28. Interview with Osama Al Dosary | Independent Advisor

Osama is currently an Independent Advisor, utilizing his 23+ years of experience in both International and Local industry experience in the area of Information and Communication Technology. He is also the former President and CEO of Salam (Integrated Telecom). Before Osama assumed the leadership of Salam, he served as an advisor to the Minister of Communications and Information Technology and Director-General for Infrastructure Development and was responsible for ICT Infrastructure initiatives within Vision 2030 National Transformation Program.
Prior to joining the Ministry, he held various roles in two multinational companies for over 12 years, including working at VMware Cloud Networking and Security Business Unit, and at Cisco Systems Emerging Technology Group.
He also volunteered as an organizer of the Middle East Network Operators Group (MENOG) for 14 years, with 7 of those years as the Chairman, and served as a member in the first RIPE Program Committee for 7 years. Osama earned a master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California, a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from King Saud University and has a Diploma in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors.
