  • Arguably America's most beloved designer of Country French interiors, Charles Faudree has been working his magic on homes domestically and internationally for more than thirty-five years. His fourth book, Charles Faudree Interiors, continues to reveal his versatility in classic and international styles, and showcases his newest signature country French interior-his own new cabin nestled in the Oklahoma countryside-along with a tropical island retreat, a chic metropolitan high-rise, and homes done up in Georgian, contemporary and ranch high style.
Here, in his personal, engaging manner, Faudree walks us through the challenges and successes of his newest designs that prove French Country can keep its traditional spirit and still be modern, surprising and edgy.
Charles Faudree was named one of America's top 100 designers in 2002. He is often featured in design magazines, including Traditional Home, Southern Living and House Beautiful. His previous books, Charles Faudree's French Country Signature, Charles Faudree's Country French Living, and Florals and Interiors have been widely lauded. While designing homes and creating books, Charles maintains a retail shop in Tulsa, and has launched a fabric line, The Charles Faudree Collection, for Vervain. He lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Jenifer Jordan is a Texas-based photographer whose work has been featured in Traditional Home, Renovation Style, House Beautiful, Southern Accents and Veranda, as well as in two of Faudree's previous books, Charles Faudree's French Country Signature and Charles Faudree's Country French Living.

I have all of Charles Faudree's books. I often look through them for design direction or inspiration; but I also just enjoy looking at the most beautiful rooms. He was a true master of color, pattern, and coziness. I think of him whenever the term Country French comes up. I'll always keep his books in my design library. Thank you for highlighting his genius!

Charles is my favorite!! I’m a Francophile so his style hit home with me. I collect Napoleon Bee Limoge boxes and have quite a large collection. When he passed away it hit hard, I’ve missed him. His philosophy was more is more as is mine, you can never get enough.

Kudos to you and your channel! I love watching videos that have anything to do with interior design but I was getting tired of the same white furniture, farmhouse, Rae Dunn collector decor channels. Not there's anything thing wrong with that. Love Rae Dunn. But I would say my style is "Traditional whimsy" so your channel is a breath of fresh air. I just found you a couple of weeks ago and I am soaking up every video you post. I was raised in a home where my parents were practical and they just had things that were necessary, so I couldn't wait to have my own home to decorate. I love the line in this video that talks about learning through exposure. That describes my adventures in decorating. I was tickled pink after I moved into my own home and had guests over, and after giving them a tour of my home, one of them said, "Nancy! You're snooty!!" translation, "you have a fine home". That put a big smile on my face and let me know I was doing something right. Thank you for your videos and giving girls like me exposure to the finer things in life. They are all so well done. I am making up for lost time watching your videos and making a list of books that you've shown to add to my library. I can't wait to watch all of your videos and look forward to what comes next!

I always watch reviews 2 or 3 times, and I turn sound low since the speed change distorts sound. I focus on what you show, and then I listen to you again. I learn so much from watching your reviews. I love any designer who uses chinoiserie. William W. Stubbs uses dark interiors to juxtapose chinoiserie. Faudree does French well and incorporates chinoiserie. Now Mackenzie-Childs has a book you might like to review. They have Royal Court and chinoiserie. I used to have a set of 20 Churchill Blue Willow. I inherited a lot of China, so I gave away my Blue Willow. I have chinoiserie my family gave me for surfaces that I kept. ❤
