This is excellent and informative documentary on regional and international rivalries in countries along the Red Sea. As someone who closely follow international politics (especially Africa and Middle East), I should point out that beside the presence of the French, American, Japanese, Chinese military bases in Djibouti, the UAE has base in Eritrea and to counter this the Turkey has it own military base in Sudan (Suakin island) as well as their presence in Somalia . Recently Egypt has shown strong interest in having it's own naval base on the Eritrean Island of Nora, to counter Ethiopia's naval ambitions on the Red Sea. But this remains to be seen if Eritrea will agree to it, given rising tension between Egypt and Ethiopia over the Nile Dam which Ethiopia is currently building.
REPUBLIC OF SOMALILAND LAND OF DEMOCRACY AND STABILITY IN THE HORN OF AFRICA. MOU MEANS TO US THE FIRST AFRICAN COUNTRY THAT CONNECTS WORLD TO AFRICA AND THE RECOGNITION MEANS BEYOND ETHIOPIAN BORDER AND THAT IS WIN WIN SITUATION.
Bab--al--mandab is Somaliland Republic's water front and soon we are going to build Saila Port including militry base there plus we already built one of the biggest Port in Africa " Berbera Port " invested by the UAE who are our number one bussiness partners including Ethiopia so the race is on lets see who wiins this new geopolitical war in the Red Sea
