Ive got AC Pure latest CSP latest. The only issue i have since all the new stuff is my Game crashes when i take a photo via the F8 or F12 buttons. Ive had to resort to going back to using SOL. Any fixes would be appreciated.
After 5 years on consoles I upgraded to PC and a DD base. Adjusted quickly to the new hardware but console racing was much more plug and play but you also just got what u go with no mods. Will set mine up like this minus the subscriptions as Im not bougie). Then its onto working my way up the LFM ladder. Thanks!
I got it on steam for 8 e today and my g923 wheel and i uave to say i did my first race with mx5s and was hella fun and sooooo much better then forza motorsport w included setup for my wheel and steering and everyghing feels just amazing comparing to forza motorsport
Pure and SOL do the same thing but Pure has been developed to take what SOL did to the next level. So you can install either or both. But can only run one at a time. The only thing to be mindful of is does the plfilter you use support SOL or Pure or both. Most of those being developed today support Pure. If you download Pure there’s a document inside the zip file which explains the differences 👍🏻
i cant get past the custom shader patch section. content manager gives me error "Not supported request: “csp/preview”. Make sure it’s in valid format."

Thanks for the Hardware tip to use the GPU to render Anisotropic Filtering. Made a noticeable difference in FPS. QUESTION: What button does AC just to turn on wind screen wipers. In the controls settings there are controls to turn them off, there also controls to control the speed of the wipers, but there are no buttons to turn the wipers on. How do I turm them on?
@@thesimracingshaolinstudentThe wipers are working differently. I mapped a button to the speedup (Alt+Numpad 2) map. In the car, pressing the mapped button starts the wiper for 1 wipe cycle, then stops. Multiple presses of the same button only makes the wipers run faster for a few cycles, but then stops. I cannot makes the wipers run continuously. Any additional suggestions are welcomed.
Confused, you can just press a button and install custom shader patch from content manager free, but in the video you leave CM, go to a website, join a monthly subscription for access to CSP. Is this the same software you can install free from CM, or am I missing something regarding these extra steps?
SOL or Pure bring changeable weather. Pure is designed to address many of the problems of SOL. I would advise installing Pure but you don’t need both 👍🏻

I figured out that you need to install Sol, which is a custom weather mod similar to Pure. In this video he only installs Pure and never shows how to Install sol. Once you install Sol, you will see those Phyton apps like in the video @ 11:55 You can search google "sol assetto corsa download" And you will see the first page from RaceDepartment. It is very straight forward to install. @@mittinss

Already asking for newcomers to buy the ultimate bundle (with keys nonetheless). You should only suggest those things not make it sound like you should pay for them to get a premium experience. What if people find out they don't like it, sim racing games like this is a bit complicated and hard for people who haven't played them before and some might just not like it. Then it will just be a waste of money and might even leave a bad taste. Just the base game (it's extremely cheap during sales) is fine for most, it goes on sale quite frequently so I would say just buy the base game and if you like it then buy the ultimate bundle for cheap in the next sale. That way you get time to get used to it and start craving for more and it's fun in the end.
Had the same problem today with my thrustmaster t300. Problem was that i had to re-learn all functions (gas, break, clutch and shifters) in the configuration. After that it worked fine.

It's not clear, first time watching this I believed I had to pay for several things that were available freely - a better option when you're just trying things out. I understand wanting the devs to get paid but its bordering on misleading imo. Watch other guides and you'll know what I mean.

Pure is the newer version of Sol so it replaces it. And it they work independently too. If you're still having issues I would uninstall both, then install Pure. 👍🏻

yes its got python and lua, i did eventually manage to find where you select them too it was just in a different place in content manager for me. I still dont get that menu in game though when in vr. those three dots at your right side where you get the drop down menu@@thesimracingshaolinstudent
This is deeply frustrating. Do NOT install pp filters via the drag and drop method. This does not work if you dont have the full version of CM and sometimes the install fails even with full CM. 99% of issues i help people troubleshoot with c13 aegis is a failure to install correctly. And since the filter actually makes use of the dynamic Pure API, failure to load the script, gimps the filter significantly. This doesnt matter as much with basic filters that just recycle peter boese's work and require a pure config, but for advanced ones like C13 and SKY, this matters a lot. Stop spreading bad practices.
Hey thanks for the feedback but I’ve never had any issues with these 2 filters using drag and drop and as this is a beginners guide this is why I chose them. Beginners want easy steps and as few steps as possible. I would welcome easier install scripts for beginners like Peter’s Pure install script for filters that have to be manually installed. That would take the headache and complexity away for beginners for sure 👍🏻
@thesimracingshaolinstudent , I won't lie, as a new guy to VR I was hoping it would be abit more simple but it seems like for each game I need to do 30 steps to get in to vr with so many other things to download. Looking forward to the day you can just purchase a game, click VR and it just work. I do appreciate you putting this content out as without it I probley would have sent my VR headset back and just stuck with 2d gaming.

Sorry, but this guide is flawed. I recommend to find other videos. I got a bunch of things that weren't working, similar to other comments here. This is definitely not the ULTIMATE guide.

One of these was at 11:52, you asked us to check Sol applications, you also used Sol Planner for the weather configurations towards the end. But you'd have to INSTALL THEM FIRST for them to be there which wasn't included in this video. You installed Pure instead. Very misleading. That's why you have comments here that they can't find/use Sol.

BUT what NO ONE is saying is this: if you paid to get rain, you're stuck to that version of CSP... unless you keep paying to have rain Every. Single. Time

I don’t see sol fig on my Python apps screen, I’ve enabled the 2 on top but only have chat & g meter for activated apps

Have you tried installing CSP manually? So copy it's contents into your Assetto Corsa root folder? Some people have been having issues lately.

The free version of CSP doesn’t provide rain. If you want rain you have to purchase CSP. 👍🏻
how do you find the root folder? i clicked everything you did but it does not take me to a root folder.

Hey, these steps apply to the game whether on monitor or in VR. Also, Pure replaces Sol. Sol is obsolete now. Hope that helps 👍🏻

@@thesimracingshaolinstudent fixed the the revs. It thought the clutch was being pressed. But yes still blurred tracks when rains on

I'm assuming you're using VR? If so, which headset is it and what option is set in the Video settings in Content Manager?

Yes the filter I recommend works very well in VR. For me it looks to be the best ppfilter I’ve tried and I’ve tried lots of them. 👍🏻
