Don’t get me wrong I love rejjie and he’s really hit a home run here but he doesn’t deserve all the credit for this song. I don’t think many people realise he didn’t actually write this song and it was originally a song by Republic of Loose called Steady Song. The different part is the verse where rejjie raps. I absolutely love rejjie’s version of the song but think the original artists should get some praise also!
Still a great song and no hate to rejjie at all just think people should know where it all came from.
I got such a shock when I came here expecting Rejjie Snow and got a cover of The Steady Song. It's class like, it's just mad to hear someone covering Republic of Loose

It's called sampling, how have you not heard of this before? All artists sample their music, except for mumble of course.
I did not know this, thank you. The only parts I liked/loved in this song where the original parts. The "rapping" part didn't seem to really be at the same level of creativity to me. Now I know why. Also, people calling this "sampling" stop trolling. Do you even know what a sample is? That's like calling a 7 course meal "an appetizer".

Republic of Loose were ahead of their time, they played in a cd shop I worked in back in 2004, and it is still one of my favourite performances I've ever seen

This song is so weird yet so fucking good.
Its like he combined all these "happy-colors", yet managed to make it all seem so grotesquely put. Kind of like the sequence of a coke and heroine high. It starts off feeling good (but there's that weird feeling about doing it) and then the coming down of the two drugs is just horrible. Like you just let off a sticky-stink bomb in your dopamine receptors.
Was such a pleasure directing this video for such a wicked song and artist, Rejjie Snow is a star for letting my crazy mind go wild! @monicagonzalezcarter

Love it, but i cant get over the fact the originap by republic of loose has about 1/7th of the views. Both are great and this is different enough that it stands on its own, but close enough that I come back to it each time after i listen to the original. Brilliant

One of my favorites from dear Annie. It’s kinda a weird song and this video emphasizes that but to me it has a quality that I can’t really place. It always puts me in a good mood.
