  • #Israel / #Palestine Conflict #Explained: by Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach ztl - The Truth About The #HolyLand
The fighting in Israel and the Gaza Strip entered its second week.
Israeli warplanes bombarded Gaza City on Monday morning as Hamas continues lobbing rockets on southern cities in Israel. Roughly 200 Palestinians have died, and officials say nearly half of them are women and children. Israel has reported at least 10 dead.
Of course, many more people have suffered in the long history of this conflict. Since Hamas took control of the Gaza Strip in 2007, Israel and Egypt have maintained a blockade on the area.
Khaled Elgindy, director of Israeli-Palestinian Affairs at the Middle East Institute, answers some fundamental questions that get to the root of what’s happening in Gaza.
Questions About The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict, Answered By Foreign Policy Expert Khaled Elgindy
How did it come to be that millions of Palestinians are living in the Gaza Strip?
“The Gaza Strip, of course, is an entirely artificial creation that emerged in 1948 when roughly three-fourths of Palestine's Arab population was displaced, in some cases expelled, during the course of Israel's creation. And most of the refugees, they were sort of scattered across the region in neighboring countries like Jordan, Syria and Lebanon. Some went to the West Bank, which came under Jordanian rule after 1948. And a very large number went to the Gaza Strip, which is this tiny little coastal strip between Egypt and what is now Israel. Today, the population of Gaza, about 70% of Gaza's population are refugees.”
Can Palestinian refugees leave the Gaza Strip?

Shlomo, we need you more than ever, since Oct. 7th, 2023 (Today is June, 16th, 2024)!!! I have very seldomly heard you speak with so much fervor, at such a loud voice, with passion pure . His compassion was endless, we know, his humour, his love for everybody and every creature, his chochmah, his intelligence, and so much more.. But here, he is next to crying out of despair. He is also talking about Hamas and PLO, and Lebanon. I am not sure, in which year. This video is still relevant.

"In all the wars that the Arabs forced upon the Jews since 1948, and indeed in all the terror and pogroms of the Arab nationalists since 1919, the aim was clear: no Jewish State at all. This proposition, I put it, is unacceptable for the Jews of Israel. Thus, without a change of Arab heart, which is nowhere to be seen, there will be no peace." - Rabbi Meir Kahane, Our Challenge 1974

    Rashi on Genesis א׳:א׳
"Rabbi Yitzchak said that he should not have begun the Torah except from," Exodus 12:2 "This month shall be unto you the beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year to you" (to establish the lunar calendar), which is the first mitzvah in which Israel was commanded, and what is the meaning of the opening with, "In the beginning" Genesis 1:1 ? “He has declared to His people the power of His works, in giving them the heritage of the nations” (Psalm 111:6), that if the nations of the world say to Israel that you have gone astray, that you have conquered the lands of seven nations, then They tell them that all the earth is God's, He created it and gave it to those who were righteous in His eyes, He gave it to them at His will , and by His will it was taken from them and given to us"

"The claim that “it’s Israel’s fault” that Hamas invaded Israeli territory is as false as the UNHRC 2014 claim by Navi Pillay that “Israel committed a war crime because it didn’t provide Iron Dome systems to Hamas for defense” or the 2016 claim that “When Palestinian men beat their wives, it's Israel's fault” by Dubravka Simonovic, UN Special Rapporteur on violence against women.
Why anyone could believe such stupid claims is the product of Jew-hatred."

Arafat was born in Egypt. Netanyahu was born in Palestine which is with the British named this area. This poor ragtag group were thrown out of Jordan were thrown out of Syria and came here. I don’t believe you’re Jewish because no doubt you could ever not have a connection to our land. Phony name. Don’t bother responding because I’ve wasted enough time with someone like you. Open before I leave, please tell me something about their history, their contributions to the world, their monetary unit, their leaders before Arafat and please go back 3000 years or more with that information. Also explain why they pray facing back out with her asses facing the Temple Mount. OK I’m done with the likes of you. You can respond all you want you won’t hear back from me because you were just very sad person if you’re Jewish and if you’re not which I think you’re not, you’re just a major loser and anti-Semite

In the Quran, the term Al-Ard Al-Muqaddasah (Arabic: الأرض المقدسة, English: "Holy Land") is used in a passage about Musa (Moses) proclaiming to the Children of Israel: "O my people! Enter the Holy Land which Allah has destined for you ˹to enter˺. And do not turn back or else you will become losers."
