I remember I went to see bring me the horizon at the Brisbane river stage in 2016. It was them, architects & these guys. I went by myself as I had no other friends into this genre. I had never been blown away by a musical performance like this ever in my life, 68 were incredible. The feeling was electric and I distinctly remember thinking how the hell can two guys produce such monstrous energy. I was completely mesmerised by it as they completely stole the show. Anyways love from a random fan in AUS \m/
I had a similar experience. Went to see them opening for 36 Crazyfists (my fav band) in Italy. Didn't know who these well dressed guys were at the time, but they changed the world to me after the first noise they made. I was front row, 30 cm from them and it felt like an extra corporal experience. Still have goosebumps thinking about that performance... Been a huge fan ever since.
Sounds very similar to my first experience with these amazingly talented dudes. I had already been listening to them a little bit but not as deep as I am now .But holy shit!!!! That first show sealed the damn deal. In all my years of concert going, I have never in my life been so in awe of what I was seeing. So much energy. Huge sound. I just kept looking around making sure I wasn't the only one dropped jaw and mesmerized. These dudes have killed it all 5 times I have seen them.
I've seen Josh Scogin twice with Norma Jean, always electric vibes happening, the entire set. He was a little wilder back then ( 2000 - 2001 ) but absolutely still the same.
Josh Scogin is a genius. I was 15 when I bought Bless the Martyr, Kiss the Child, and have listened to him from The Chariot to '68 and I'm 31 now and I still dig everything he's created.
Same. I think I was closer to 17/18 when I bought Martyr and listened to it almost every day on my walk to school. I remember buying other Norma Jean albums and thinking "something's different" and finding out the secret ingredient was Scogin. Everything he touches is authentic. No shade to everyone else who helps make it happen but Josh Scogin has that magic!
Aesthetically and musically, 68’ is pound for pound the most exciting thing in rock and roll, and I hope that they don’t remain one of music’s best kept secrets for much longer.
Love that Norma Jean reference! For anyone that wants to see all the hidden notes and drawings, the comma and period keys go frame by frame while paused :)
It's funny because he was actually the vocalist for Norma jean for a bit. It's like an ongoing joke ever since it was brought up in an interview when he was in the band "the chariot"
I was lucky enough to see Josh perform acoustically as “A Rose By Any other Name” and it was one of the most memorable performances of my life. It was him, and an acoustic guitar in a tiny art studio packed full of maaaybe 50 people. Some shit I’ll never forget.
4/30/22 I had my first taste of of this band and saw Nikko play the guitar with drumstix while Josh held it, some of the coldest shit I ever saw in my life !!!!!!!!!
Just saw them on stage opening for Staind and Korn!!! And I have insider info saying they are being featured on Edge City Podcast!!! Loving new music and new podcast as well!!! Best of both worlds!
Just saw these guys open up at the Staind/Korn concert. These guys had the strongest sound of all the bands on stage that night. Just found a new band to listen too.
@@joshvoight6386 I saw them Saturday in Indianapolis and I said the same damn thing. How do these guys make so much noise and doing it sounding great. Honestly sounded better then Staind and Korn for sure.
I remember seeing Luti-Kriss open for Zao in like 1999 or some shit. Drowning but not Waving was there and I think Atreyu IIRC. Zao was the headliner, of course. Anyways, Joshua Scogin was I guess new to singing and he started the Luti-Kriss set with his back towards the audience until he got into the energy. Great memory. This slaps.
@@Petey0707 I don't know. The two times I've seen '68 he was set up in profile to the audience, facing Neko. Still kinda the same vibe, but not facing completely away, anyway. The only time I got to see The Chariot was at a fest, so the energy is different, and I never got to see LK/NJ with Josh, only with Cory.
If i had just seen you in Camden the other Friday, I would've stayed sober and everything would be fine now. I won't miss the next time 68 is in Jersey
@@mooseknuckle_4474 funny, I saw that tour announcement but didn't see '68 was opening. Not really my style anymore, although I did catch Korn twice back in the early 2000s!
@@mooseknuckle_4474 Yeah, i got to see one of those shows recently for my first concert, and when '68 opened up, i was blown away with their energy and their performance. I strongly recommend trying to see them live, they put on an amazing performance.
@@dreaminginnoother the best thing about Josh too is he does it for the pure love of the game, not interested in fame, fortune or any of that. He just makes kick ass music bc its what he loves doing
@@HTXREP Also hardcore fans know he's the fuckin' king of modern hardcore vocalists. Even Keith Buckley has said so. He's a beast and you can feel the heart. Even when he's screaming his lungs out(or especially when), I feel the love. As a singer for a hardcore band, he is my personal hero for the genre. Also he found the perfect drummer for this. Nikko absolutely kills too. Killer pair
here from the Korn/ Staind/ and who tf is 68 Show!! Cant believe im from atlanta and never heard of yall!! Dope a$$ show though fellows!!! Stay lit, -Techx
The lyrics sound like what you'd hear shouted from the underside a highway overpass during a Live PD segment, and I wish the guitars punched more. But it does manage to rock.
They opened for Korn/Staind this past weekend in Alpharetta, GA and loved their style. Not sure what their names are but the dude singing is hilarious! Definitely put on a great show! 🔥🔥🤘😆🤘
Just discovered you guys. Semi-literally, just now. I was trying to find a Pantera song, and the only lyric I could remember is them yelling "sixty eight!" So I UA-cam searched "68". Clicked on a few of your songs. Good stuff! Now onto Pantera: Revolution Is My Name! (68)
Did anyone notice the Norma Jean visual reference?!? At the part where Josh says, "you kiss your mother with that ugly mouth?" Looks like he is going under water. At the last second, his hand turns into a hook and it looks like the figure on the O God album cover!

100% one of the best live bands ever. Two guys with more energy then 9.

I went on my own to a gig they were supporting AAF and POD and they are awesome and it was Loud

Perfectly fitting for a Red Hood vibe.

Shout to DC's Titans for featuring them!

Yeah dude!!! This is a special band.
I hope they keep it a secret though! Josh Scogin will end it if it gets too big lol

How this song doesn't have a million views already eludes me. This is one of the best songs of the decade so far to ever be composed in rock music!
You just love me for my riffs.
I will see them at Tid the season. Can't wait. I found them just now at this moment. What a glorious moment it is.

I saw '68 a few years ago in the back of this tiny bar in SC and it was one of the best shows I've even been to.
The amount of work that this video had to have taken....amazing. Consistent creativity at the highest level. 🐐. All time.
Saw '68 in Noblesville, IN this weekend. Was VERY impressed! Reminded me a lot of Local H. Good stuff.
