中学生のころ、英語の時間に先生がこの曲を流してくれました。ビリーの曲で初めて聴いた曲。英語で意味が分からなくても何故か涙が出そうだった。
歌詞の和訳を知りたくて調べても、当時、幼い私には今ひとつ分からなかった。
成長するにつれ、歌詞の意味が分かるようになり、何度も聴くたびに、救われるようになりました。辛い時には癒され、同時に涙が出ました。

東京のライブで初めて聴いた時は感無量でした。

Unfortunately this song rings so true for me. I'm 62 and on looking back over my life, Honesty was a rare thing. Billy Joel has the most beautiful voice and greatest songwriter too. He truly is a musical genius 🥰💯❤
