Big Sandy ISD called us off for Thurs and Fri. As a former OTR Trucker and now a schoolbus driver iM happy to stay home by the fire with my dogs. Be safe everyone!
Big Sandy! What's happening with Big Sandy? I haven't heard much about y'all since the state championship back in 74ish. Celina just recently took their 9th title since then. We've grown from a population of 1400 back then to over 40k now.
Hello David. I now live in the Tyler area. Thank you for the weather report. I can do without the ice and snow but it is winter and the weather in Tx is so unpredictable. Stay safe and warm.🤗
David Thank you for keeping us informed. I've been watching closely for Thursday. Needless to say I called in an canceled my appointment for tomorrow, cause I'm not going to be out driving in this, if I don't have to !
@bcase5328 that's not how wind chill works. If the temperature is 33 degrees or higher, nothing can freeze regardless of the windchill. Windchill is just a "feels like". It's like if you turn on the ceiling fan in your room, it feels colder, but it doesn't make the actual temperature of the room colder.
Brother, I have no idea how much time and energy getting all this info and putting everything together takes from you, but thank you! Keep on doing what you’re doing my man! Def got my subscription.
With weather analysis this clear and detailed, there's no reason for anyone to watch those old-fashioned 5 minute teevee weather casts, and certainly not any commercial-laden Weather Channel coverage that spends time talking about the east coast or Florida.
Of course Tyler is going to be in the thick of it ... oh well, will cozy up w my little mini Weiner dog and hope the power stays on. Stay safe everyone.
@@lindasheldon6940 I'm SE of you a bit. I take pics of future radars to send my mom. We're always a thin grey area that depends on what forecast model they use, or how ìt shifts later. The Concho Valley is a rural region in West Texas that includes parts of 11 counties, including Coke, Concho, Irion, Menard, Reagan, Runnels, Schleicher, Sterling, Tom Green, Crockett, and Glasscock. This includes San Angelo which is where the majority of the population is for this region. I have to look up the different regions of Texas as he says them. 😅
When I was younger, writing my full name in the snow (in cursive) with pee'r was NO prob. Now it will have a bunch of starts & stops with many periods not intended.
You are sooo good!! Keep viewers updated and informed. Thanks for all you, your team do. All stay warm, keep off roads unless emergency. Do not worth aggravation. Had to go out earlier to take care of something…colder and very damp. Rain, ice coming. Some will get snow…heavy in nw, ne , central Texas. Keep safe.
thank you david! hopefully since im not in actual fort worth and in a smaller town outside of it it means some good things for accumalations! especially since im near what seems will be near the line between freezing rain and snow
Wow, the weather is so interesting lately. Thank you for great weather update and so accurate and I can see the weather where my parents live here in Texas which looks like they’re getting snow. They don’t have a weather channel. Thank you so much.
Great video Sir! Awesome forecasting, I watch every video you post. Just north west of San Antonio currently, ill roll to work at 20mph in morning should be no ice don't think we will hit 32F all schools closed tomorrow so no traffic. Thanks for all you and your team do.
McLennan County, Waco-McGregor here, I'm hoping for snow here. I grew up in west TX Monahans. It's so interesting listening to your weather know how Thanks for the indepth forecasting forecast
Baldy, we Okies don't appear to have a wx channel like this one. So I'm asking humbly if you could throw in a mention if there's something important we need to know. Please?
Yeah it’s like Oklahoma is a black hole for weather. I can see Oklahoma is expecting some snow and maybe ice also. But no mention of Oklahoma in any of the weather channels I’m seeing. What gives. I live in Muskogee and I know we are expecting snow but I have no further information because no one mentions Oklahoma.
Love your UA-cam. That said, volume fluctuates sometimes on several videos. Cannot turn volume on my phone higher, sometimes miss information. Thank you.
Keep in mind a 1000 foot increase in elevation means 3.5 degrees cooler. Some hill country near and especially above 1500 feet will have a bit of snow/sleet. Austin is around 500 feet elevation for reference
I'm in Center Point Texas in the Hill County and I already have 31°. Guess I'll be on foot feeding animals😮 in the morning. Thanks David for the update.
Because the ground is colder for an extended period of time. I stay in denver and we have snow in the 40s sometimes. It'll be in the 50s and 60s and the snow is still on the ground for days. In texas it's been hot. It was like 80 a few days ago. The ground is too warm for it to stick. If it stays this cold for awhile and then snows again it'll have a much greater chance of sticking
So I live in Arlington but work in Waxahachie. My boss says that we should come into work that the roads aren't going to be bad. My biggest fear is yeah in the morning it might be okay but I may end up getting stuck out there

Even at above freezing, some overpasses will be wind chilled to freezing, so be careful.

Nothing can freeze until the air temp is freezing. Bridges are just the FIRST to freeze since they’re exposed to air from above and below.
