Tekken 1 [PS1] - play as Heihachi

- Опубліковано 5 лют 2025
- This is a play-through of Arcade Mode using Heihachi Mishima in the PS1 version of Tekken 1. Read on below for more information...
Heihachi is the final boss in the game. He is an unlockable playable character in it.
===== HOW TO UNLOCK HEIHACHI =====
Beat Arcade Mode without using any Continues. You can do this with any character and on any difficulty setting.
===== ABOUT HEIHACHI =====
Ever since his debut in Tekken 1, Heihachi has gone from strength to strength in the series, being one of only four characters in the franchise to appear in all 7 games up to this point (at this time of writing). He is one of the originals and definitely a staple of the series.
===== GAMEPLAY =====
He is basically a more powerful version of Kazuya with better versions of his moves, along with Paul's hammer and Phoenix Smasher. In the PS1 version of the game he is more "individual", with extra unique moves of his own (such as his throws, extra hell sweeps, a possible anti-clockwise run at the end of his dash backs, a jumping double kick, etc.); whereas in the Arcade version he was almost an exact clone of Kazuya moves-wise.
===== ADDITIONAL INFORMATION =====
---- When playing through Arcade Mode with him, he is the only character in the game where all of his CPU opponents up to Stage 8 are of the sub-bosses.
---- He is also the only character in the game to not have Heihachi as the final boss, but instead have "Devil Kazuya" as his final boss.
---- His character select screen portrait image is completely different to the one in the Arcade version.
===== ABOUT PS1 TEKKEN 1 =====
This version of the game is virtually arcade perfect, even bettering the Arcade version in a lot of ways, such as:
1) The sub-bosses and Heihachi being made to be unlockable playable characters.
2) Extra new and unique moves for the sub-bosses.
3) FMV endings for the regular characters.
4) A new alternative costume for each of the sub-bosses.
5) Offering an excellent Arranged soundtrack.
The minor downside however is that the character portraits on the select screen are static when you select/confirm them, unlike in the Arcade where they had some animation. I imagine that when this game came out to the PS1 in 1995, players must have been overjoyed to have the opportunity to play a "better-than-the-arcade-version" game in their own home.
Damn man. Nostalgia can damn near bring you to tears sometimes lol. Life is just too fast. The stages and music just hit hard. It felt like yesterday to some extent.
Heihachi with Jack's voice will never not be bizarre to me.
Also kunimitsu with yoshimitsu voice loll
Love being able to watch this and understand each character's relationship --- if you dont know
1. Kunitmitsu is hired to kidnap Michelle's mom, but she wanted to set up a diversion for Yoshimitsu and then rob him and Heihachi. She gets caught by Michelle and they fight until Kunimitsu escapes after a Mishimi Ziabatsu raid
2. Kuma is raised by Heihachi after learning Paul fought Kazuya to a draw. When Paul finally beats Kuma, the tournament is already over and he gets 3rd
3. Wang is Heihachi's trainer and is sent to wreck Law's dojo when he learns Paul trains there. Law defeats Wang but lets him live on the premise he'll stop helping Heihachi.
4. Ganryu leads a task force meant to intercept Yoshimitsu, after losing to Yoshimitsu, he is scolded for being a corrupt Yokozuno and cant stop Yoshimitsu from stealing the prize money while Kazuya and Heihachi fight
5. Lee was adopted solely to be Kazuya's rival and a buffer between the two Mishimas. Lee doesnt get a chance to fight Kazuya as Paul and Law gets to Lee first
6. P. Jack was deemed too weak and soft to be the lead robot for Heihachi's robot army and tries to hunt down Jack to prove which bot is superior. He gets beaten but Jack spares him, but we can assume Dr. Abel found him and finished him off
7. Armor King is Heihachi's right hand man, when he learns of a young jaguar luchadore that imitates his style, he seeks him out. Armor King decides to take the young fighter under his wing rather than kill him when he learns the fighter only seeks to save a church and orphanage
8. Anna becomes the right hand woman by chance as she alerts Heihachi to Nina's mission to assassinate the M.Z. Head. She promises to stop her and they fight to a draw as they get into a big argument
Is that the entire storyline in Tekken?
@@oscarramos5681 from the henchman standpoint, there are some other details left out from the original 8
There's a way to play as Heihachi against the other characters, instead only the sub bosses in the game: select some character that's not Heihachi, lose, then continue (then select another character; the select another char continue on the options must be on, obviously), select Heigachi, and there you go! The same thing works if you wanna fight all the subbosses with other characters; for achieving that just do the same thing, but reversed...
Wow, I got to try that! Can't believe I never thought of it. Of course I never thought of me losing to the computer either...
@@triple_lei will devil still be the final boss?
@@tanamoxv2160, yep, the order of the fighters will be just like playing as Heihachi, but instead you will be using the other characters... even if you continue the order will be the same...
@@high440, this continues the same as before, cause it's different from player vs. CPU battles...
Thats the method I used to fight the sub bosses as Kazuya 😁 Lost against Kunimitsu as Heihachi and then chose to continue as Kazuya by enabling "change character at continue" in the options
Love tekken! The most devastating power bomb ever!
3:27 And the chase begins lmaoooo 6:49 rediculous lol 6:56 cool
Harada did not get credit in this game.
Fighting games today don't have beautiful music in the background anymore...they mostly focus on sound effects than music. All the previous tekken, like tekken 1,2,3 has beautiful musics, even street fighter.
Yeah. I prefer the music in the older games, namely the PS1 console Arranged soundtracks of Tekken 1 and Tekken 2.
I'll say. I can't remember a single track past Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection.
You had me until you said Tekken 3. Tekken 3 had some of the shittiest, Casio keyboard NuMetal I ever heard. That game was the beginning of the end
Your graphics are better then my Tekken 1 was.
Trying to get Devil Kazuya was a pain in the ass
Can’t wait for there to be a Tekken collection on switch coming Tomorrow after the Kazuya direct
@GoRandom 87 sadly my friend it seems we will have to wait
I had discovered the first Tekken primarily on Arcade. At the time I had fallen in love with Michelle, I loved it when we chose her from the menu and she moved her head.
Stage 1: Kunimitsu in King George Island
Stage 2: Kuma in Venezia
Stage 3: Wang in Chicago
Stage 4: Ganryu in Windermeren
Stage 5: Lee in Kyoto
Stage 6: P Jack in Angkor Wat
Stage 7: Armorking in Stadium
Stage 8: Anna in Monument Valley
Stage 9 Proto Devil Kazuya in Acropolis
The old voices are just so much better. I remember being distraught when they changed Jack and Bryan Fury's voices in the later games. Watered them down so much as characters.
HEIHAGHI
mannn this vid needs more comments lol damn i feel old watching this i miss this back in 95 its so different now with T7 but still tekken is the shit :)
Heihachi is fighting all the sub bosses aka unlockables
Okay I can't be the only one who thought Kuma looked like a turd with claws in Tekken 1 😂
My god miss game so much 😂
Hm.. heihachi actually looks good in blue. But in all honesty, out of all the characters in this game (besides Anna and armor king.) His alternate outfit is kinda lazy..
3:11 Oooouuuu
Wangs sound effects are hilarious
What emulator do you use? It looks amazing!
How do I get him Fr ?
hello good afternoon, where I download the game plus the emulator, but with sound of the stages, since the versions that are on the internet have no sound, if you have the links I would appreciate it
You gotta download from a site that has the ISOs with the cue sheet file that is the soundtrack file which contains the in game music. You then load the game from the cue file. Sorry I’m 6 months late on this.
Is it just me or have you altered your banner as of late.
Yes, unlocked some extra characters in the banner.
Why is Heihachi the only one in this game that only fights the sub-bosses?
Devil kazuya and lee one extra boss and sub boss.
@@fullfrontal7422 ?
I guess to balance the arcade
he's the strongest character, sub-bosses are meant to explain the character canon storylines, Heihachi has all the sub-bosses on the payroll, so think of it as him crawling back up the mountain and whooping his staff after they failed him
You go from this to Negean
Big oof
Why does Kunimitsu have Yoshimitsus voice?
I was thinking most of these characters are mods
They are not mods,it is impossible to mod this game.Namco just didn't has a enough money.(sorry for bad englisch)
@@Violetix5326 and they were lazy also the secret characters are pretty much clones even Lee had all of Law's moves
@@crashpal on ps1 the added the Tekken 2 moves sets to the bosses so it's better on ps1.
They did it to help promote Tekken 2
@@Krizalid99v2 ok. 👍
Why does Kunnimitsu have a male voice?
Niiiiiauuurgh
My god they did a horrible job on making kuma on here 🤢
I was just thinking that but what can you say it's the 90s on PS1 but yeah I agree he looks horrible
Looks like a big badger xD
proplayer 25 to me in his tekken 2 portrait looks more like a groundhog or at least a gopher
Lmao the aesthetic of the origins is worthy of appreciation in my books because the replayability is where it is at
Tekken aged worse than Virtua Fighter!
Ken Masters yea. But VF1 still looks great without those horrible textures they added in the sequels. I feel textures in early 3D games muddied the aesthetic. But the music in this is amazing
@@neonpop80respect you opinion but virtua fighter is worse aged the tekken 1 still bad but for the nostalgia
@@fullfrontal7422 Can't understand the grammar.
Why Kunimitsu sound like a man?💀
@Minato Namikaze dude, she was ALWAYS female since tekken 1, the concept art for this game confirms this.
@Sakura Haruno they didnt have enough money to give her a unique voice
