Thank you for this! A garden concert is lovely, even if COVID is the inspiration. I once saw an old movie of Bartok collecting folk songs in people's front yards with his big gramophone horn and hand-cranked recording machine. The singer(s) stood close to the horn and sang loudly, but the birds nearly succeeded in drowning them out! Probably the birds welcomed the challenge and contributed mightily. I hope ornithologists have access to Bartok's old recordings.
