Set up a co-op program so they work the first year for the necessary 12 months needed for Quebec residency. Then study full-time at the low tuition rate.
I got my BA from Concordia in 1980. I loved Montreal. I lived there almost twenty years. The Quebec government is deliberately driving anglophones out of the city and the province.
the university degree really isn't worth it anymore
Since many universities have satellite campuses why wouldn't McGill set up a graduating campus in Ottawa. With the growth in population of Ottawa another university would be a viable alternative.
It would also shield english students from the perception of bigotry by the Quebec government
The 3 universities agreement of stating french as an at risk language. It had nothing to do with the holding of funding cuts over their heads. Ocean Beach front property in Saskatchewan has been sold with less veracity.
Who's gonna go pay for and study for an extra year if you don't have to. Maybe try doing online courses if the students grades won't count towards the GPA
I have 2 .5 degrees from Concordia.. the best University. The money wouldn't stop me from going there, but the language issue would.
This is a really fascist move.
Montreal really should separate from Quebec and have some peace of mind.
