Sorry in advance, I know I will sound thick but I'm really struggling with two things here. So I've 2 questions please,I would be so grateful if you help me answer them .
1. Why on marking on ground they add w s e n. Example if I'm going A61, I see there is lane says A61s , another lane A61e. Tbh I get confused and dunno which one I take.
2. Again if I'm going towards A61 on roundabout, I find three lanes say Ivan use to go to A61, so which one I'm supposed to use.
They tend to add compass directions on some larger roundabouts to help drivers to get in the correct lane. Example
On approach to a motorway junction with a roundabout it might say M1 south to London or M1 north to Sheffield and on roundabout you will see M1s in one lane and M1n in the other lane to help drivers with lanes and lane changing.
The second question.
You will have more than one lane going in the same direction because when exiting the roundabout you will probably have two lanes coming off to that direction

Depends how clear your view is to the right. Usually u can see more on big ones
