash jump has too much momentum/speed that you'll usually overshoot unless they are directly in front of your flight path)
Step 3: Aerial attack to a transform attack combo
Step 4: Gain 2 stacks
Step 5: Repeat Steps 2 to 4 until max gauge
Step 6: Juggernaut Blade
TL;DR combo using PS4 controller
L1+(Celestial Anchor)
R1+☓+☓(to slow down velocity for better control)
□+R2
R1+☓+☓
Repeat until max gauge
R2+△
Repeat
This is the fastest and most consistent way to get max gauges. It doesn't even matter if you miss, you can easily get to back to max in a few seconds.
Plus, since the moveset that goes with Celestial anchor is the vertical spin attack into the mutated ranged throw attack, missing is almost impossible, thus guaranteeing a gauge increase.
Have fun becoming Levi from AoT, but has Berserk's Guts' "The Dragon Slayer" (His big ass sword" as a secondary weapon.)
P.S. What makes celestial anchor OP is its ability to animation cancel.
You can cancel the shuriken toss (you don't have to wait for the full animation. If the 1st damaging frame hits, then you get the gauge increase.)
You can also cancel the recovery animation after ANY form of Jugg blade: The wide sweep one, the vertical slash one, and the full 3-hit combo. Yep, you don't have to wait 200 years for their recovery animation to finish.
Thanks my guy
holy fuck WHAT IS THAT BUILD PATH MY GUY
Nice edit! Damn does anyone know his editor?
Celestial anchor is insane for this i suggest using that instead of springs and to have more control try to jump a second time before attacking the first leap takes you way too far but the second is more control
So I just finished this build myself, and make no mistake, it hits like an absolute truck. However, keep in mind this bonkers 9999 damage is being dealt to a training dummy with no defense or armor. By the time you have built this, you will be in the master ranks, fighting kemono that are not pushovers. Expect more realistic juggernaught finishers to punch our closer to 3k, not the 9999 being showcased here.
the best part of this video starts at 9:20
On the spring attack how do you get the second part of the attack to go towards the enemy? The staff always attacks backwards for me missing half the time. I’ve tried aiming with the analogue sticks but it doesn’t see to affect it.
The 2nd attack where you slam the staff is actually inverted. If you are moving forward, you will swing it from the front to the back, vice-versa
Wow. somebody made this exact same video hours ago...
And it is not even the more efficient way, when you try to use Karakuri on Volatile like that they will just move and that is it... you have to slide and attack, that puts you into an attack phase with 3 consecutive orange flashes
@@AVFromgaming so use that running slide attack instead of karakuri
@@gitex I did, already finished the game and I am on Volatiles, I know what I am talking about 🤣
@@AVFromgaming it was a question... what else is whack is that meter running dry too quick
@@gitex oh sorry usually questions have the following: "?" At the end, try it out buddy
Seeing this Vid... just puts a big Smile on me cause i love the Karakuri Staff... but it's bloody finicky with the whole Need to land Mutation Hit thing which can be difficult (for me at least) but i feel this Vid will help me get better and hopefully Main the staff... Cause well...... JUGGERNAUT BLADE GOES F#$%ING BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!~
good vid BTW lol x3
Stam is insanely required on bow, imo. I wouldn't say it's useless. Dig the build though it slaps
How do you get the extra skills on the armour?
Where'd you get the kaleidoscope talisman from?
This game earned 2 nutty koo koo bananas damage
Patiently waiting for nodachi build
Why is my skill description different from the video? Same skill same language, but mine is not as direct or clear…example full body attack…
Where do you get the kaleidoscope talisman?
Problem with "sharped icetusk frostlimb" a material needed for this weapon. How the fuck do i get this. Some websites say "destroy frozen trees on his head"? There are no trees and hitting his head does nothing but break horns. Tried hitting his back right behind the head, nothing dropped either. Hit him even further back and all you get is his back spikes...
I legit can´t make any of his weapons because of this :(
I don't believe it's a part break item It's just a really rare random drop I had to hunt him like six times to get two
Does mountain felling Giant blade trigger on the spring sword attack for 4 charges?
Not on 4 charges, but you can get max charge first and then start using the spring sword attack: the spring sword attack only uses 4 bars instead of emptying the entire gauge.
made this build, and yes it does great damage but its a pain against the birbs such as pearl beak and such
Just harpoon them when they fly and u get free giant blade
When’s the bow build??!!! I do decent but I feel like I’m missing out on a lot
I was thinking the other day, you said you didn't like the samurai dlc so you didn't wear it.. But i was wondering is it because you didn't wear it or you didn't receive access to it?
The main reason i beat Amaterasu was spamming spring and torch to build up gauge haha
My cannon build does 26k damage do the bear with the laser beam. Downside being i have to sit still for it so setup is important.
This game is insanely good but im having trouble finding the crystals to upgrade weapons, unlike the beast parts, it doesnt popup anymore in the store
is the bug known with mouse and keyboard that you can't use a juggernaut for the box jump? with controller it works however
Ahhh so this is the video my buddy kept talking about lol. I did my own thing and he went hard on this build. My 2nd hit with the giant sword does nearly 5.7k and my first hit does more than your 2nd hit. My buddy changed his staff build once he seen me taking out kemono in 1 full rotation. Also your way of building up the meter is not very effective as the kemono’s will tend to destroy those little boxes repeatedly. I suggest using an anchor then placing 1 karakuri crate on top of it to keep it from breaking but you’ll need to tether yourself to it before placing a crate. Lunge at your target then use either light or heavy attack then get ready for R2 to activate your combo that will give you 2 bars. It’s a far faster method and you can build your full meter far before the target gets free of your first chains trap. My friend and I take turns with traps, I drop the first and soon as it’s about to run out he drops the next. We can skull a volatile in less than a minute and have even successfully terminated them in under a minute. I solo them and it takes me roughly 4-5 minutes to kill the weaker one’s because they’ll eventually get away.
I really hope they fix the pc version... trying out this combo move and I can't seem to do the air morph into the big blade from the spring...
Amazing! Maybe a bow build too?🥰
Bow is next actually!
@@RageGamingVideos subbing cause I need that bow build
the small kemono comment had me fucking dying. Them fucking owls be fucking me up
couldn't you drastically decreese the needed threads if you use the base dodge karakuri thingy (forgot the name/ the one which lets you jump an insane disante 5 times) or is the combo there not as good as with the spring or does the heal not work?. i also know that that thing doesn't mix that well with other karakuri but it seems far more convenient
The biggest issue with celestial anchor is that it messes up with sliding, of which slide combo is one of the fastest ways of building mutation.
Wait. Mountain Felling Blade description says it buffs fully charged juggernaut blade. So using the 4-bar spring hit wouldn't utilize it unless you're only using it at the max right?
Yes. So just get max charge first, use 4 bars on the attack, refill, repeat.
It boosts any juggernaut blade fired off of a full bar as far as I can tell but it doesn't necessarily have to use the entire bar to get the boost so you build up to eight fire off of four then build back up to eight
I have a similar staff build but kemono path. Mine does a little more damage but im always struggling for thread and probably can't take as much damage due to desperation. I might give this build a go, I like the human path armors better anyways.
if struggling for thread, I recommend the slide/dual blade combo for building meter instead. Technically faster, though shorter range.
Didn't I watch this on another channel a few hours ago?
Yo why is the Celestial Anchor seems glitchy? I dont have the upgrades yet so I should only be getting 2 jumps, but there are some hunts in multiplayer that will have almost unlimited jumps like 8-10 or something. I know the upgrades will only give you 4 total jumps so i doubt that its from the other players in the session.
There's two different type of jumps form anchor. trigger button jump propels you massively forward and counts towards uses (and also grants the special combo that gives 2 mutation meter instead of 1). Regular jump appears to not use counter at all, and only breaks when sufficient distance is gained.
Would it be possible to create an immortal build in this game? And if not like iceborne or rise - something like mhw back at the very start?
Honestly, the closest would be karakuri remedy builds; it's possible to get over 30+ points in that skill, thereby healing you massively for each attack. But seriously though, even when fully defensed up hits still takes off reasonable chunks, and some attacks are deliberately designed to kill players trying to tank them (particular note: one lategame monster has a multiprojectile attack with NO knockback, meaning if you just stand there, you take the complete volley).
Oh my god, Josh finally being able replicate Frost craft Great sword.
haha yeah i wish the small kemono would flee out of the area unless it makes sence to stay like the little mise staying when your fighting the big mise. but them staying when your fighting a wolf thats broblebly predetory to them aswell doesnot make much sence
i love my maul build i hit for 2-4k depending and its just a simple 3 hit bonk takes like 3 seconds to pull it off same problem with the staff though can get hit out of it easy and i have to commit to the last strike hard but at least i dont lose any Gauge lol
how do you juggernaut from the spring on pc?
Plug in a controller unfortunately. At the moment it's bugged with K/M
the torch also give you two bars
struggling a bit consistently landing JBs while I'm moving through story. It's nice that I'll have an endgame build to work toward but for now it's rough.
I knew you'd be playing this 😂
not sure how to make this work I've tried multiple times to use the giant sword with he spring but it never goes off it just keep doing the normal ninja star spin
If you're playing on keyboard and mouse it's currently bugged apparently you'll need to switch to a controller to make it work
Where do you get the Broken Scepter emblem ?
There's a video that has all locations of them. Channel name is gaming with abyss
I watched it, and I didn't find that one there
Awesome! Just unlocked the staff and I want to get good with it. Already started making the element ones too. Hopefully I become beast with it.
Well as Mouse/Keyboard Player, even after todays patch, staff still isn´t an option, with M/K you can´t use the Juggernaut blade from boxes/Springs, cause it´s bugged...
You sure its bugged? Or maybe your keyboard cant press more than 3 buttons or something like that. U might be holding too many buttons in the same time and its just not reading what u press anymore
@@Zamoxino It is bugged, alot of Player have voiced it already, it´s not just me and it´s annoying, cause it´s pretty much the best way to play the weapon -.-
@@jjfeeder969 ahh i see it now in game. yeee that sucks ;/
@@Zamoxino They surely will fix it at somepoint
ah no wonder i couldn't do it
Yeah I hate playing Katana and my heavy combo being interrupted by small kemono
I feel pain as a claw blade main stuck in high rank cuz I suck :"v
If you're focusing on 4-bar, though. Doesn't that make Mountain-Felling useless since you're not aiming for 8-bar Juggernaut?? I feel you can do better in that respect.
I just got my staff it is so delicious. But then so is the cannon and the claws... How do you choose? Oh 9999 that's a strong point...
Personally I think I'm gonna use a claw blade mostly as a part break sniper, a staff as the Unga, Bunga big number hitter, and the bow as my ranged option (alternating haya volley and the glider attack to detonate and land ready to volley again is nuts)
Anyone using this weapon and watching this. PLEASE READ.
Best way to get your mutation level up to its highest is not the method above. Yes, its good. But not the best. Even without the glitch. Using your anchor/thread is the best method. With the glitch, you can stack a box on top and endlessly use it until its destroyed or you go out of range. Reason this is the best is because you can rb and a out of combat for one. Two, you can Y/triangle attack while midair after one jump and then RT/R2 to throw the large shuriken which has incredible range. You can either land the Y attack (higher you are more attacks you will do or higher you are when you press Y, situational as more attacks into a monster can lead to getting hit. Or you can land away from the monster pressing Y and still get the prompt to throw the shuriken and im tellin you the range is amazing and youll get two or two and a half quick charges. Another reason its the best besides range is how fast you can do it over and over. No stamina cost. No thread besides traps or the achor and box which is 4 total thread. Soon as you throw the shuriken and land it you press rb+a and get out and then pick a spot to land or hit the monster to do it again. Repeat and within seconds youll have full charge gauge for fill combo jug blade. I hit a scourge tail earlier today before he even roared with my kemono build. Hit him for 700 on first hit, 2300 on second, and 8800 on the third.
I will say its preferance human versus kemono path. Kemono will def net you more damage overall. I use kem for most my weps. But this one I decided to make both to have as i know of a certain way to also get all the mats for weapons which helps with armor for most part. But what you get from human path mainly is celestial breath x2 which essentially gets you 2 thread every 5-10 seconds. As you can imagine. Being able to get 4 back while you are building is great incase the kem destroys the anchor and box. Then you have nothing for traps if you already preemptively put one down after the anchor. By the time you star the fight and trap monster and get a charge and potentially a combo. Youll have 4 thread back. You can also get verve to about 16%. 10 from wep, and about 6 from armor total coming from two pieces of armor. That makes up for some of the desperation but what you lose with desperation you get back with QoL (quality of life). Thread back for easily getting charge gauge up for jblade. Some remedy for healing. Another reason anchor is great is bc you can jblade attack out of midair if you dont have enough for a trap or see a window if its a agile jumpy kemono. My friend usually runs traps and does great to trap them. I normally do as well but sometimes will run box, glider, torch and anchor for celestial shield and healing vape for deep volatiles. Especially with bow where you can sit on a perch for all the fights except tombtail fight in the graveyard area lol. Anyways. You also get things like water that cures ailments. you can potentially do a interesting damage build with one of the skills. Leaves hunter poisoned but boosts attack for awhile when drinking healing water. Well theres another skill called nostrum water. This cures the hunter of ailmeents or an ailment removing the poison. Theoretically (will test tomorrow) youre drinking to get health back after a hit and getting a 10% bonus to attack minus the poison bc of nostrum water. Lets be honest in a tough fight, youre more than likely drinking some water lol. This wont help much on easy farm monster hunts but anything in chapter 4+ and even ch 3 can hurt , especially if youre build toward attack on kem path. Youll be drinking alot to keep verve up.
Best basic karakuri for k staff verve builds would be box, torch, anchor and stake. Reason being is bc you can use healing vaporizer if youre not running the poison water attack boost build. That will heal you a large chunk , cure an ailment and also act like healing mist and heal you overtime if you get hit again. Almost heals me full and i dont have many health boosts anymore after going full desp kem path mainly. I think human path is best for this wep overall bc of the qol it brings and if the trick above works with the nullficafion of poison to get the attack boost when drinking water. Thet will help make up for the two desperation perks on armor and gloves
How do you beat the huge bird boss in the village I've died enough that it feels like im just going to delete the game
Are u struggling still?
Nope kinda over it now
Why not choose desperation 15% instead of karakuri coordination fury
Karakuri staff is quite overpowered compared to other weapons. They probably need to nerf it to balance.
It's balanced by needing the longest animation time to actually pull off said massive damage.
Who you get the talisman broken scepter?????
Check out the channel Gaming with abyss he shows where to get all of them n with time stamps. Super glad he made a vid
Excited for your bow build 👀
Very soon!
I just unlocked the staff but I don’t want to have to dismantle my maul :/
Especially because my character goes broke every time I dismantle and re-assemble my weapon
I want to farm gold & materials so I can have separate weapons but at the same time I’m trying to complete the story it’s such a conundrum
Yea the grind is real for one weapon I can imagine trying to max them all out 😂😂
check your inventory: at the top the list there should be a BUNCH of coin looking items that you get from each monster. these are ALL sellables. take them to the shop and sell them off and watch yourself go from broke to full of cash. you get these from nearly every (if not just every) hunt so don’t forget about them.

Question. Why do you not go further right at the end and get Desperation 15% ? nvm human part. also you speak of being at 100% health but aren't for a good 1min+ lul
You gotta show your hunt end times lol
....why is your damage SO much lower on the hunt with the Deathstalker than versus training?
The dummy has no defensive values as far as I can tell
were is the broken scepter talisman?

The fps patch is there guys
I mean the training dummy takes like 5x more damage than actual kemono end game...it will be quite awhiile before anyone has to worry about doing 9999 damage in actual relevant content.
