    You argue that you use 0.20mm rapid trigger on WASD to not revert the input accidentally too easily, but from my understanding, 0.20mm is almost the most sensitive, i.e. the least distance you can put on the rapid trigger. The slider seems a little counter intuitive since "high" refers to sensitivity and not the required travel distance. Or am I mistaken?

  • @OmarGarcia1
    @OmarGarcia1 6 місяців тому +2

    I set up automatic counter strafe when I release WASD just to see how it would feel. Does it work? Yes. Does it work as good as doing it naturally? No. The movement feels extremely unnatural and I would not recommend it at all, because it will teach you a horrible habit, but it was fun to try

    • @johncarlogamboa7331
      @johncarlogamboa7331 6 місяців тому +1

      i'm not sure if they do (but looking at this video, I believe they don't) if they support QMK you can write your own firmware where on down press it presses "a key" and when on release press (a.k.a key up) it will press "another key." For example [A] down press = "A"; [A] release key = "D."
      But hey that's a good idea for game-based keyboard software enhancements.

    • @OmarGarcia1
      @OmarGarcia1 6 місяців тому

      it does do that using dks binds. when i push and hold a....then let it go....it activates d, but again it messes up the movement for literally the rest of the game. you cant for example strafe while jumping which is very important to make certain jumps. Overall its cool but itll make you worse in the long run. @@johncarlogamboa7331

    I am so disappointed with this key board, and before you guys get pissed, I have had five wooing one key boards in the past.
    Problems
    #1 placement of the cable, why only on the left, my computer on my right, and most likely, about 85% of most people computer on the same side, why not in the middle or on the right side, or even give the buyer a choice right or left side?
    #2 Whats with no legs? This has to be the most uncomfortable key board I have ever had in my 32 years of gaming or using a computer.
    #3 What no switch puller I had to order one for $15? The only thing of use to me would be the switch puller; the other stuff is no use what so ever.
    #4 What happened to the easy way of pulling switches? You have to take the whole key board apart to safely pull switches. (This is according to your own videos.) I had ordered 12 L45 Lekker switches, hoping to easily switch them out, and if I liked the L45 switch out all the L60 out, I didn't feel like spending an hour taking the whole key board apart just to change out the switches.
    #5 Trying to contact wooting from your web site seems impossible. I hit the email link, and Gmail comes up. Some people like me do not want a Gmail account or anything to do with Google. Unless I am doing something wrong.
    #6 Now I will have to sell the Wooting 60HE on eBay at a loss.
    The only thing I really like are the what I call soft key strokes.

      I know you have a problem comprehending, reading, or both, but what part of this did you not understand?
      "I have had five wooing one key boards in the past"
      Not my first rodeo with wooting or buying computer parts. I was building and buying computer parts when the best part of you ran down your mom's legs.
      Now I believe when you make something new (Wooting 60HE), you make it better, not harder, hence pulling switches. Now let's go back to your comprehension, reading, or both problems.

      This must have gone over your head. I wonder what that means. Mir-lc5cs How would I have known this, Mir-lc5cs? Do you think I just pulled it out of my @$$.
      Now, from all the videos I watched before buying, only four people told us what came with the Wooting 60HE: straps, screws, switches, and a puller. I'm sure I missed something.
      Now when someone says puller in my mind, that means key cap/switch puller, just like the 5 wooting ones I got had a combination key cap/stitch puller in the box.
      Now, most of my research was focused on using the Wootility and how others liked the Wooting 60HE and game play. Not one of them mentioned anything about the Wooting 60HE not having legs.

      So the only thing here i think could be a problem and a reason to return/sell is #2. An uncomfortable keybaord is not a good thing. If you do not want to spend the money on a wrist rest or after market case with adjustable height, which you shouldn't have to do, then returning/selling is a valid option.
      But all the other issues seem to be just nit picking and do not effect the functionality or the operation of the keyboard.
      Cable placment seems perfect to me. My pc is on my right, and while gaming my left arm is on the wooting, and so my wooting is at a slight angle when gaming. Left side of the keyboard is further from me while the right side is angled toward me. That makes it very comfortable for me to use. And the cable on the left side means its completely out the way of the mouse mat and closest to the end of the desk. This way has the least amount of cable over your desk. This seems very deliberate to me and makes me think they planned it very well, optimizing for people who are right handed and therefore use the keybaord with their left hand.
      Removing switches is a pain, i think i have damaged 1 switch so far from doing it. But removing switches is somthing you only need to do once or very few times in general. I hand lubed all my switches when i got the keyboard and have not needed to pull the switches out again. So this once in a while issue is not a reason for me to give up on the keyboard. Infact the keyboard itself, the functionality, the adjustability and all the cool features makes this the best keyboard on the market for gaming hands down.
      Everyone can have their opinion and make their own decision on returning or selling a product or not, but the issues you have raised are nit picky and very personalised to your own preferences but do not have anything to do with the functionality of the keybaord itself. Except the point about it being uncomfortable for you which i already conceded earlier.
      Most people care about the tech inside the keyboard and how well that works and will not return the keyboard because the usb port is too far to the left or the switches are stiffer to remove then one would like.

    Honestly, I stopped using my magnetic switch keyboard. For starters I hate linear key switches, I don't use rapid trigger either (too many errors), and for Call of Duty you have to have F-keys it's that simple. However, I certainly would not set the S key to anything lower than 1.5 mm. I have lost count. How many times I'm running and accidentally put some weight on the S key and throw the brakes on and stop in my tracks as Cannon fodder.
    Other keys that I would occasionally fat finger I make it a requirement for Shift + (key) to activate; e.g. Shift + TAB, etc.

      .. I play Call of Duty that's it, my keyboard has a negligible if any impact on my ability to play. The only advantage that I found with individual programmable keys is fat. Finger errors like accidentally tapping on the TAB key. Subsequently I've remapped within the game so I've corrected the problem without the need of a magnetic keyboard. Before you draw and your conclusions, for my age I'm one of the top players probably in the world. I've unlocked Interstellar for at least a couple weeks and I've had countless 100 plus kill games.
