Do you guys get a lot of homework in optometry school or does it only consist of learning the lectures and studying for what you learned in the lectures? Also in your first year classes do they teach you from the start ? ...like the first steps of the material or do you already have to be good at that?
So excited to see you post a new video. I’m currently in HCC right now, but will be transferring to the university of Houston in 2022. Since you made it to all the way to optometry school; could you give me an advice on what is a competitive gpa to maintain during my time in the University of Houston. My current gpa is 4.0, but I haven’t taken any of my chemistry classes, and those have me quite worried. Thank you.
Khanh Ton I seen that video and most of your videos, but I was wondering you might had a different opinion, since you are where I want to be in the future :)
Khanh Ton Also it may be a personal question and I apologize ahead of time, but where you really good at math prior to taking the OAT? And is the math in the OAT crushingly hard? Thank you.
@@wdf498 haha my opinion doesn't matter since at the end of the day, I won't be deciding whether you get accepted or not. I am pretty good at math in general haha but the math isn't too bad. There are a lot of multistep questions but I feel like Kaplan did a good job of preparing you for them.
Check out my videos on how I studied for different subjects! Every class is different so unfortunately there isn’t a clear cut answer haha. But my go to is flash cards like anki or quizlet with pics!
@@KhanhTon Thats good to know, this is one of the schools I have been looking at and was curious about where you were in terms of sleeping arrangements. But if apartments are cheaper, sounds to be a better option if attending that Uni. Thanks for replying!
Hi, Khanh! I'm an Optometry student from the Philippines and it would really help me if you could lend me notes from your classes. 😍😥 Thank you so much.
The light that comes out from the machine that you use to check the CORNEA doesn’t effect the eye 👁??
I hope to get out of nearsightedness!!
Will your clinical research help me go from 20/50 to 20/20?

We don’t get any homework! You just study on your own term and learn to keep up.
They teach us from the start!😊
Khanh Ton okay thank you !

Also, what was your second school of choice?
None! I only applied to one school☺️
Do you rent an apartment or are you in a student dorm?
I lived in the dorm my first year but it was WAY too pricey so I now rent an apartment.
