What's wild is when a man divorces an abusive woman and then family court requires the man to pay his abuser thousands of dollars for many years. The man is punished for leaving abuse. And then many in society support this arrangement by saying that the man should have known he was going to be abused and should never have married the person who became his abuser. Switch the roles, and then everything is different. A woman is not required to pay a man who abuses her and society does not support, encourage, and excuse abusive men.

Mine had to teach me some things that was disrespectful when speaking to him for example, even though I was speaking in a calm or normal tone to him, when I needed something done or wanted to suggest, I’d just TELL him instead of ASKING him. He communicated this to me gently and thoroughly. I understood immediately. So NO, women don’t always know. As the psychologist said, I’m paraphrasing, “Respect can look different between a man and woman”.
Now to address your response, there are definitely the women that KNOW she is. A woman can be very defiant and exhibit narcissistic behavior. So I agree on your example. I just had to address your response from the other end of the spectrum because in reality people period don’t know everything that may be disrespectful. P.S.: Since we're on the subject of psychology, most "bullies" suffer from narcissistic personality disorder and one of the symptoms of this disorder is the lack of self awareness and high levels of delusion. They are clueless.

While listening to most of what's being said in this blog, my comments and opinion would simply be this: for the most part, (especially within Black female/Black male relationships) regardless whether or not you as the male are providing for the living assets/comforts, she - 'EVE' doesn't initially and will never realize you as being the boss of the life situation(s). Unlike other bipedal females or other female mammals (Lioness, Tigress, Cheetah, Monkeys & etc...). In general, Eve's main concern applies only to her immediate needs. What's wild is when a man divorces an abusive woman and then family court requires the man to pay his abuser thousands of dollars for many years. The man is punished for leaving abuse. And then many in society support this arrangement by saying that the man should have known he was going to be abused and should never have married the person who became his abuser. Switch the roles, and then everything is different. A woman is not required to pay a man who abuses her and society does not support, encourage, and excuse abusive men.
When women experience bad relationships the men here will say they should have chose better. Perhaps the same applies to males. Sex does not determine who pays who. Who ever does not have the children pays child support and whom ever makes more money pays spousal support regardless of sex.
Feeling like someone is disrespecting you is subjective because what one person deem as disrespectful another might not, I've seen people get into fights for something they felt and be wrong as hell simply because of how they perceived things. If you perceive your boss is being disrespectful towards, you would probably eventually start disrespecting your boss as well, there are some people out there that response to perceived disrespect the exact same way regardless of who it is. Boyfriend or boss doesn't matter. Sometimes if a woman is being disrespectful towards her man, its because she perceives he has been disrespectful towards her. Obviously there are situations where the woman are deliberately being disrespectful to that particular one man but that's not always the case
End of the day, don’t bite the hand that feeds you. It ain’t about women disrespecting men it’s about THAT all while living under a man roof.

I think a huge issue is the friends that a woman keeps. I get the boss analogy but there’s a huge difference. A boss is not your family, a married woman isn’t going be sleeping with her boss, washing his clothes or having his babies. Also you can find another good boss but it’s not where as easy to find a good husband. That analogy sounds like conditional love.
Imagine, my ex-girlfriend who had no income and I was paying for everything. Would lie and be disrespectful for no damn reason. She is now with guys that make monthly, what I make in 6 hours.

She's from Atlanta and I knew that she went to Eddie Long's church and I said well if Eddie long was in this car would you drive like this and talk like this to him. She slowed down and got quiet.
