Air planes rotate .The process of accelerating from hover to forward flight has a different name that is specific to helicopters. It is actually called a 'transition'.
True, the only people offended are the woke crowd. I remember few years ago there was a survey of Native Americans and 97% were ok with Washington Redskins but woke mafia still got its way ...
I saw some doing laps above the Atlanta Motor Speedway in pre race festivities when the new track was first opened. I believe it was Jeff Gordons first race and Richard Petty’s last race. It was an awesome display.
Every movie director and producer whatever needs to watch this. Id imagine the Apache is one of the fastest to spin up. Movies be starting helicopters fast as lawn mowers.
Now if there's one thing you can be sure of, it's that nothing is more powerful than a young boy's wish. Except an Apache helicopter. An Apache helicopter has machine guns AND missiles. It is an unbelievably impressive complement of weaponry, an absolute death machine.
While In transit to visit my son in Fayetteville we witnessed 30 plus Apaches taking off for an exercise from Ft.Bragg. Love the smell of napalm in the morning!
(Just wanna save time for some people - 2:48 is when they take-off). Great video. Everytime I see an Apache it looks like an angry freaking giant wasp ready to sting you, terrifying af.
the left apache was the AH-64 D Longbow! prior to the D model, the apache was always accompanied by an OH-58, the 58 would pop over the tree line to assess targets and relay to the info to the 64. When the Longbow D model came out the 58 was no longer needed. The Apache's can fire hellfires from over 5 miles away from the target!
@@expfighter5112 Both the left and right Apache's were Delta Model Longbows. The AN/APG-78 Fire Control Radar (FCR) is not the defining characteristic of a Delta Model. In fact we frequently fly without the FCR installed to reduce weight, reduce drag, and improve performance in flight
Love the AH-64's, they are cool until they sneak up on you taking a dump in the middle of the desert and train their hellfires on you! true story, Col Richard Cody was SOOO funny(sarcasm) when he did that to me Jan 18, 1991 :)
@@GTRNights fair enough. you know i refer actully to these new generation that always keep their hands full with their phone and wanna record everything instead of enjoying the moment
At the time, the National Guard was sponsoring a race car, so they hall all sort of military equipment out for the fans to talk to and meet with some soldiers. For the demo, they landed them inside Kansas Speedway and parked them overnight, then took off as seen before the race started.
Yes.. yes of course that's exactly what happened. These guys who are smart and skilled enough to fly an Apache OBVIOUSLY think a nascar field was their base. Totally.
the flight training was already slated for the pilots only thing that changed was the destination and the opportunity to possibly inspire someone in the audience to become a pilot
I had a close encounter with an AH-64 during training in Texas. All I have to say is, thank God that thing is on our side...!!
🇺🇸
love the distinct sound at 1:20 when the power levers are pushed up and 2:47 when they start pulling pitch. an awesome machine
The way they rotate in perfect tandem really shows the level of our pilots.🇺🇸
Shows the level of electronics and computer control
@@jeremiahdavis360 not a computer doing that

Show offs! Lol. Attack!!
I just know Apaches would be proud of their name being used for these awesome machines..no disrespect at all

World War II
Apache ,Kiowa ,Blackhawk who remembers the Iroquois (Huey).
At last, they are honored
lol…we stole their land, way of life, and identity……YA, I bet they are proud as fuck we named our helicopters after them!😂😂😂😂
God bless and thank you for your service.
Tell lizard lick to sit down...LMAO 😂🤣🤣
Witch one stand up lmao😮
I still remember our Apache assets call signs from Iraq. "Vampire". Why? Because they were always looking for blood.
And mainly hunt at night.

Army aviation baby! Flying high above the best!
It's really cool to see them flying I was escorted by 2 when I was Medevac from Iraq to Kuwait
God bless u
Hope you're well Billy
Thanks you captured it perfect
Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas. The National Guard always put on a great show when they Sponsored Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s race car.
The AH-64 is A big heavy machine that normally doesn't pick-up straight off the ground. Great flying on the crew's part.
Lol what??

It never gets old when a whole stadium turns sasquatch: Whoooeeehhowwww 😂 only in the USA
For what do the pilots wait?
Amazing and deadly machines.
One hell of a site!
i remember seeing the c17 crash at a showoff like this. hahahaha
I want one of these where to buy, Amazon?

A friend of mine once told me that helicopters don't fly . They just beat the ground into submission .
The dude has a lizer lick towing shirt on i love that show and the military
I was there in the front row! Man these things are cool
That is 2 Apaches lifting off. Backhawk looks like a large tadpole sitting there. The Apache sitting on the left side has a Mast Mounted Sight on it.

Where was the Blackhawk you speak of?
That is the AN/APG-78 Fire Control Radar (FCR), not a Mast Mounted Sight (MMS). The OH-58D had the MMS above its rotor system

Designed in the 1970's but look like they're from the year 2100 . The original mean machine.

Go Army !
MERICA!!
What ? no gun runs 😄

great honor and salute to americans helicopters militarys services
You think he's jealous his buddy has Longbow and he doesn't?
They're both Longbows. You don't have to be the one with the FCR for it to be a Longbow. In a flight of 4, only 1 will have it.
Did these copter pilots somehow land in the wrong place , thinking a NASCAR field was their home base??
