- I´m feeling excited. I just got the new nikon 500mm f4 FL lense. To test it out , it is perfect to do some bird photography. I hoped for some red squirrels as well, but did I just missed that?
The reason why I bought the FL lense is the weight. 20% lighter and more easy to handhold and carry on longer trips.

Hello Trond... the nuthatchers stash the seeds they collect in the cracks of the tree trunk. Birds that fly up don't see the nuthatchers stash thats why you see them going down the tree instead of most birds going up. Smart little ones they are. Love the video and the images you took!. Shoot on!. ❤🇨🇦 They say this is how they survive the winter months. Stashing food in tree trunks
Great information, will make my next encounter with of these even more interesting and enjoyable. You are from Canada, where do see the nuthatches? I’ve consistently seen them when visiting Kitchener Ontario but never locally in Toronto where I live. 🇨🇦 🍁 🐾
Wowwww Absolutely Amazing frame of this beautiful Birds love the episode hv a great weekend my friend Stay safe and take care 💐
Thank you so much Asif.....Your always so supportive and kind.
I like the idea of how you put with little effort the log to hold the food. Nice video Trond
Happy Birthday Trond. Thank you for bringing us your awesome bird photography and video. Watching your vlogs each Sunday completes our weekend. Keep up the good work.
Wow.....thanks John! Much appreciated.

Enjoy your new acquisition Trond. Getting lighter it's always a bonus when we have to carry so much equipment around and do long hikes. Enjoyed your video a lot. Best, Marcos.
Its a must for me, as I handheld it a lot and also for longer hikes. Thanks for the compliment Marcos!

Hi Jeremy! Thank you :) Hope all is well with you
Great images. Good advice about picking a spot instead of trying to move around too much.
Thank you Jeff! Glad you found it useful
Great shots Trond. I have those Nuthatch in my backyard across the pond here in Ohio once in awhile. You are right. They are fast. Love that new lens you have.
Thanks Keith! 😀🙏

Best of luck with the new Lens Trond, I'm sure there is many a great photo waiting to be captured with it. Starting with that cheeky little Squirrel that was teasing you as you made your way home. 👍🏻

Great footage.
Awesome video Trond ❤️👏. I’m also thinking of getting 500mm f4 FL for my D850 💪🏻
Hey Trond, it's always cool seeing you use the hide. Fun use of the camera seeing the nuthatch up close. My wife and I are just heading out to see what we can find in our local forest. Fantastic images! Greg
Hi Greg! Good luck in the forest! Thanks a lot
Hey Trond, we had a great time. We had some fantastic birds. Ruby crown kinglet's, oak titmouse, acorn woodpeckers, spotted towhee, white breasted nuthatch and a great walk. Thanks for wishing us luck! Greg
Gorgeous birds, gorgeous shots. Haven’t seen a Nuthatch for a very long time but spotting Jays recently here in the UK, hope to get some images at some point if only they would stay still long enough 😂 very busy collecting acorns this time of year
Great video and images Trond!
Thanks a lot!
Fantastic as always Trond. Can I please ask what camera settings you are using for this type of photography given the conditions. Thank you 👍
nice shots Trond. That 500 f4 i see will be broken in nicely. The squirrels will be waiting your return lol
Thanks Kevin! I hope so ;)
Did I just miss it.. Sorry for this, but the title is misspelled. Small detail and another cool video!
Thanks Aris! It is changed now ;)
Welcome! I guess the question for december will be: will santa bring a z9 and if he doesn’t will we miss a fundamental tool for wildlife shots? Or will our D500 / D850 do the job too?
Great lens. I’ve been shooting one for a couple of years with a D500 and sometimes a 1.4 tc iii. Put a Z9 on order last week. The only complaints are the rubber bumper on the hood keeps coming off and the tulip shape of the lens makes the lens coat slip down.
A really nice video! I enjoyed it! I'm a wildlife photographer too, and I love the nature and animals they live there. I decided to start with UA-cam. I'm curious where the journey will lead!
Thank you Max! I wish your channel all the best
Gratulerer med dagen og med ny linse. :D
Fantastiske bilder du fikk der av både blåmeisen og Spettmeisen :D Litt synd med det ekornet da, men du fikk i hvertfall bekreftet at det er der :D
Godt jobbet! :)
Tusen takk Trond! Neste gang kommer ekornet ;)
Did you get the new lens for your birthday? I normally just get socks lol. Great video as always
I adore the last Blue Tit image when it is hanging off the tree trunk. Such a beautiful photo. Well done Trond. How long was it from when you put the feed out, to you getting the photos? Do you have to spend hours in the blind?
Thank you Pauline for your kind compliment. I sat for about two hours.
lovely video
now You have the Z9 how does it work with this lens?
Great shots. Tell me, how much time does it usually take you to shoot this? A whole day or a couple of hours?
Thanks a lot! This shot took a couple of hours. But if you include planning much more
How long have you been feeding the birds there before photographing?
Thx for great videos!
hello, would it be possible to have the reference of the bag you use, thank you in advance 🙏
Hi
Is it worth buying 500mm f4E FLED VR LENS in 2024 for my Z7 body
and now a new camera? Z9 would be nice?
It will come 😊
Wonderful as always....🐦, but somebody shouting in the background, I hate when even in the forest there is no peace to enjoy...
