Pull it out, and there should be a cable to pull that will release the door. 2. When you save a dashcam, it saves the last 10 minutes. There was something else, but I'm not remembering right now

I was a banker 25 years ago, but doubt that basics have changed. A loan to an LLC requires a copy of the Articles of Incorporation, a copy of the minutes from a meeting of the board of directors (dated) with a recordation of the vote to designate an individual to conduct lending or financial transactions in the name of the corporation. Their organization designation (ie President, Secretary, Chief Financial Officer etc) should be noted. Last 3 years of financial statements. If none, or if income is insufficient to support loan, your personal guarantee of LLC debt may be required. An advantage of the LLC is that depreciation and operating expenses for the vehicle can reduce LLC income for tax purposes. Once the vehicle is sold, the sale amount is reported as a part of current year income for the LLC. A fee to a business accountant that prepares financial statements for the LLC is advised to fully understand current tax consequences and how these might flow to the owners of the LLC. Peace

As far as long term storage. If you don't turn off sentry mode, when the battery gets down to 20%, it will turn it off to protect the battery from getting to low

I don’t know if this applies to all models, but with my 2024 Model 3, pulling the emergency door exit lever while the car has power will lower the window, just like the normal door exit. It’s only when there is no power that the window will not lower, and caution is advised.
Like you I was planning CT to be our road trip and towing vehicle at 500 mi range. At 340 we would take our 400 mi range model S. I am going to wait for more range, improved turning radius, lower price, and maybe by that time HW5.

18:18 - sentry mode only eats a lot of battery power if you have cameras turned on for sentry. I turned off cameras, because it kept recording EVERY time anyone walked, or drove by the car - it makes a giant difference!
Good call on deciding to order the CT. I also recently received my email, but not able to afford it right now. I have a 2022 Model Y with 20k miles and just under two years old. I can’t afford to take the loss on it right now. I will re evaluate the CT decision next year. I definitely want the truck, and I would if I could.
Buying a Cybertruck through an LLC is easier when paying cash but can also be done through financing. I called the Tesla number provided in the Cybertruck registration portion of the Tesla app, and they guided me through the entire process.

9:53 I've seen at least one video on Wham Bam Tesla Cam where the horn honk supposedly caused a portion of the action to be missed, because some activity happened after the honk. I leave that option turned off. I set saving to Automatic and you can always just touch the little recording icon (It looks like a camera with a red dot above it and slightly on one side), when you touch the icon you'll get a message that the recording is being saved, lately, it also turns off the dot while the recording is being saved. I recommend waiting a minute before pressing the icon, but no longer, as it may fail to record what happens immediately before and after the icon is pressed (at least, that happened to me once... had a 10-20 second hole in the recording, right where I was wanting the record. sigh....) You might try experimenting with it a little when not engaged in excitement, just to get comfortable with the function.
We've been having similar discussions... To Cybertruck or not to Cybertruck, that is the question. We could use it to drive to less visited National Parks, cart around bonsais and music equipment, use for home improvement, carry kayaks and bikes, sleep in the truck. They should have multiple low power modes to quickly toggle all of the affected settings. Also it should tell you how long the car can go without a charge in each mode. Maybe it could also auto decay to lower power modes as its battery drains down.

When you get to the car wash. Put your car in park. Go to settings. Choose dynamics. Switch your stopping mode from HOLD to ROLL. Now you can put it in drive and when you take your foot off the brake leave it in drive but the car will act just like it's in neutral. I honestly do not know why nobody knows how to do that. It's very simple. Just remember when you get done to switch your settings back to hold stopping mode.
FYI, if you buy the CT through an LLC, its not supposed to be your personal vehicle. You're supposed to use it for you LLC business. And its new territory to say your business is UA-cam...just take footage every time you drive it...😅

I find that for light vehicles (less than 10k lb) the standard (per mile) deduction is usually more advantages than actual expense (and even more so for an EV). Thanks for being early adopters (will make a future CT a little more affordable for us mainstream adopters). HOWEVER with the current lack of privacy of owner data (audio, video, real-time location, etc.) I am not likely to buy ANY new vehicle (unless I can selectivly disable the collection and access to said data).
On ver. 12.3.6 FSD, (2024.14.9 xxxx...) it is not correct to say the emergency door opener does not lower the window when you exit the car, it definitely does on my 2024 model Y LR. Therefore you can use it without damaging the trim rubber. You, good Dr. get the misinformation crown for your two errors.
I hope Tesla has made FSD and the light bar available by the time you get your truck. I’ve heard lots of complaints from early adopters who has paid extra for those features and still have not received them.
CT definitely looks nicer wrapped. the stainless steel look just doesn't do it for me. I've seen several non wrapped. I saw one wrapped and was like yeeah...way better wrapped

Got the email to order the Foundation. I’m not willing to let go of my Y at a loss and go that deeply in debt and another heavily upside down situation with the CT. Hoping by the time my opportunity to get a “regular” CT the $7500 credit is available. I’d consider (and likely will) get one then. By then if my Y is still my every day car it will be not worth much, but I will have used it fully. I will have gotten my purchase price money’s worth. Enjoy your new CT! Congratulations!

8:40 You mean that the USB filled up with security cam and saved dash cam vids and it still claimed to be recording? (little red dot on?) Or did it stop recording and you didn't notice the dot being missing? Easy to miss. You are right that Tesla should probably at least alert us if it finds the storage device full, but I do wonder about whether it left that red dot on.
Our order came up, and we have not ordered. I think we will wait for the option of the $80K version. The back seat does have emergency release, but it is at the bottom of the compartment on the storage bin on the door, under a 'access panel' that can be fairly easily opened. Not easy for a small person (kids, small adults should be OK). Non FSD autopilot nags anyway both before and after the FSD Supervised came out.
I feel Cabin overheat protection is just a waste of energy. I just pre-cool before getting in. My Model 3 is 5 years old and has had plenty of 100+ degree days baking in the New Mexico sun.
Car wash, just put it in"roll" instead of "hold". Why don't people know that? Just switch to "roll" in stopping mode under Dynamics. Then you leave the car in drive, but it acts just like a ice car in neutral.
Just got my invite. After pondering, as I had many of your same concerns, I decided to go all in, and ordered the foundation series cyberbeast. Now understand, flashy is not normally my thing. I am replacing my very beat up 2000 Tundra. And from a financial point of view, $132K would be way better spent on Tesla stock, particularly given the current price. But, thinking how fun and cool it would be to have a cyberbeast, I just went for it.

The only way I can justify buying a 2 motor CT is that I hope it to be the last vehicle I will ever need to own. When I'm too old to drive myself, it will drive me where I need to go. It will be a good road tripping vehicle, it will carry all my boat stuff, tow anything I am likely to need to tow. It's made of stainless and I shouldn't need to replace it due to rust. I'm closer to 50 than 40 now and it should last for the miles I will drive in the rest of my life. I can't justify the cost otherwise.

I got trapped in a gas car! I could not find the door open button! Windows kept going up and down and the side mirrors were freaking out! I almost died! Turns out they expect you to pull a mechanical handle like a caveman!? Never drive ICE. They are dangerous. The headlights would not even come on when it got dark outside. Then I ran out of fuel because it had fuel when I started, just a quick 80 mile drive, but it did not tell me how many miles I could go before it was empty! I just had a stupid light on the old speed dial behind the wheel. Also, that speed dial was very inaccurate! The cop said I was speeding but the thing only had 60 and then 80! How was I to know how fast it was going? Oh... when you walk away, they do not lock. How is that safe? Anyone can steal it!

Actually Cabin Overheat protection at least in the Intel Models stop working after 12 hours. So the climate control wouldn’t use that much power over several days.
I'm a big Tesla fan with 3 Tesla cars plus Tesla Solar and Powerwalls on the house for essentially free vehicle charging 90% of the time. My Cybertruck Rez # came up several weeks ago. I had leased a model Y in 2021 as a placeholder vehicle for the Cybertruck. Unlike you guys I don't feel I need a truck and that combined with the FS premium made the Cybertruck a nogo for me. Instead, I bought a used (50K miles) 2018 Model X, 6 seater with all options (orig $150K ) for $42K and that includes FSD and a 1 year Tesla Warranty. I love the X and perhaps in 4-5 years when I might be able to get a used Cybertruck at close to that number, I'll bite the bullet and buy what for me would also be my last vehicle purchase. The X is in great condition and gets close to 300 mle real world range so it will be hard to unseat. If the Model X proves to be problematic, the move to the Cybertruck will be accelerated. In any case, I loved my Model Y and my wife has a leased 2021 Model 3 and will be buying another M3 in a couple of months. She would love to not have a car and the Robotaxi is a perfect solution for her and her basic transportation needs.
I hate so mention this but as someone who was in the retail auto business for 3 decades I can tell you that a low percentage of car salesman spend much time showing a person how to use the buttons and bells on the vehicles. They should but unless asked most don't bother. Many people who trade their old cars in never knew how to work things they had all that time.
Time to get a local accountant. You have another business and you can write off the CT cost along with all sorts of expenses. It’s a no-brainer. Even for an absent minded professor.
IMHO you've got the wrong idea about commuting with the Cybercab. Keep both Teslas, have one drive you to work and then send it off to make you money as a robotaxi…
Talk to your tax advisor, If you are going to use it for personal use you probably can't deduct it for the business, but you might be able to write off the mileage when using it for business purposes. I would remind people that are late getting in on the Founders series, it might be YEARS before getting to your reservation number. I am around 138,000, ordered late next day & 1/2 and i am not expecting to get called up until late 2025 to early 2026. The cyber truck might be over on GVWR to qualify for the $7500.

When I put my reservation in for the cyber truck the estimated cost was 50k
The on switch for a Tesla is the brake pedal the off switch is putting it in park and exiting the vehicle then it will shut off on its own.

It's harder using the screen on a RHD car. It's really hard left handed operation when im right handed.
Cabin overheat is only for up to 12 hours after you leave the car, it wont do that for days at the airport.

Same here, they changed the software, keep trying, that is practice before getting in the car wash. I just found a car wash that doesn't move the car.

RE LLC: elect subchapter S destination (income or loss passes through to owners according to percentage ownership).

On ver. 12.3.6 FSD, (2024.14.9 xxxx...) it is not correct to say the emergency door opener does not lower the window when you exit the car, it definitely does on my 2024 model Y LR. airports need something like Tesla combo charger especially if it could be done 110v optons. This is basically destination charging at all airports!
I hope Tesla has made FSD and the light bar available by the time you get your truck. I’ve heard lots of complaints from early adopters who has paid extra for those features and still have not received them.

CT definitely looks nicer wrapped. the stainless steel look just doesn't do it for me. I've seen several non wrapped. I saw one wrapped and was like yeeah...way better wrapped
My husband and I have a CT on order and our number did come up. We go back and forth about getting it or not getting it also. It would be a much easier decision if the stock price would go up and we really want the 80k awd one so we will probably decline 😕

Got the email to order the Foundation. I’m not willing to let go of my Y at a loss and go that deeply in debt and another heavily upside down situation with the CT. Hoping by the time my opportunity to get a “regular” CT the $7500 credit is available. I’d consider (and likely will) get one then. By then if my Y is still my every day car it will be not worth much, but I will have used it fully. I will have gotten my purchase price money’s worth. Enjoy your new CT! Congratulations!

8:40 You mean that the USB filled up with security cam and saved dash cam vids and it still claimed to be recording? (little red dot on?) Or did it stop recording and you didn't notice the dot being missing? Easy to miss. You are right that Tesla should probably at least alert us if it finds the storage device full, but I do wonder about whether it left that red dot on.

The back seat does have emergency release, but it is at the bottom of the compartment on the storage bin on the door, under a 'access panel' that can be fairly easily opened. Not easy for a small person (kids, small adults should be OK).
Non FSD autopilot nags anyway both before and after the FSD Supervised came out.
I feel Cabin overheat protection is just a waste of energy. I just pre-cool before getting in. My Model 3 is 5 years old and has had plenty of 100+ degree days baking in the New Mexico sun.
I use vent mode in Arizona.
Car wash, just put it in"roll" instead of "hold". Why don't people know that? Just switch to "roll" in stopping mode under Dynamics. Then you leave the car in drive, but it acts just like a ice car in neutral.
Just got my invite. After pondering, as I had many of your same concerns, I decided to go all in, and ordered the foundation series cyberbeast. Now understand, flashy is not normally my thing. I am replacing my very beat up 2000 Tundra. And from a financial point of view, $132K would be way better spent on Tesla stock, particularly given the current price. But, thinking how fun and cool it would be to have a cyberbeast, I just went for it.
Using your home charging cable at a long-term parking garage. How do you protect it from being stolen?

we plan on getting a cybertruck in about 1 year
The only way I can justify buying a 2 motor CT is that I hope it to be the last vehicle I will ever need to own. When I'm too old to drive myself, it will drive me where I need to go. It will be a good road tripping vehicle, it will carry all my boat stuff, tow anything I am likely to need to tow. It's made of stainless and I shouldn't need to replace it due to rust. I'm closer to 50 than 40 now and it should last for the miles I will drive in the rest of my life. I can't justify the cost otherwise.

~ 5:15 There is (was?) a great set of introductory educational videos at the Hertz website for people wanting to rent and drive Teslas. Very unfortunate about Hertz dumping its EV fleet. (Did it ever even actually take possession of 100,000 Teslas? - I heard only about 20-30,000 used ones were flooding the market. Maybe they will become robotaxis or really good entry level EVs for used car buyers. And the rent-a-car business will likely decline in major venues.)
I got trapped in a gas car! I could not find the door open button! Windows kept going up and down and the side mirrors were freaking out! I almost died! Turns out they expect you to pull a mechanical handle like a caveman!? Never drive ICE. They are dangerous. The headlights would not even come on when it got dark outside. Then I ran out of fuel because it had fuel when I started, just a quick 80 mile drive, but it did not tell me how many miles I could go before it was empty! I just had a stupid light on the old speed dial behind the wheel. Also, that speed dial was very inaccurate! The cop said I was speeding but the thing only had 60 and then 80! How was I to know how fast it was going? Oh... when you walk away, they do not lock. How is that safe? Anyone can steal it!

Actually Cabin Overheat protection at least in the Intel Models stop working after 12 hours. So the climate control wouldn’t use that much power over several days.
I'm a big Tesla fan with 3 Tesla cars plus Tesla Solar and Powerwalls on the house for essentially free vehicle charging 90% of the time. My Cybertruck Rez # came up several weeks ago. I had leased a model Y in 2021 as a placeholder vehicle for the Cybertruck. Unlike you guys I don't feel I need a truck and that combined with the FS premium made the Cybertruck a nogo for me. Instead, I bought a used (50K miles) 2018 Model X, 6 seater with all options (orig $150K ) for $42K and that includes FSD and a 1 year Tesla Warranty. I love the X and perhaps in 4-5 years when I might be able to get a used Cybertruck at close to that number, I'll bite the bullet and buy what for me would also be my last vehicle purchase.
The X is in great condition and gets close to 300 mle real world range so it will be hard to unseat. If the Model X proves to be problematic, the move to the Cybertruck will be accelerated. In any case, I loved my Model Y and my wife has a leased 2021 Model 3 and will be buying another M3 in a couple of months. She would love to not have a car and the Robotaxi is a perfect solution for her and her basic transportation needs.
I treated my wife to a Tesla model Y for her 80th birthday. Cybertruck coming soon.
I hate so mention this but as someone who was in the retail auto business for 3 decades I can tell you that a low percentage of car salesman spend much time showing a person how to use the buttons and bells on the vehicles. They should but unless asked most don't bother. Many people who trade their old cars in never knew how to work things they had all that time.

IMHO you've got the wrong idea about commuting with the Cybercab. Keep both Teslas, have one drive you to work and then send it off to make you money as a robotaxi…

Talk to your tax advisor, If you are going to use it for personal use you probably can't deduct it for the business, but you might be able to write off the mileage when using it for business purposes.
I would remind people that are late getting in on the Founders series, it might be YEARS before getting to your reservation number. I am around 138,000, ordered late next day & 1/2 and i am not expecting to get called up until late 2025 to early 2026.
The cyber truck might be over on GVWR to qualify for the $7500.
