LpsDianna Aj I ramble on and write a lot about a little really until the space is full 😊 I write about the process and what I did, and struggles along the way, what worked well, what didn’t, how would I improve, things like that ⭐️
This is mind blowing. I’m currently doing a level graphics and I’m really struggling with getting ideas and exploring my brief of movie posters. Do you have any tips for page layout and how to properly communicate your thoughts for maximum marks? Thanks!
I'm not enjoying GCSE art as much as I though I would, I want to go into a career in animation. I though I HAD to take A level art next year and I was panicking because I knew I wouldn't be able to handle nor enjoy it. Realism is not my thing at all, I draw in cartoonism and have always enjoyed doing so, and seeing your sketchbook has really helped me realise that graphics suits me to a tee! Thank you for sharing!! :D
I'm just like you, not saying I absolutely HATE realism but, I'm more into stylized digital work and prefer doing limited traditional art and coursework. I'm in Y9 rn and thinking of not continuing it and then take graphics for A level so that I can qualify for uni. Is that it? Any advice? 🥲
@@Purplanne I may be a little late but I believe you have to either take photography or art at GCSE to be able to do graphics. From what I hear, photography is much easier. I can't tell you what you should or shouldn't take, but I would like to "warn" you in a way - please PLEASE do a lot of research into the subjects you plan to take before you take them. I'd hate for someone to end up in the same position I was in. Art is very hard to get a 6 and above in, and it takes a lot of work outside of school which is something I could never bring myself to do.
@@priismo So, I tried both photography and art in y9. I've already chose my subjects for y10 too... I actually had very little experience to decide and it was really hard for me tbh... I chose both photography and art along with RE for y10. I wouldn't have chosen art but I really wanted to drop out of food tech and I had to choose at least 3 subjects AND I also started feeling like I'm loving it in art! I also have one of my close frnds with me and I'll also have my current teacher who is absolutely lovely! I'm still not sure when I think of the work I have to do for it but, I rlly love art and the fact that my frnd is with me kind of encourages me and doesn't make me feel stressed abt my choices. Thank you so much for your help it's really nice of you
My coursework is due in for graphic design A Level in about 2 weeks. and I feel like you’ve done so much more than I have hahaaa, I’m starting to worry if I’ve done enough!
Its really interesting to see how others do Graphics A Level, my sketchbook is all 100% digital - anything physical we do has to be photographed/scanned and uploaded in
Sorry haha idk if you'll answer since this was made literally four years ago 😭😭 but ive got a few questions since im gonna be choosing my gcses : which gcse did you prefer, art or graphics gcse? In graphics gcse, did you draw more in paper or on computers? Do you recommend taking both art and graphics gcse? And which gcse was easier?
I have a question, I’m a gcse student going into graphic design in college I’m September but I can’t draw that well but was hoping to computerised art and photography. Is there any units where you have to draw? Thanks x
The Blue Wolf a lot of people in my graphics class did more photography and photoshop based projects so being able to draw really isn’t a necessity in the course, there are tiny bits of drawing, but unless you do a more illustrative project you should be fine 🥰
Hey Art With Em i just wanna ask (sorry I’m such a late watcher lmao) which a level did you do along fine art and graphics? Im thinking about doing graphics for a level
Hi, i'm about to start doinf graphic design an was wo dering where you got your sketchbooks from? They look like the sort of sketchbooks i'm looking for. Thanks :) xx
Hi im also doing a children's book whereas not good in hand drawings, for example om your anthropormophism animal drawings u did in watercolor would i be allowed to do those digitally instead since im more confident in that. Im more better at digital art then hand drawings what would u say. Please reply, thank you
i'm doing a project on 'narratives' for my next project and it can be anything from childrens books to action movies... i dont even knw what i want to do or where to start ahha
Do you have any advice? I know this video is from a while ago, but I am entering A-Level Grapho=ic Design soon and I am unsure of what to do for my entry requirements. Any ideas?
Hi I just wanted to ask how did u do one fine art and one graphics portfolio as i also I want to submit 2 portfolios but my teacher said it isn't allowed. Your portfolio is stunning btw
TW: This comment unintentionally turned into a minature vent. In year 11 right now and trying to choose what A-level subjects so I can apply for college. I'm currently doing Art GCSE and am on track for a 9 but I find the course quite unforfilling and stressful at times due to the amount of work they expect in such a short period of time. I'm thinking of possibly taking Graphics A-level as an alternative to Art A-level because my inspiration to be an artist originally stemmed from illustrated graphic novels and animation. Having trouble deciding what to do because my teachers (sort of) pressure me to take Art A-level due to my skillset, but I don't think it's for me? If anyone's in a similar situation between 2 subjects or has any opinions, it'd be nice to hear. Thanks for reading :-)
it will likely feel more fulfilling for you to do graphic design, since it’s more focused than just a general art course. i can’t say much about the workload since all sixth forms are different but i think you’ll feel less stressed doing something more focused on what inspired you to want to do art. graphic design is generally interesting, i just have a really awful teacher who doesn’t know what she’s doing so it can often get rid of the fun. but hopefully you don’t end up with a teacher like that. just do whatever you think will be more fulfilling and fun. don’t let any teachers or anyone else influence the subjects you choose because you’ll be the one doing them for 2 years and using them to progress to university
You did an absolutely amazing job. You deserved a 100* for sure ! Very inspirational
Thank you so much 😊
this is insane I literally can’t wait to do this in collage even tho I’m also completely terrified! LOVE YOUR ART THO ABSOLUTELY INSANE!!!!
