    Oh if I could go back in time. I was probably about 6 years old when I saw Dickey play this in his living room. I was too young to know that I was in the presence of a legend and wish I could go back and do it all over again knowing what I do now.

      Wow. I was the same age when I saw the video for Seven Turns on TV. I didn't know he was a legend either. Dad loves ABB, grandpa did and now I do.

    this is literally one of the greatest concerts ive ever seen. in every video, dickey is playing with more passion and beauty than he ever has in his life, and warren aint half bad either. this is a legendary band at the peak of their form, even if they are missing their incredible founding member.

      Oh hell yeah. They were in their prime without a doubt. I love this live version and also when they go Into Blue Sky. Warren rips that damn slide solo

    I saw them in April 2000. Dickey was definitely drinking, but still sounded fine to me. I was drinking too!! He was gone not long after that. I always heard he was fired for drinking, but how could any of them throw stones?!?!

    Duane was already dead when Dickey wrote Ramblin' Man. Barry Oakley did play on the original Ramblin' Man recording before he died, though. Brothers and Sisters - a great album. This band had the deepest bench. Buy it!

    Duane was amazing..........but since his untimely death, Dickey carried on his shoulders and made what the Allman Brothers are today. Warren and Derrick are both great guitarists, but they aint no Dickey!!!

    I don't think it will ever happen again,but it would be nice to Dickey Betts play with the ABB one day again.Dickey publicly said he was fired,but Greg insists even to this day that he quit the band.

  • @Lachausis
    @Lachausis 12 років тому

    There is a faster version, which is the best. The faster the rhythm of this song, the better it sounds.

    This not only saved them but along with Jessica made the rest of band a lot of money, including some members who will remain nameless who could barely get on stage at the time...and others who played drums.
    I wouldn't walk across the street to see the current version of Gregg Allman's tribute band.
    I don't care if Dickey Betts couldn't even pick a guitar anymore, he is still the man.
