I have some subassemblies done and in paint, mostly Tamiya TS6 Matte Black, but other colors will soon follow. Tonight I spent about an hour prepping the body for paint using 3200 grit Micro Mesh pads, cleaned the body and off to the paint booth. I did have some issues with the paint flow but found out it was because I didn't have the nozzle tip tightened enough. Good experience for future airbrush work, for sure!
Paint: Scale Finishes 1971 Grabber Green Metallic 10:1 paint to hardener
Airbrush: Grex Genesis xSi, .5 tip and 18-20 psi
3 colors coats, ten minutes' time between each coat.
