Id love you to try this concept again, but maybe go for looks as well, like the best affordable custom loop that doesn't have a reservoir just sitting on the bottom of the case slightly tilted lol.
@@TechLens hey any way you could make a video showing how to assemble it step by step, how to check for leaks properly, and importantly how to drain the loop, because im considering getting this for my phoenix gtx 1660 OC which reaches 83c Degrees which is fine but i dont find it comfortable at all, ive never done a water loop before and i dont like the idea of putting water/coolant in my pc unless i have someone experienced guide me properly and 100% certain it wont damage anything
Even if it’s a potentially bad idea to put this on my main rig for the aforementioned reliability reasons, I’m quite tempted ngl, especially for AIO prices
great review. I'm still a bit torn about getting the Aura cool 240 or a gammaxx400 gte or try my luck with a cheapo water cooling loop. I also did research and found some affordable and quite respected brands in custom watercooling, (Bykski and Barrow).
Very interesting video, but I still don't get the idea behind watercooling - overclocking aside of course (AKA: it's heating up so fast that you need to pull the heat REALLY fast as well) - as the system is still basically air cooled ... So why not invest that money into a good cooler and a couple of noctuas? This is a real question, if anyone can chime in :) (being a geek, I fully understand the whole "fun project" thing tho)
I know it’s an old post, but the general idea of water cooling is better thermals with lower overall noise. Couple that with a lot of the newer GPUs and CPUs being able to make use of thermal headroom and overclock themselves accordingly so having better thermal performance means better bang for your buck on hardware.
even with a full copper loop with the copper radiator is it still recommended to not only change the fluid periodically but also use that cleaning fluid?
Yeston & Colorful isn't an Asia only Company they've been selling their GPUs in North America via Newegg for like 6 years now, actually decent products as well, they certainly put more effort into their Cooler and PCB design than some companies like Zotac. I have one of their 4080s in my brother's build, it's pretty nice, I like that they put some effort into making GPUs that aren't just black and red they even include a little Comic Book with some of their GPUs, but its a shame they have no way to control the LEDs on their GPUs, I'm sure they're only 1 color but it would be nice to shut it off when I wish too. But I would say if you wanted to get your hands on a Yeston GPU I would skip asking Banggood and just ask Yeston themselves, they have a UA-cam Channel as well as a Twitter and do try to keep an active media presence at least in North America. Soyo now that's an Asia only company, Iv'e seen a few brands on Alixpress that I have yet to see else where.
aded termal paste and removed stickers after testing ? or before atleast .. ordered same like kit . also ordered extra copper rad hope it turn out good
You should get atleast another 120mm radiator instead letting the warm fluid going into a reservoir 240mm rad > GPU > 120mm rad > cpu > then back to the 240mm
Hey - we would have to dig a little deeper into that for you. New hardware releases are also right around the corner 🤞 Feel free to join the TechLens Subscriber Discord: discord.gg/3VkmFCn Myself and a few great people there can help you out.
I have a rx 580 gpu and a micro atx case and it suffered from cooling with just three fans. Switching to liquid and using this it works like a dream. No more game freezes
I feel your thermal testing is flawed The cpu could be running hotter because it’s running faster because it’s using more power Please take a look at GamersNexus write up on CPU thermal testing
@@TechLens ahh Must have missed that. I’d still recommend taking a look because sometimes even locking clocks and voltage in bios can be misleading because software shittery You really need to use a current clamp and measure wattage directly

I made the same but for 72$ with dual radiator( one on back and dual section on top) and hard tubing - thanks ali for coupons! 😊
Make a video on it plz
Can you send me the link please.
Bro, your videos are getting so good.
Cheers to the next 3k subs
Thanks man! Little by little, I'm hoping to make better videos 😊

you definitely deserve more subs then you have from one small creator to another
if you add a single radiator on back connected after coming out from processor... everything would be really good...
Even if it’s a potentially bad idea to put this on my main rig for the aforementioned reliability reasons, I’m quite tempted ngl, especially for AIO prices
Sounds super bad but make sure there’s no leaks,
and after a while upgrade the reservoir and the pump if u don’t wanna spend money right away
Still loving the mirror finish on that bad boy 🤣
he’s not that pale...
@@Vincent_a02 Sheeeeesh did he really do that?
If you had dual rads the temp increase on the cpu would probably not happen. I’ve always gone by the minimum of 240mm radiator size per component.
Even if you do not, shopping around foir 1U/2U loop. More area more better.
Your channel is seriously underrated. Subscribed!
Please put heatsinks on the vrm
That’s amazing how your videos are so good, you need way more views, keep the good content !
Thanks bro i was really curious to see how well budget water cooling performed
Curious to know if the pump still works? Great video!
Subbed, thanks for this. Exactly the type of info and info on mixed metal cooling I was looking for.
the issue with this is that a leak is gonna be 2000-3000CAD depending on your PC
If its a full custom loop, why not run the tubing along back end, so its not so visible, or would there be pump issues?

It might make a diff if you get a 360 when buying a new rad.
@@jonelbulao5918 i would recomend going to WC only if your cpu is high TDP, something like 150 - 200, or just get a decent air cooling.
Put the springs on and the numbers will be accurate.. i have the same setup now with ryzen 3700X and a 1070 Ti. Idle at 42c stress at 68c

Why do I get the urge to do this to a dell optiplex lol

Good work, but next time might want to put the entry and exit tubes for the radiator at the bottom instead of the top 😂
Just wondering, what should you do about the no am4 cpu block support
Freezemod makes cpu block for Ryzen
The blocks look decent although the pump and radiator are bad
Copper and aluminum are a bad combination that can lead to corrosion. Make sure to use special fluid so they don’t corrode each other.
or buy a copper radiator like he said
Informative video 😀
I would do just a cpu loop for myself because that gpu block does not seem good enough

If i were to get another radiator with this would the temps drop for the gpu?
dont need to cool vram?
Can you do this with a I9 10850k will it get to hot?
Yo will this work for any gaming desktop like i5 13gen and RTX 4060? Or 4060 ti
I have seen a 360MM rad Hardline kit for less than 170 euro {price for 240 is around 140euro}.
Why not do a review of one of those kits?
Meanwhile in europe where that exact same kit costs .... 121 euros so almost 140 dollars
hey, nice video, how about 240mm for cpu and 240mm for gpu or even 360 mm each, that will be interesting 🤣🤣
keep it up💪💪💪
his pc
1% pc parts
99% rgb
Will it work with i5 14gen and 4060?
aded termal paste and removed stickers after testing ? or before atleast .. ordered same like kit . also ordered extra copper rad hope it turn out good
Nice pond
You should get atleast another 120mm radiator instead letting the warm fluid going into a reservoir
240mm rad > GPU > 120mm rad > cpu > then back to the 240mm
the loop route does not matter, jayztwocents made a video. As long as the water is in a closed loop the temp will be same no matter the order
Nice vid 👍🏻
Thank you!
Great video
How can i paint the liquid?
nice video man! I subbed but can u tell me how this is holding up? no probs?
What components should I use to build a 1250€ only gaming pc in the Icue 220T
Nice vid btw

can you use this watercooling for just the gpu?
hello i want to ask, can i use for 10700k using this pump and 360 radiator?
That inspire me alot, thanks
how does the cooling performance of a cheap kit like this compare to a more expensive or premium kit?
about 5-10c maximum difference
with the gpu waterblock like this the gpu will not suffer the VRM and memory chip overheating ? p.s sorry for my bad english
Today I received from banggood
Thanks for this suggetion ❤️
You can prob do under $50 if you use nylon 1/4 npt fittingd
great vid as always, keep it up 👍
Thank you 😊
VRM Cooling?
4th wall broken with that statement that this kit is not for your $3000 dollar computer. How did you know!

where did you get the gpu water block?
Sad that it doesn't support am4!
There are alot of custom water cooling sets like this selling on taobao(淘宝), it will cost you around 30 USD.
Cant see any full kits for that price....
Link?
People who say this is cool or awesome don't know shit about water cooling
100 dollars can buy you a 360 rad
