Love these, Michelle! We’re so blessed to have you teaching us new things. I especially love the little tips that only florists or designers know, like the pine cone on the dowel. Thanks so much!
Michelle, you've given me so many good ideas for my two new (purchased this summer) porch step planters for the winter season! Thank you for the inspirational ideas!
Thanks for the inspiration, Michelle! I had fun foraging my landscape last year for winter pots on my porch. I used juniper, boxwood, and spruce for a nice mix of winter greens nestled around a white lit house with various blue Christmas ornaments in front for a lil pop of winter color. The pots turned out cuter than my description, but they had a cabin in the woods feel to them. Have fun teaching the class. Hope you have a great turnout!
We planted red twig dogwood and conifers like junipers, spruce and firs for future pot decorating. We have 7 acres of woods with different pine, cedar, for and oak trees so we have pine cones and loads of fallen lichen and some with pine cones and acorn tops attached to them branches. We also have hardened mushrooms on our trees and old bird nests. So much free stuff! Then I forage the rest like fallen birch and grasses etc. I am doing our urns this week. So excited!
I've made outdoor pots of greens for the last 3 years. I have 3 various lengths of birch logs that I use. But you gave me an idea - i don't have a metal ring but what about using a small size hola-hoop. I love the red berries and cardinal and the metal bucket with the trees embossed on it. I wish I lived closer so I could go to your classes. Have you thought about traveling to other greenhouses to give classes? Thanks Michelle for the demo.
Absolutely beautiful Michelle. I love them both. I can’t wait to try to make one myself. Michelle I have some photos of my daughter and her babies I’d love to put on a piece of birch. The mod lodge won’t ruin it? Thank you so much for sharing ❤
Loving how you explain what you're using...
Then go into fast motion mode!

So cute. Where could you buy the tins. If we don’t have suppliers.
I typed in winter tin for planting in a Google search and a lot of options popped up. Also try a garden center.
