I've been watching all of your recent videos this morning and they have been the most well presented, informative and well-justified guides I've come across in BfA. Looking forward to seeing more of your content in the future, thanks!
Thanks for the video guide! Just as a heads up, when discussing single target talents around the 11 minute mark, the recommended T15 talent icon is force of nature, but the text says nature's balance.
Great video! I would add a title for talent setups you are talking about to increase clarity and thus quality of video. Also timestamps in the description would be nice addition, but still good job! Love from fellow Laser Chicken
Hi Tettles, love the content, switch from my 9 year feral to balance and was lost, your guides really feel amazing and I can feel they come from someone who love Balance druids. Quick question for you, is not using the full "Pandemic" dot window a dps loss? Meaning, if I refresh dots a second or two before they expire instead of as soon as they reach that 30%. Usually I prefer to refresh them later as I don't know if they will survive enough, but now I'm afraid I'm loosing dps. When you said "refresh you dots at 0 cost" you meant that it simply add its time left to the following dot correct? Thanks!
Obviously it would be tedious and the upkeep with all changes etc would be exhausting but any thoughts of making a guide/video to explain to people about optimal traits with the rotations. For instance IF you have X traits, the optimal rotation is Y, etc. Like if you have 3 moonfire traits, it's most likely optimal to spec twin moons even if it's only 1 target instead of stellar flare since our talents are weak in the regards that the differential is so minimal between each talent individually. I'm also hearing that sunfire spam is a thing again? But similarly I'm assuming it relies on having the traits to make sunfire be that strong that it's worth spamming as fillers. Most of these scenarios are in dungeons when mobs only live 10-30 seconds anyways so it's about getting the most damage during those windows as possible. But I was wondering if you planned on making a guide about the traits in the future once live hits and everything seems to be stable as far as numbers being set and changes seem less abundant
Very informative, thanks! Btw, the UI you have there looks great, especially the astral power bar and the dot/cooldown trackers. Do you have a video on it? I'd love to have something similar. :3
Lucas Kuster Ribeiro wago.io/r1S7DQYN7 its a weakaura from the Weakauras 2 addon. You should install it and look up a video on how to import weakauras. It’s really simple and super good.
Since you recently got gladiator, could you maybe make a video on moonkin pvp? I always loved playing balance, but felt as it was a little bit awkward in arenas.
I feel like I’m not in a position to make an informed enough video about arena if I’m being honest. Even though I’m 2700 I don’t understand a lot of PVP concepts super well.
Fair point! Just wanted something like what to do/what not to do like video, tips and tricks etc, but i understand that you want your videos to be as qualitative as possible and you probably also prefer long videos with a lot of details and information rather than short videos with one subject at a time.
Hey man, good video and thank the lord your mic is better. Quick question: for adds that have low hp and die quick, if they are alive only for under a certain amount seconds, is it worth to not dot with moonfire/sunfire? Sorry felt like I worded that poorly lmao
So sunfire it depends. If the mobs are stacked up, I’ll sunfire them almost regardless as it’s super efficient. If it’s a lot of low HP mobs and they won’t live at least half - 75% of the Moonfire, then I won’t bother casting it.
Well i cant decide between first lvling Warrior Druid or DH but this video might make me lean toward druid im just concerned they will be lackluster in pvp compared to Warrior and Dh i know feral is fine but i hear boomkin is weak in pvp i could be being mislead though
I do have one question about what haste percentage do you want to shoot for because even though we had the stat squish I still cast slower than a turtle mine is at 8 percent now but crit is around 17 percent I'm ready for heroic dungeons but I don't want to be terrible have you or anyone got any suggestions about what is a good haste range to be at?
Mack That honestly, it’s out of your control. As shitty as that sounds, titanforging and rng loot don’t really allow you to target an amount, and we don’t have a haste breakpoint. All it ends up meaning is sometimes you’ll be really low on haste.
@@razvantudor2639 you can still use it with empowerments, but the main point to the talent is that it gives you opportunity to be more mobile as well. If you know there is a point in the encounter at which you will need to move. You can use your instant cast LS while on the move. With the new eclipse passive you'll find yourself having empowerments much more often than legion so it's not a necessity to save the empowerments. Keep in mind the WoE talent makes the 3 lunar strikes give you more AP, which in the long run will give you the damage that you missed from not using the WoE as empowerments. TLDR if it's a patchwork style fight with minimal movement it is always better to use WoE with empowerments because it would technically be damage gain. But that scenario is usually not applicable to most encounters so just use the talent to get nice instant casts with great AP generation on cd as often as you can. (Edit) point being that using it on cd as often as possible is more efficient in the long run of a fight. For example, if you only use Woe 3 times a fight because you waited to use the stacks only with empowerments, you could have maybe used the cd 4 times if you had used the stacks on cool down which would be a net gain in the overall damage. Sorry I'm not as detailed with explaining things as Tettles is and he knows much more about the class than I do coming from the lower end of hardcore raiding.
Tettles I’ve sort of settled on a “hybrid” build. I have Warrior/Starlord/Stellar/Fury in my damage rows to give me some AOE and single target functionality.
Tettles one more question: I notice that a lot of gear focuses more on Mastery/Vers than haste. If an item is a IL upgrade, should you still equip if it reduces haste?
I found talents in BfA are pretty weak. IE if you're bad with stellar flare, taking soul of the forest is only a small DPS loss, potentially a gain. I don't think "Always be casting" can be overstated. This always seems to be the weakest part of most casters I've watched. For example, getting soul blight on argus and running out immediately, not continually casting and losing a lot of globals.
New moon does very little damage, however if you care it’s kinda close on single target. If you really care about class fantasy or whatever then it doesn’t matter. Take what you’d like.

Just got this game about two weeks ago and boosted a balanced druid a few days back. These videos have been very useful.
Thanks. This is by far the easiest explanation of the balance druid.
Loving your videos, great content!
Your mic quality has massively improved and the quality is getting better with each video :D
10/10 would watch again
Thanks Tettles.....part of the dreamgrove community on discord....
Helpful guide to a new player like me. Thanks a lot!
Beautiful, thanks! Having trouble with kitty a.t.m - wanna give Boomy a shot. Great starting point this is.
Thank you so much for the guide, really helpful! :D
Thanks for your balance guides Tettles

Good Idea, ill keep that in mind next time, additionally timestamps got added! I forgot
MVP Tettles!
You have Nature's Balance listed with the Trees icon and talking about trees in the patchwerk talents.
Ahhhh, i know. Im sorry. Messed it up and forgot to change the title on that one. It's supposed to be FON 100%.
Do you have a break down of optimal talents for each raid boss encounter? I notice people swap around from boss to boss.

Moonkin is good in 3's with the right comp and RBGs.

hello, say me plz, what addon do you use? astral power bar
It’s a weakaura from the weakauras 2 addon. Just google AP Pro Bar weakaura and import it off wago.io. Should be from Cyous
@@Tettles thx :)

hello mate! thanks for great video, could you please let me know the addon name at top of your hp, with tracking balance "things". cheers
Weakauras 2. It’s the AP pro bar and you can import it into WA’s wago.io/r1S7DQYN7
which addons and weakauras are you using?
wago.io/4y7qKOBVW
And Elvui is most of it
Just curious, why is New Moon so bad? Is it the loss of other casts vs the passive SS or the instant FoE?
Just does very little damage
Must scale poorly I guess.
Pleae share your weak Auras
also how should i use warrior of elune correctly ?
Just use it on cooldown. No reason to hold for empowerments or anything. Don’t let yourself cap AP by using it though
i was aiming to use it with empower guess that's not the best way then

The problem with Boomkin is you seemingly have to change talents 10 times in each dungeon/raid. And that’s just not possible.
You really aren’t required to. Balance doesn’t lose a lot of damage by playing the incorrect talents
Tettles I’ve sort of settled on a “hybrid” build. I have Warrior/Starlord/Stellar/Fury in my damage rows to give me some AOE and single target functionality.
Tettles also, definitely subbed.
Vason Maximotgus I’d 100% recommend Twin Moon over Stellar Flare. Other than that, it looks solid for a hybrid / general purpose build!
Tettles one more question: I notice that a lot of gear focuses more on Mastery/Vers than haste. If an item is a IL upgrade, should you still equip if it reduces haste?
