This is one of those songs that even if you're a child you would appreciate it because the music is just so beautiful. If this was released in 1978, I was maybe 5-6 years old when I first heard this. I loved it then, I still love it now that I'm in my 50's.

Ah yes, Billy Joel the man with a plan. He had a plan to conquer the world with his music and he did just that. To me this is his best song of all time. Although "The Sttanger" could be put in there as a tie. They are both great songs.

This song was one of my facvorites until today. I heard it when I was about 14 on a Russian broadcast of the Bridge program that Billy Joel did. At the time in Vietnam there wasn't much international music on national television, so I got to see this program just because we had an antena extended 20ft in the air to catch a very weak signal from the Russian Embassy. That static and blurry image but was the first colored thing that we saw on television. And this song amongst others like Uptown Girl, Piano Man, etc. were frequently re-broadcasted. Not until later that I was able to find a cassette tape of Billy Joel with the song on it. It was a memory lived along with my childhood and teenager. Thank you the legendary Billy Joel for the legacy you have been giving us. Now my wish is be able to see you performing live for once, and I don't know if that wish would ever come true.

Good gosh! What a heart-wrenching performance,...wow. Mr. Billy Joel is so gifted, with his heart in the right place, aroaa. Angel man now for quite awhile now, happily Married and what a great success story.
I have so much great to say about Billy Joel and his miraculous quest & ultimate 100% total victory in Music always, regardless of all always (aroaa), something that cannot ever be taken away from him, man. Something he gave so much for, writing the truth, "the Gospel truth", and something that lifted the roofs off of every Church to the highest degree there is, rocking my peoples & the entire Universe into Heaven.
Maybe somehow Billy Joel's music & words are a way for us all to find the doorway, and way into Heaven, in our training aroaa.
Billy Joel's music is out here working for such a good cause & for good EUD reason(s) only aroaa, Cheering peoples up, and his music goes to so many good things too, besides his personal enrichment as a Musician & Composer, etc., and for Universal good health, fun, & Music Therapy aroaa, such as helping me personally train up, and warm up, and Rehearse for CAPACITIES, numerous times & aroaa.
Billy's music & poetry reach out right to us, and help us all find something very important, man. Enrichment from & through music for one thing, true words to "priceless" music from his gosh dang good heart, good gosh almighty is it good. It makes us all feel good to hear the truth to Billy's genius tunes.
So my advice in closing, "buy every one of his albums at the local music store aroaa", lol. "One" of his priceless works is worth it's weight in gold, for a million, trillion KINGS & all their horses & Counsel, Class.Trust me, find at least one of his tunes & sing along, and play along. All peoples can, aroaa.
