I tend to like music this adventurous.

Wall-to-wall DiFFERENT, and expertly performed. One of those places you can’t get to unless an expert musician paves the way. To take my appreciation and understanding to the next level, I’ll crank up this album while I clean up the kitchen ! That way, it’ll knock on my door differently.

Very accomplished music. But I definitely need to be in the right space to really enjoy it.

Fancy synths aren't always necessary - this works well with a simple piano as a main instrument. Another French band that makes that work is Clearlight who originally utilised a lot of Gong alumni to keep things exciting. This was just as good as side 1 with the same points and criticisms - nice female vocals but I would avoid the male ones and the 'kids playing' sample was very fitting. Thanks for this introduction to Monsieur Belio who was completely new to me. On checking Bandcamp I notice that he cites e.s.t as an influence and they're another left-field band worth exploring.

    Hi Jim,
    Mixed feelings about side one.
1st song. I like the beginning of the song. And the rest isn’t bad either.
Grey zone. Very colorful music at the start for a grey zone. The middle part with mainly piano I would call ‘gepingel’, strumming; not to my liking. The end part where the other instruments come in is better but it’s too short.
3th song. Lounge music again but it’s not bad. The piano bit that followed is simple but ok. I would love a synth here like Tangerine Dream uses.
A jazzy bit comes next. Good but not special.
Simpler times. Doesn’t really work for me. Very dull and dark.
Last track. No thank you, not for me.
