As soon as Pep realises he isnt speaking to a journalist and instead to a real person he becomes so down to earth.

He didn’t hesitate when he said Gundogan for best manager in the future and then couldn’t even think of anyone else. Must’ve seen something special in him.
Gundogan was doing his training in while at Man City, that’s why. I believe he was coaching the youth teams also
Even city players said that
His flexibility says it all. Think about the amount different roles he has played under pep. It requires good understanding of the game to be able to play in all of those roles.
There’s a reason he went to Barca.
Gunda is so underrated, he is a very intelligent player he was the brain of City
Great chatting to Pep, I hope you all enjoy the vid
Smithy 👍
Yep,pep the goat
You are really good at asking questions
Oooooosshhhhhhhh
Yeah He's THE GOAT 🐐 Untouchable
did you talk to him for 115 minutes?
To be honest I really think that Thomas Muller will be one of the next great German managers to come through the system
No horrible character too egocentric and arrogant.
I think that's mostly just banter. His playing style is far from egocentric, he just likes to joke around a lot@@MarcoBonechi
Yup he reads the game better than anyone
@@leehijam4026 he is all instinct, he is a lesser version of Filippo Inzaghi. They can't teach what they know because for them it's instinct. Muller won't do well as a coach.
Just because he has a special and unique role in his style of playing doesn’t make him gud potential coach

The next great manager rivalry we will see after Pep/Klopp will be Gundogan/Xabi Alonso
de zerbi/xabi
You'll gonna have to wait a few more years if not a decade for that to happen. Another rivalry will appear before that.
Nah, Xabi is already established manager meanwhile Gundo is still a player there will be huge gap in experience between them when Gundo ends up becoming a manager.
What a humble guy! THE GOAT
the best coaches ever, IMO are Rinus Michiels (the grandfather), Johan Cruyiff (the father) and Guardiola, the son, three generations that changed everything about football, on the field, but also how football is teached to kids, la massia, total football, the role of the Keeper, build up play that starts at the back, all that comes from Rinus Michiels and was perfected by his spiritual son and grand son
I think Müller could become a good manager.
Good selection 👍
Kimmich imo
James Milner would make a good coach
Fernandinho
Rodri aswell

What a great interview! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a better one with Guardiola. The caricature that he is not approachable is definitely not true. I really likes all the answers about Elton John, Noel Gallagher and the old school English managers.
Pep is awesome.
Literally.
I wish this was longer 😭 Otherwise, great to hear from the 🐐
Pep ..the greatest manager of all time 💙💙💙
I disagree. Pep is a brilliant tactician and one of the greatest ever, but he’s only managed big teams. That surely prevents him from achieving No.1 status
So Barça B is a big team?😂
@@AGE_97He only managed that team for a year. And I’m talking about teams at the top level of football. You can’t seriously tell me that one year of managing Barca B ticks off the box of ‘not managing a big team.’ I give Pep his credit, he is a brilliant manager, but I still stand by the point that he’s only managed big teams.
@erhhsdhh2099 it actually does
And after he left my boy conquered football.
Football is about winning buddy.
And Pep knows how to win.
Love him.
@@erhhsdhh2099 I don’t see how Pep not managing a smaller team, change the outcome of whether he’s the “greatest”, too prove your worth at big team right from the get go in terms of tactics, impact/influence, domination & accolades and deliver is a stamp itself. Why exactly does someone who revolutionise and consistently dominates need to prove something at a lower scale if he’s doing it a bigger scale for 10+ years else we can play advocate. All and all his path is from 100 - 100 and it stayed at that level for 16 years, can you say the same for more than 2/3 managers who can stay at that level….. I feel like the “prove it at a smaller team” is too much of a lazy argument should Messi/Ronaldo prove themselves at smaller teams
Just makes me love him more! what a lad!
Such a humble man
Love all these interviews by Smithy :)
Thanks for your nice words
Cryuff is his true inspiration . He said Ferguson to please the crowd .
Pep did not want Gundogan to be manager now, he do not want another Arteta 😂

@@oscarpye8151you can see it in him as a player and and leader and plus he is a way better player than Aterta ever was, knows pressure and has accomplished greater things
@@konthe678 Gerrard and Lampard were better players than Arteta also, remind me how their managerial careers are going? 😂 just cos a player was a great player doesn’t guarantee them success as a manager. Mourinho, Fergie, Wenger, Klopp - all were below average or average footballers but have gone on to be great managers. Don’t be naive in thinking that just because of the success they’ve had as a player, they’ll be a great manager.
It would be great to have something similar to boxings "the gloves are off" with 2 managers sitting across a table debating questions.
Pep saying he’d love a round of golf with Big Sam or Neil Warnock warms my heart.
Love the insight from Pep about Klopp. 2 truly legendary men willing to respect each other for what they are. We are so lucky to be around to witness this generation of football.

Pep is 🧠🔵greatest manager in football history💞
I want to see him take a team from nothing to everything. People forget Sir Alex took over a United team that finished 13th. I’m not sure Pep could do big things with a team that finished 13th.
He took champions to 3rd in his first season in England.

Pep is a great guy when he talks properly other than in interviews sounds like a robot, but I love pep.
Credit to the video editors for changing the background music when Pep is talking about other managers later on. Beautiful
sam allardyce to play golf with is so random shout by pep
Pep always says it that the most difficult trophy to win is the premier league
Sometimes a naturally talented player makes a poor manager because he cannot grasp that some guys just cannot do what he did. Conductor Arturo Toscanini was notorious for calling down slipshod playing by his musicians but in one case he did not because he realized the player was playing to the top of his ability. It’s often about man management.

- Jack Grealish
- Oliver Giroud
- Mario Balotelli

Granit Xhaka and David Luiz, because they've been watching the whole game from the back and played for various world-class managers at several biggest clubs in the world

I think tge midfield represents the managers' philosophy, so when you've 3 man city midfielders in the team youve got to pick pep. (Liverpool fan since 2009.)

"Winning premier league is tougher than winning champions league" - Pep
Finally someone says that.
Not tru is it
Guardiola wins the champions league 20% of the time he manages in it. 3 in 15 years. He wins the premier league 71% of the time - 5 in 7 years.
@@petermackinnon7551 So you know more than Pep
I think, it's obvious.
Yet it depends on how you define hard. You could say that winning UCL is harder if you mean that it heavily depends on luck. You could be the best team in the world and still lose a match or two on your bad day, so a weaker team would lift the trophy. This has happened to the greatest clubs time after time. But that's not what you call "hard but fair". Tournaments like UCL or, even worse, WC are really unfair, and we have to live with it.
Thats only true for clubs outside the Premier League ofcourse.
