1 ) There was no “ LEFT TURN “ like moment here unlike the Battle of Gaugamela and King Porus fought till the end even you mention in this channel that the retreating men went back to the elephants ( KEYPOINT TO BE NOTED )
2 ) All historians agree that the horses where Scared of the Elephants due to the Fact that the “ WAR ELEPHANTS “ way of Killing by throwing horses and men to death and Alexander horse died and even he was injured .
3 ) All agree that the elephants were killed finally by Men with Long Spears in the end and the Arrows Caused them to Trample them and no one mentions them being Set on fire or something Dramatic to Spook them .
LET ME TELL YOU WHY THIS MAKES NO SENSE !
1 ) A “War elephant “ does not need the handler commands to fight in close combat ! The handler job is the Control the elephant and the Elephant will make decision on its own to handle close encounters and charges ! If the Army had killed all the handlers the King would have only Lost the Organisational Capacity of the Elephant line which would have made them Pursue threats beyond range or strategy of the King leaving room for them to be Taken down Easily or the King not able to use them as part of a strategy but nothing like that has happened here , if it would have happened they would have mentioned like the “ LEFT TURN “ in the battle of Gaugamela .
2 ) Horses that know Greek Drama theory - The Horse were Scared of the Elephants now how did he inspire them back ? I dont think horses understand Greek Drama ! that is the Reason they all say in unison the infantry killing the elephants . The Cavalry was not effective to allow them a close shot at the elephants and Alexander was completely outwitted here since the horses would not corporate and had a tough time in handling them and offering them a close shot at the elephants ( not to mention the Terrain which suited the charging elephants Much more than horses ) Which Brings us to the Final Reasoning why Alexander Troops have to get down and fight on their feet now they have to Cross indian cavalry in speed and archers hiding in bushes hitting you as well ! they wont be there playing with their thumbs !
3 ) Finally the Men with Long spears theory. really ?? you think Men with Phalanx can Actually Kill “ War Elephants “ ! These are War elephants and wont be spooked that easily with injuries or Drum noises unless Set on Fire or Chili Powder thrown in their eyes ! They would be Trained to identify Friend from Foe and would be Training side by side with the army and they have a very High IQ ! Just imagine a bunch of guys outnumbering a elephant herd in Kruger park with Phalanx and killing them or Making them Panic causing them to kill their own baby elephants because of some arrows or attacking them from both sides ! First A single elephant charge will Crush 100 guys in a horrible way “ which they mention “ would Make anyone run and break line ! Also elephants are not Chariots they can change direction and duck a Phalanx attack and you cant outrun and Match a elephant in speed with a long spear !
4 ) Finally Alexander being much younger in Age would have been Let off by the Much Older King according to Tradition and of course Teach him some humility ! which explains his change of character in his deathbed ! There is no way King Porus would have bent his knee to a King much younger than him . He would Rather kill himself than bend his knee to a younger king in his own Country !
I m telling this based on “ Facts “ you have given ! Let me leave it at that ! Just think about the Kruger Park scene of a herd of elephants vs 100 Mike Tyson’s with Long spears for a second !

simple logic is if Alexander won the battle, India was wealthy nation. Either entire troops or part of troops would have stayed back in India to enjoy the luxary or atlest would have established trade or collect tax from porus. how could a emperor travelled so hard, won the battle but simply abandoned it. Remember on the way back Alexander died. so possibly he got hurt in the battle and abandoned his idea of further invading till reaching ocean.
Possible alternate theory could be that Alex like Ashoka the great had a change of mind and left for peace and eventually fell sick due to bad weather and died. I have heard about great warriors stopping or leaving from captured enemy places just because it does not feel right or other deeper moralities.

Actually historical records match very well with Greek influence in india, best is the influence on Mauryan architecture, the pillars u see from that period are a blend of Greek-Achamenid architecture belonging to Macedonian and Persian design. Even better, there are accounts from Greek side like Herodotus and Megasthanes had connection with Chandragupta Maurya. Trade was flourishing as u can find the term "Yavanapriya" referred to black pepper by ancient Indians, this term translates to "Beloved of the Greeks" because black pepper was the most traded entity with Greeks. Towards a pure, vibrant and dynamic Vedic society:
1.Let's throw away the western culture, language, ideas, knowledge etc., (Remember, Christianity is the basis for western culture and civilization) and everything that was brought in by the Missionaries. Let us follow our own Vedic culture and practice the principles and rituals taught in our scriptures. Following western culture, and their way of life will pollute/distort the positive vibes and the pure energy field created by our mantras , rituals etc., making our religious practices ineffective. Moreover, it will predispose us to accepting Christian values and encourage conversion. (Conversion is very high in westernised nations like China, South Korea, Taiwan etc., but nil in countries like North Korea, Laos, Cambodia etc. Even in India, our culture and religion are strong and vibrant in states like UP, MP, Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha, where the western influence is minimal.) Even the anti-conversion laws and the hard work by our deshbakth Organizations won't be able to prevent this worrying trend.
2. Make use of our own ancient wisdom, to make our nation great. Let us stop and reverse westernization and follow the Vedic life style. Our ancient wisdom is far superior to western knowledge and science. It has answers for all the problems plaguing the human race and has the power to make us strong, powerful and prosperous.
3.By harnessing the amazing powers of yantras, tantras, mantras, poojas, yagnas, tapas, sacrifice, rituals, yoga, astrology, vasthu, sathru samhar(for safety and security) and other ancient technologies, our ancestors were able to achieve unimaginable results and attain greater heights. Let's make use of these god-given technologies and follow the letter and spirit of our sacred knowledge to make our nation great.
4. All the other scriptures were written by humans, but our Vedas, puranas and the other sacred literature were received as vibration, from the gods,through the tapas of our rishis.That is why the eternal,
unchanging principles contained therein are known as Sanadhan Dharma. Christians boast of the bible as the basis for the constitution and jurisprudence of the developed and many other nations. They credit it for their prosperity and all round development. Islamic nations like Pakistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan etc. have their constitution based on the Quran and even our neighbouring Srilanka has its constitution based upon buddist principles. We should strive to transform India into a Vedic society by following these timeless principles and basing our constitution and jurisprudence on it.
5. To maintain purity and high levels of cosmic energy, follow our scriptures and avoid traveling overseas. Because the alien Vibes will pollute our energy field and drain away the cosmic energy accumulated through the poojas and rituals. (For this very reason, our saints like the sankaracharyas never travel abroad.) Avoid physical contact with foreigners as far as possible.
6.We should diligently observe the rituals, poojas, yagnas etc. and follow the socio-economic order mentioned in the scriptures, to make India a shining example for others.
7. 'Vedam' means 'Knowledge for enlightenment, needed for attaining Moksha'.The Christians openly distribute their vedham and even the Muslims do the same. We should make our vedhas and religious literature freely available to the population, so that they could know the right path and receive the knowledge to attain Moksha. This will also put an end to conversions.
8. Let us make the glorious history of our religion known to the modern youth, so that they will be proud of their heritage.
9. Our ancestors named people and places, based upon the time tested Vedic principles, to create positive/beneficial vibes and energy fields. But now a days, we don't give importance to this matter. Even the name of the religion has been changed by the white Christians, without consulting the religious authorities. The time has come to give a fresh look into this matter.
10. Our nation can prosper, only if the Brahmins are looked after well. Special efforts should be made by the governments, to ensure the Brahmins enjoy a respectable standard of living in the society. Brahmin advisors should be appointed in all Government, semi- government and other organisations/departments.
11. Let us make it a people's movement, under the leadership of the Deshbakths and saints, to get this message
across to all our country men.
