Simply a wizard, magician a citizen legend and one of the best Valencia s player ever. It was a shame. He left Valencia too early. He has been better than the bast majority of Barcelona and Madrid players. He will allways be a bat
Top 10 best midfielders to ever play in the prem. Maybe even Top 5. As a City fan, he’ll always be #1 on the list for me. But that comes from watching him for a decade. I can’t say I’ve seen too much of Viera, watched a lot of Lamps and Gerrard. But they were just different players. I think that’s what makes Silva a bit more unique when you compare him to those greats. It’s too hard to give a list of “midfielders” without being specific of what kind of midfield positions we’re comparing. As a true center attacking mid though, there was no better. Even Lampard has admitted. High praise from a legend like that.
Guardiola turns everybody into a tap-in merchant, silva goes from explosive midfielder to position player, i actually think silva is better than modric in attack, but he was on the bench in the rotation systems at city, so much so he became a tactical player, wasted that potential, if hed been in liverpool, hed have won the champions league atleast twice.
He was essential under Pep. 2016-19, he had to have been the most integral part of the squad even being past his prime for City. 2020 season was his last. And he played almost every match. He wouldn’t have fit Liverpool’s play style either which makes me question the validity of your statement. Klopp plays extremely high up the field, players are constantly tracking back half the length of the pitch or pressing. He wouldn’t have fit the speed on the counter attacks. Silva had a role where he linked up play like Xavi, but free floated on top of the box like Iniesta. He had all their best qualities.
@@op6362 he was essential no doubt one of top 5 in that squad, but he definitely took his turn on the bench like the other top players did, it's not even about that as much the rigid tiki taka they played most of the time, it stiffled players like debruyne too, kdb did not develop as much as he would have in a more open system, it shows clearly anytime he plays for Belgium without the support he now lacks individual flair. Klopps Liverpool is definitely the perfect system for creative attacking because of the pace, atleast it was back in 2018.
Underrated player. The real magician.
One of the greatest midfielders of all time and his consistency throughout 10 years in Premier league is second to none
