Juwel Rio 450 LED: Update one my bigger aquarium. I removed all plants as they didn’t grow as planned. It’s now a plantless blackwater style setup for the moment!

The lemon tetras really pop in the blackwater set up without the plants. I think it's awesome that you show the "in between" stages of an aquarium - how it keeps changing and evolving over time. No aquarium is ever "perfect"...but isn't that half the fun? ❤

yes i really love the lemons in this tank. they do pop! and you are completely right. tank has not reached it's final stage haha. i'm sure i will add some amazon swords to the tank. but that's why i love this hobby so much. thanks for the comment 😃

Danke dir! Nein habe aktuell nur zwei Becken. Das Juwel 450 und 180. Die Lidos hatte ich verkauft, als ich mir das 720L Becken gekauft hatte. Ich werde sicher noch ein Rio 240 kaufen und dann ist gut. Aber eins nach dem anderen. 😃

​@@freshwatertanks irgendwo sind Grenzen 😂, bei mir stehen ein 240er und ein 180er reicht mir völlig, die neuen Becken von dir gefallen mir sehr, auch wenn das alte 450er einfach ein Traum war.

ja 3 stück sind für mich gut machbar mit den wöchentlichen wasserwechseln. und ja vermisse das alte 450er heute noch. die grossen wurzeln (wenn auch sehr unpraktisch) und auch die geos 😞 aber kann man halt nicht mehr ändern

Hi , also zuerst mal du hast ein ganz tolles Becken. Ich bin relativ neu in der Aquaristik und überlege die ganze Zeit ebenfalls mein Becken ohne Pflanzen zu gestallten. Leider hatte ich direkt einen Algenbefall wo ich nur teilweise die Pflanzen ausgedünnt hatte. Wie verhinderst du den Algenwachstum bei dir im Becken? Hast du da einen Tipp für mich?

Hi. Vielen Dank! Becken ohne Pflanzen haben schon was. Algenbefall verhinderst du mit regelmässigen Wasserwechseln und kurze Beleuchtungsdauer. Mein Becken ist nur 6 Stunden beleuchtet. Aber habe jetzt doch ein paar wenige Pflanzen hinzugefügt 😃

​@@freshwatertanksj'ai un juwel 350l avec 4 poisson rouge comète du sable et uniquement 3 gros cailloux en décoration eau cristalline rampe led d'origine ça fait 6 mois qu'il tourne je met 9h d'éclairage par jour aucun problème d'algues verte j'ai eu au début des brune sur les vitres et après plus je change 20l par semaine
