Personally I find some nights rather difficult to fall asleep. Struggling on the road to becoming a proper adult who handles themselves correctly and these are a great comfort and apart of my nightly routine for now, thank you kindly for your great work!
Stumbled across the first part yesterday morning, it was my first actual audio book i actively wanted to listen to, hooked me so much that I'm already half way trough the second one really well done i love it :)
@@Rohlaren You should try and listen to the Sword of Truth saga narrated by Nick Sullivan (in my opinion the best narrator) once you've finished the hidden wizard. It is worth it.

Thanks so much for the kind words. The last two books are available via your favourite audiobook retailer (or you can pick up the whole series for only 1 credit).
The Hidden Wizard Series Book 0: The Wandering Blacksmith Book 1: Pool of Knowledge Book 2: Vault of Silence Book 3: Spark of Truth Book 4: Soul of Light
The wandering blacksmith is the prequel, but not required reading for the series. It fills in the backstory of Vincent (but is not available in audio unfortunately).

I’m loving the books and narrator but wondering why people are posting about “how “ the author should have written it. I don’t see anywhere that he asks for constructive criticism? If someone doesn’t like the books then move on
Thank you, and I'm glad you're loving the books. If someone is invested enough in the books to come here and provide detailed feedback /analysis then that's great. It doesn't diminish the story in any way. And luckily the overwhelming majority of comments are very positive :)
I'm not gonna lie, the narrator was cool at first, but I soon noticed why I wasn't digging it. Part of it is that the narrator never changes his voice, not even between dialogue and his own narration of the storyline, I'm kinda spoiled tho and do quite enjoy inflection changes between characters too. Just changing the narrator would have a drastic effect imo, I'd be open to taking the project on potentially, have been considering getting into this area but figured the pay might not be good enough. The other problem, is that nearly every dialogue is ended in "______ said". This highly repetitive element, combined with the unvaried narrating style, do your books an injustice imo. Just to be clear, the narrator has a good voice and does a good job reading, that's actually what got me on board in the beginning. But to be totally transparent, I started this audiobook in the middle of another series, and I keep thinking of returning to that one again because I'm almost having a hard time here. It's def partly because the other series was interesting, but also partly because of the mixture of the two issues stated above. Plus it's all just after going thru the entire Wheel of Time series, which is arguably a very tough act to follow LOL....yes, if you're interested, I could edit and audiobook it again for you. I'm about to start a goat business so I'm plenty busy if not, but damn, I really do feel that your editor failed you, and that your narrator did too. It's sad because your book series prob has way more potential than this format is giving it credit for! A more spirited narration would earn way more views here on YT, and potentially help sell many more copies/titles of the prequel on other platforms as well
No matter what tho, this version is doing damage to the experience that people are having with your books. Also fyi, this is certainly meant to be constructive, and is delivered with love and respect for you and your works. If I'm right, I'm seeing shades of other authors that I'm familiar with in your work too, I think I could guess some of your influences! Well done
@@GoatShepherd Oh and, I think you should look up what 'figure of speech' actually means. Your comment and replies are proof you do not know. I let it slide the first time, because I assumed you meant to say syntax, but couldn't think of the correct terminology.

@In Search of the Miraculous Go for it pal, not gonna stop you. But I'm still poor and can't afford it, sorry. But great story author, I just wish I could afford the following books.
In part one they already defeated `shades´, so using them as a major threat in part two is not fully convincing. 🤔 Still, among the best audiobooks I listened to since `House of Serpents´ at the renewed Black Rat Inn, here on YT!
Naration and contiuity of the stories is great, love to travel along with the characters, well done! Reminds me of the first movie using the same structure combining fantasy and reality of a young boy. Any guesses as to what the movie was. It has always been a favorite of mine. The Hobbit got me hooked when I was young as well. Keep writing!
Thank you! I was really going for that sense of adventure and discovery. I loved The Hobbit too and I'm glad I wrote something that reminded you of it.
Hey there, fair question! I've just enabled the ads as a way to keep these free to listen to online. I appreciate that they're probably a bit annoying and break the immersion, but if the ads work well enough I can put more stuff up on youtube. I will be monitoring how they go and open to feedback from people on the best ways to balance things between generating some income and also keeping a nice listening experience for people.
Thanks for letting me know that you love the book! The series is finished you can listen to the next two books on your preferred audiobook retailer (Audible, Google Play, Apple, Kobo, Scribd etc)
Oh my gosh how many times can a reader say “said” this person said, that person said, she said the man said, the guard said😵💫 I don’t think I’ve heard it more in any other book reading that I’ve listened to. This would be so much better if better read🙁
The narrator failed in his own ways, but this is due to the failings of the editor. It's an obvious mistake, maybe wouldn't ruin it as much if you were reading it yourself, but yes, listening to this audiobook version is somewhat of a drag. I've almost jumped ship multiple times, and this is only book two so far..

other than "(insert name) said".... so many times really good story.
Right!?!
Even when characters are not having a conversation, there will still be a: he said to himself.
It really gets tedious.
"Definitely on their radar." Interesting for them to have this construct.
Hey nice pickup - how'd that slip through? I'll have to invent something to make that work in-world haha.
I've heard this three times now: "leave this one with me." It's a figure of speech, "leave this one TO me" is how it is said
Depends on the subject. Both are correct, but 'with' is much more often applicable.
@@sandoumir4348 I disagree, one is a figure of speech, and one is the description of an action
