  • Finally, the long awaited review has finally come. Well, at least for me. Replaying this game was a treat. Though it still has its issues.

Thanks for the review, there are hardly à handfull of People who made à review of this game.
Well done putting the game in its context.
Wasn't fan of the sound track either and same opinion with you on the random encounters

I also think the low budget is really showing and does the bare minimum so it is not the best game to play but at least they didn't butcher the chara design. In generation 2 they didn't do a good job redesigning and I couldn't focus on the game because of it.
    Thanks for your review

Yeah, I really don't like how Nei looked in that game. I'm kinda glad that they stopped there. It would've killed me if they messed up part 4.

@@Nokout21 indeed it would have killed me to.
Other things that annoyed me is the lack of personnality of it.
The main character Rolf/Yusis has flat hair almost like any PNJ you'd see in the back ground of à random anime.
He falls flat. Back in the 80's he had the image of à stoic cool hero and anyway we would dream imagine his personnality yet he was put in a badass cyberpunk world.
Nei who is supposed to be a demi monster, feline woman raised by à stoic hunter becomes nothing more than a "look at me sempai" -girl with droopy eyes and cute gothic lolita clothes...
I think they totally missed the mark.
Phantasy star is à gréât série and they could have done sequels to the solo RPG because the lore is still good enough to make something relevant today
