Those heated mats are great. My Dad, years ago, made a dog house for our pet cat. Poor thing lost control of bladder and we couldn’t let her in the house. Yes, we had medication for her which she got. So…Daddy built the dog house, placed at the back door where everyone come in and out, and that cat loved her house! We could watch her for safety through the window of the door. When the cat wanted to come in, Taffy the cat would knock on our door! So sweet. We’d let her in, she’d eat & get love, then want right back out. Taffy’s house was warm all winter & she could come inside anytime she wanted. Save those mats if something doesn’t work. You never know if you can save a kitty or dog that’s feral. Taffy lived to an old age…..one of our many beloved pet kitty’s……sorry going off topic, but I wanted people to know their are other ways to use those mats if growing doesn’t work out. ♥️
That's amazing... Your a great person to do that .. we love our animals... Kitty cats , dogs , pigs .. I wish we could have more lol .. and I don't ever mind if your off topic .. You're absolutely right about these mat. Thank you so much for sharing this. I will definitely keep it in hand ... I do appreciate stories and stuff like this... It's very helpful... Thanks you so much 🙏🏾🙏🏾 🌱
Nice. Thanks for sharing. That is a nice set up. We kept our seedlings on heat mat too long the first time we use it starting seeds. Figured it out and next time seeds were kept on mat until germinated. I'll check with hubby if 2nd leaves developed before removing off mat. Much better results.
Wow! If i had seen this video last winter i would have gotten a system like that. I have all the components, just purchased at different times. I might still invest in the all in one too, just because, lol.
I am currently germinating some pepper seeds in one of these starter sets. I've never used the LED lights before and I"m anxious to see if the light will keep my seedlings from getting too leggy. I keep my trays in a garden window that gets plenty on sun and I'm wondering how many hours I should keep the lights on once the seeds sprout. I'm assuming I should turn on the lights at night since during the day they get sun light. Any suggestions? Thank you.
So it needs about 10-16 hours of sunlight , the window should be good , turn the trays around every 2 days.. . I do 8-10 hours of lights , I feel too much lights dry out the soil faster too, so make sure you keep the soil moist..
