Once again, despite the critics (thankfully a minority) who have dumped on the motive behind, and the final result of the Beatles
"final song", this performance proves that after 60 years, they Beatles are still inspiring other musicians. How can you ask for more than that?

I'll be 60 on November 19th. I became a singer, songwriter and musician because of the Beatles and John was my biggest inspiration out of the Fab Four. It's simply astonishing to me how much this song has inspired countless young artists to cover this beautiful song that he probably thought would never see the light of day let alone wind up being the "Last Beatles Song" amazing.

The quiet voices of the two brothers and delicate guitar playing brings out the powerful bittersweet emotions of the song - of everlasting love, wistful feelings of longing, sadness, and a fragile hope of somehow, someday being with a loved one gone away. Thank you so much for doing this song and video. I came across it today by accident and almost didn't play it. I knew from the very first guitar chords and the beautiful voice of the opening lines, that not only was this performance amazing, it was special. It brought tears to me, remembering not only the Beatles, John, George, but of loved ones who passed away in my life. What a privilege it was to hear this song and see this video. @@ericleon6482the Beatles - here I mean John and Paul - were influenced as teenagers by the Everly Brothers sound- their harmonies- so what I mean is that this version of Now and Then is reminiscent of the way the Everly Brothers might have done it. Check out some of their songs and you’ll see what I mean. Simon & Garfunkel were influenced by the Everly Brothers too.

Very nice! I really think that you captured the heart and soul of the song. A Beatles’s song always had incredible vocals, and vocally, you gave a wonderful performance. Your harmonies really captured the song’s melancholic angst. Also, Beatles’ songs were never ostentatious. Your performance was about doing justice to the song and not about showcasing your guitar playing prowess. On that subject, there’s something incredibly special about musicians who play their acoustic guitars so beautifully. You didn’t grandstand. Instead, you let your skill and talent speak for itself. The greats do this. James Taylor, Paul Simon, America, the genius of Paul McCartney and George Harrison, etc - it’s all about the song, the art and not the artist.
I hope you write your own material. I’d really like to see how you direct your talent.
