Jeff, this was a particuarly rewarding episode. I like the more leisurely, conversational nature of it. It seemed very organic and more relaxed; less of a slave to the clock or format. Very accessible, interesting and knowledgeable guest . Many thanks.
The Walker Evans image Campany chose was from a poster of a show at the Hopkins Center at Dartmough College in 1972. My first one man show of over 85 photographs was at the Hopkins Center in 1974. The exhibitions were curated by Matt Wysocki.
Joel Peter Witken is a photographer that comes to mind for a photographer that make preparatory drawings for his photography. He has a brother who is a painter. I’m thinking that traditional way of working would come naturally to him.
Wonderful discussion! Thank you
Hi Sandy, glad you liked it
I could listen to DC talk about photography for hours and hours.
Same here.
One of your longer sessions, but well worth the time to watch and listen! I learn something new every time.
We figured it was worth the extra time
fabulous images and very personal reviews about why David chose them..............a pleasure to watch and listen to, thank you both
Thank you so much

Thanks. I'm going to be less focussed on the clock going forward.
Thank you David and Jeff for this brilliant and very inspiring discussion.
Always a pleasure, Mr Crowley
Campany always strikes me as unique as an academic; well-informed and intellectual but grounded in common sense.
All true. As well as being kind and generous
A great one, thank you gentlemen.
Our pleasure!
WOW! I just recently finished Campany's text on Victor Burgin's Photopath, such a special guest to have on the show.
Yes. We felt honored to have him with us.

Thank you. I didn't know that
