Joe Rudi was my childhood favorite. I hated when he went to the Angels. I saw him in Palm Springs spring training game. I was in awe. I remember seeing in the uniform thinking he will always be an Athletic in my eyes..
A's probably win 5 WS in a row if not for free agency. Vida Blue was lights out in 71 the year the Orioles beat them in the playoffs. 17 wins at the A/S break, still the record I think. No one, Feller, Koufax, Johnson not even Cy Young ever had 17 wins at the all star break. You will never see that again.
This was my childhood alltime team, and Rudi was my favorite player.
Joe Rudi made one of the greatest catches in World Series history.
My all time favorite ball player. I met him a couple times. 🎉The best.
Did you talk about that World Series Catch.
LOVE these guys...What a "TEAM". Dependable, and clutch performers. Especially Mr. Rudi. That Coliseum should have been packed April 16th!
I got to meet Joe Rudi at a Modesto A's game the night they retired his number at John Thurman field. He signed my bobblehead. It was awesome.
Grew up a Giants fan, was always a Joe Rudi fan. A gentleman and a class act. The centerpiece of the dynasty.
The Great Joe Rudy...🏆🏆🏆⚾️⚾️⚾️
I became a switch hitter, not because Joe Rudi was a switch hitter, but because I batted lefthanded and he was my hero, a right handed hitter!
