I loved this longer version!! It worked well to have the theme of the show because it gave you more to talk about and encourage us to talk about. So now you must combine collages with your books and games!!!
I definitely think more themed pages are coming in the future!
One thing I like about these art project things is you DON'T have to be perfectionist about what you're doing and your placement. It's one of the areas you can let go and have fun. I really enjoyed the longer version though. You could see your brain work a bit more. I am also the type of person who goes, "you said stop doing this? Okay, well watch me do a million more times, and maybe I'll stop."

Firstly, I love these videos. Secondly, I have 2 stories. One happened to be personally and the other happened to my mom but in the same house. The same house my parents still live in.
When my youngest brother was around 5, he would not sit still. We have a pool table room upstairs in the house and he would not stop running around the table while we played. So we told him to go down stairs so he wouldn't get hurt. He stomps down the stairs and we keep playing. About 10 minutes later we hear him stomp back up the stairs but he doesn't open the door. Thinking that I'll kinda scare him I yank the door open to see NO ONE outside the door. We panicked and got out of that room so fast. It took a lot of convincing to get me back into that room again.
Same room but MUCH earlier. My mom was pregnant with my youngest brother and sitting in the room below the pool table room. She heard foot steps in that room so she calls my dad to ask which kid stayed home from school. He said none of them. She ran out of that house and stayed with my uncle till my dad got home. No sign of any forced entry.
The house has always given the creeps and still does now.

And I watch on TikTok all the time, love seeing more of the process ❤

Love the longer versions! I would recommend getting a different glue. lol it will make your life a little easier if you don’t use such wet glue. But you will still have sticky fingers!
Yeah, I am going to go for a less wet glue next time because this one is just too much! haha
It's fun watching you do these. The more the better. I do believe in ghosts. We lived in house that was quiet at first until the back patio was disturbed. It was just a slab of concrete not attached to the house, so probably something buried beneath it. I was home alone one day and heard someone walking through the crawl space. You can't walk through that crawlspace but they were. We had a friend staying over and they were on the couch in the living room that was open to the kitchen. He heard something in the kitchen and saw someone standing in front of the fridge and thought it was my husband, was not. And the cat started looking at the door to the garage (off the kitchen) and making noises at it a lot. We tried the Ouija board one day and the planchette just went round about on it's own. Our friend was so spooked he took the board when he left and disposed of it on his way home.

Shimelle, a *professional scrapbooker* I follow recommended checking out your longer videos (I already watch the short ones on IG but long and talky is my jam). Keep having fun with your creations :) My nana used to make scrapbooks out of magazines and photos and drawings, and they gave her a lot of enjoyment. I enjoy keeping a little notebook of stickers and random bits of ephemera I can’t stand to throw out and it’s fun to just stick things down and see what comes together over time.
I absolutely love your scrapbooking artwork and of course it never has to be perfect because it is your creation. I have a ghost story that happened to me in 1994 and it was a little bit after the Northridge Earthquake. I live in Southern California and I am about 2 hours north of Los Angeles, but the earthquake felt pretty major over here as well. I don't know that this is relevant, but I just thought I'd add it anyways. A few days or weeks after that, I was laying in my room. ( I had a night light in the corner so that I could see because during the earthquake I ran out of my room to get my mom and I ran into the wall). So as I was laying in bed trying to relax so I could fall asleep and I saw something in the corner go across my wall that was a large shadow. I thought maybe it was a moth flying behind the light until maybe 30 seconds later I heard a a loud bang at the corner of my bed and at that point realized it was probably not a moth or a bug. I jammed out of my room so quick
Loved seeing the longer video!!! 😂 And now you know how people who do crafty things like this end up with boxes and boxes of random pieces and pages. "I'll just rip this out and save it", "I'll just keep this little piece for later". And so it begins. I can't wait to watch the next one.

I 100% believe in haunting. I've had a few experiences in the old theatre where my husband worked. One night I was a man walking by the window of the projection booth, I saw him as plain as day...but there was no one in the room when I went in it! Other time I felt someone push me from behind while I was at the concession stand, when I turned around there was no one there!
I love the longer video! Please do more! The pleasure you seem to get from doing these junk journals makes me smile and feel happy...keep spreading the joy!
Your glue stick can make stuff repositionable. Put some glue on the item (like a dab in each corner), snd let the glue dry until tacky. (There's instructions on the glue stick) Then you can put the item where you think you want it. You can tuck stuff under it. When everything is where you want it, go in and add more glue and stick everything down before the glue dries.
This is the first one I've seen. I love it and the theme. I'm a believer in the paranormal. I have had many experiences.
My ghost story: My cousin and I were playing with an Ouiji board. We paused to think of a question, taking our hands off the planchette. As we were thinking the planchette moved across the board. Neither of us has touched a spirit board since.
And there are no hard and fast rules in scrapbooking/art. 💕💕
I used to watch a show on Discovery years ago called A Haunting. It was more documentary-style with reenactments, but it was fun and occasionally more than a little spooky. Fun to watch with popcorn and a cuddly pet.
This longer version is great! This junk Journaling content has become my favorite.

Boogara for sure. I don't know how exactly yet, but there's definitely spirits around. Especially if spirit guides count, because I've met mine. Also love your journaling so much!

It was chaotic and exactly what I thought it would be!! I love it!!! I love it more than the short video versions. Also that doll was really creepy and I loved the red on both sides
“Real” artists make art the exact way you are! If I’m not covered in paint, glue, and sporting a new bruise or abrasion then it just hasn’t been a productive day in art making. The bruises and abrasions are optional for others. I’m just clumsy and have zero spatial awareness so I end up hitting myself in the face with stuff all of the time……..
I love your pages! And this one is no exception! Tho spooky baby doll does give me the creepies a bit. But it’s ok, that’s why the ghost people are there. I also love that someone telling you not to use Washi tape makes you want to do it more! You do you, people shouldn’t be criticizing what gives you life 😂.
I’m on the fence on ghosts. I don’t believe that anything is impossible. Many things are improbable but never impossible. Are there ghosts? Maybe. I do like to watch ghost hunting shows too. They are funny and I do love a bit of suspension of disbelief.
I have never been personally visited and I cannot figure out if I am grateful or disappointed. 😅

Dang it Jaysen! Why do you have to be such a bad influence? You make it look so fun and easy that I decided to give it a try. My attempt is awful, but I've never laughed so hard or had so much fun. So glad I don't know you in real life. We'd get in way too much trouble together. Seriously, you are amazing and I loved the longer version. It was fun to follow along.
Funnily enough, my irl friends always say they can't go shopping because I'm a total enabler! I hope you keep at it! It's more about the fun of doing than the finished product for sure!

I hope you release all of these on UA-cam. I love watching the scrapbooking videos on Instagram, but this was so much better!
Also, don't worry, us "real" artists get glue and paint and ink and everything else all over our hands, too. I just leaned into it last time I was doing paper mache, and I'd just lay dry newspaper over wet sections, then dip my entire hand into the glue mixture, and rub my hands over the dry newspaper to get it all wet and glue-y so it would stick.
And I swear, I can't paint, EVER, without winding up with a significant amount of paint on my hands. I don't even know how it happens, it just does!
Yay! Glad to know that these translate well to UA-cam for people that watched the shorter version. Sad to hear that the glue problem never goes away though lol.

I'm like you, I logically don't believe, but I also had an experience. I was taking a nap and my door started rattling, one, two, three times. When I opened my eyes, there was a torso with a very distinct uniform jacket. I looked it up and it was the uniform of a 1st Virginia cavalry civil war uniform and my parents house was where a bunch of civil war battles were. So yeah that was scary...

I have a story. Me, my brother, and my sister were climbing a tree in our yard. They had climbed ahead of me, and I was below. I was kinda half sitting on a branch with no branches directly underneath and I pushed myself up to reach a branch above me. The branch I had grabbed broke and I fell backwards off the branch I was sitting on. I started to scream, but then all of a sudden I stopped falling. I couldn't feel anything, I couldn't see anything. Even my brother asked "what stopped you??!" I said "I don't know!!" and reached out either for my brother's hand or another branch and when I pulled myself up, a branch was underneath me, when there hadn't been a branch there before. My sister was too high to really see what was going on, but my brother and I just looked at each other, spooked. It was the craziest thing

That was actually the original inspiration! I kept buying these little art pieces at conventions and then just putting them away. This way, they get some new life in my journal!
My house is haunting. My parents and I have seen someone walking. Things get moved or go missing.
One day I left a little fan on and the motor stop working and a toy you have to press to make it sing started going off. Only my parents where home. When they went to my room the toy was sitting above the fan. This toy also stop working a few weeks before this event and never worked after either. The ghost saved the house from burning.
So yes I believe in the after life

I was totally on vibe with your creepy house wallpaper too-well done. 💖 Also for next time maybe try having a package of wetwipes next to you for when the fingers get a little too sticky. 🫣 Also in art we always painted Elmer’s white glue (as it dries clear) over the finished product in order to flatten all remaining edges-something to consider if you have lots of curly edges.

Super duper fun!!! Super. Duper. Which, I just realized, is a totally weird expression. First...when you stare at them long enough, those words just plain look weird. And second, the term implies that, since something can be super duper, it must be possible to be regular duper. But I've never heard of anything being just duper. "That page with the cats as railroad magnates was duper, dude, but this ghosts page was super duper!" I think I'm going to make it a thing. Duper is finally going to come into its own. I'm a post-middle-aged office worker, so I'm sure I have the street cred to pull it off.

And yes, I do have a similar experience to you… I was around 19 when my biological mom died. I hadn’t lived with her at that point for about six years… And we only got in contact again a couple of weeks before she died…
Now, when I go to sleep, I have to make 100% sure that my bedroom door is closed. I cannot sleep with an open door. One night, shortly after she passed, I woke up in the middle of the night, and my door was cracked open… And I’m still half asleep and groggy, and as I confusedly look at the door, I could have sworn I saw my mom look at me through the crack… to me, it felt like she was checking up on me one more time… So I said “I’m okay” a couple of times… And then she left, and I fell back asleep… And the next morning when I woke up, the door was still cracked open, when I am 100% sure I closed it.
people tell me I was just dreaming… But it felt absolutely real… So I really don’t know what I believe, but I always tell people don’t fuck with ghost 😂
