ikr i love it, i always love stuff like this, the music from better to sleep haunts me now xd but i would have like to see this version of the story, it just fits the walking dead better y'know?
i know about the development studios mate, dont worry, im just saying that it would have been cool to know what this alternate storyline was about y'know? this is not only for games tho, Zootopia (one of my fav movies) was also intended to be A LOT darker than the final product, and about taking risks, whats up with people not liking ANF i mean its not that bad, i actually enjoyed it but i guess people REAALLY wanted to play as clementine, also for season 4 IM IN LOVEEEE its such a cool plot, one we never had before in the franchise :) only kids, and the idea of bringing a few old charachters back makes it even better if you ask me :) also Clouis is da best xdd i really cant wait for ep 2 :D, at least im more exited for this than ANF
well its not my native either xd im dutch and thanks :) yeah i really liked Javier's character, he was just a big hearted nice dude i personally liked the gameplay and how we sorta took care\teamed up with clementine i do of course like the other seasons more :) no problem if you dont understand you try and that means alot to me ^,^
@Derek Segra did you kill Kenny when he was gonna kill Jade or did you chose to kill him after he killed jade? I let him kill Jade but I never killed him
@@ItsKDen. "Jane" don't worry my auto correct also bugs out but I killed Kenny when he was going to kill jane then I found out Jane lied and put AJ in car. But to be honest its impossible not to kill Kenny before you kill him in season 3 by the car crash
Episode 5 makes much more sense with the old slide. The dev’s said in the original ending of Episode 5, Clementine was supposed to be in the snowstorm, with AJ in her arms, however she would grow more fatigued and slow; hypothermia. You could either have the decision to stop and lay down with AJ, presumably killing both of you, or leave AJ on the floor and go your own way alone, desperate for the last hope of making it out alive.
I'm so fucking glad they didn't include that. I love dark shit like that, but killing off a fresh born baby and an 11 year old girl, who is the only survivor of the first two episodes... That would be way to much.
@@optimusprowse6448 Not to mention how it undos the previous season’s finale. Lee did everything in his power to make sure Clementine was safe and killing her off after he trained her to survive in a horrible world would’ve made their arcs pointless.
@@FullArcher05 This is so spot on, thank you! On a different video, where this topic was discussed, people actually wrote that they wanted this ending because it's more realistic. Which I call Bullshit!!!
@@optimusprowse6448 it is more realistic since 1.) anyone can die at anytime doesn’t matter who you are and 2.) it’s the walking dead, but I am glad they didn’t go that way for Clem and AJ
It would've been sick to have a really creepy season of TWDG. It's so needed tbh. Well, I guess that's too late. Considering its the final season next time and it'll likely be a happy season finale.
Very unlikely as season 4 will be the final season and I think they're pretty much gonna solve everything and finish Clementine's final story arc in a positive season. (Job has officially said this will be Clementine's final story arc for Telltale. So unless another company does something with her, we will never see Clementine again :( )
Banks funny enough in the first season there is a deleted scene of Lee having a nightmare about not saving either Doug or Carly showing how your choices affect him mentally
The "better to sleep one" is so fucking creepy. Seeing a black silhouette of clementine in the distance is honesty to god horrifying Especially with the scary music...
I remember how genuinely creeped out and intrigued I was when I saw the screen for Amid The Ruins, with Clem smearing blood on her face. And then how disappointed I was when that episode ended and there was no sign of any of that happening, which is a shame because Amid The Ruins was one of the better episodes of the season.
@@ilcapitano648 Poor writing and cheap character deaths (3 of them goddammit, THREE), as well as the worst case of Telltale choice syndrome makes this one of the worst episodes in Telltale history.
AnyThingWorx Archived Yeeeeeeah I often block the ending out of my mind. In terms of what actually occurs in the episode, I find it enjoyable, since the different set pieces and events are more varied and fun imo, but in terms of it being a bad case of Telltale syndrome I fully agree.
@@ilcapitano648 The episode's set pieces and Kenny/Clem character development really shined through, I agree. But everything else is too bad for me the forgive it.
The better make a new series and keep the original characters for like 5 or 6 seasons if successful, obviously killing a few throughout in like final episodes
Episode 5 was changed because before changing it, they thought that they would make Clem and AJ die so this season would be the last season of the walking dead series but they changed their minds so now we have 2 more seasons.
Seems like Season 2 was scripted to be a lot darker and more disturbing in tone, particularly by Episode 4 and Episode 5. I suppose (and I always did) that Episode 3 was originally supposed to shed more light on there being possible rape going on at Howe's, and something sneaky involving Troy (his comments and general behavior towards Clem and Sarah just rubbed me wrong, even if I'm just assuming). I really don't think Clem was involved in some kind of cult in Episode 4 (I mean, how the hell would they have been able to work something like a CULT into the story without it being completely bizarre?), but probably reflective of Clementine shifting into a "darker" mentality due to so much trauma. Maybe Episode 4 featured something that causes Clem to break down? And that title card for Ep 5 really captures the cold and quiet eerie isolation of Clem's situation. The episode was already dark and intense enough as it is, but I feel maybe Telltale could have gone further with that. Nevertheless, the final product - while flawed - still ended up good to me...better than that garbage A New Frontier.
I agree but I don't know why people find a new frontier garbage cause I like every season I mean it may not be their best but it is still a good season also I hope that they make season 4 really dark and not like a happy ending I may seem cray cray but i'd like a really dark season
Martijn Blom the voice actor for clem said that her final story will be "bittersweet but also a little painful" and the world gets a lot worse like generators have stopped workin.
A New Frontier was a huge disappointment! I’m glad they aren’t continuing with that family. I liked Javi, but no one can ever take Lee’s place. Clem being unplayable sucked. It made her feel like a different character overall. She acted like Jane, which was bad. I like Jane but Clem shouldn’t act like her. The final season looks so good, and I’ve already finished episode 1! So good! Season 1 and 2 made me cry, and well we will see if the final season can do it for me as well. I love this series and hate to see it end!
ikrrr *COMPLETLEY* same, also kenny's and jane's models in the season 3 flashbacks.......i cant even. about season 4 i dunno bout you but shipping war is going hard, Clouis, Louisintine Vs Violentine....OOF but i do love all the charachters in season 4, celm can finnaly have some good friends of the same age :) also its ending cryyy, im dying :C
I was actually quite disturbed by Clem's face in the first slide. It just didn't look like Clementine to me, her eyes were different and the way the shadows were made her face in general look quite different, but the blood dripping out was pretty goddamn badass.
Man, now I wish S2 got all this stuff. A darker theme than the original, creepier vibes just from Main MENU soundtracks alone. I truly wonder what the original plan was going into this season because this seems a helluva lot more scary than what we got.
Yeah they should’ve kept it, because it shows Clem’s P.O.V instead of Lee’s, so we can see how scary and dark it is for her without lee. I know she’s more mature because she’s like 11 or 12 but it would still been scary for her.
I dont know why, but season 2 gives me an erie feeling, its probably the darkest season. I dont know what it is, but S2 never gives me a good feeling...
Agreed. This season has always felt depressing to me. The color, art style and sense of hopelessness always got me. To think it would have been darker is nuts.
Bruh howe's always creeped me out, i think alot of things were implied to be going on there, maybe rape originally? Carver had an obsession with Sarah and it just dropped after episode 2....
Mhm. It was most definitely the darkest, and would be even darker had we gotten the cut content. Season 2 is basically about Clem losing everyone while being depended on. Dim Stuff.
I feel like they had planned for the 400 Days people to be the bad guys in season 2. Especially in episode 4 where we see silhouettes of Eddie, Vince and others. I think they might’ve played the role that Arvo and the Russians played, but with more characterization
I actually completely agree with you. It's the most logical explanation. Arvo = Eddie. If you think about it, Eddie was a drug user, Arvo had a big bag full of medicine, Jane even calls Arvo a "Junkie" which makes no sense but would if it was Eddie. Telltale have never said as much though but I've always been convinced that was the case.
InColdBlood it also just annoys me that we got semi interesting characters in 400 days and they got NO treatment in season 2 besides Bonnie, who didn’t even really do much. It would’ve also been a big “OH SHIT” moment for those who’ve played 400 Days. I feel like a lot of problems I have with Telltale games stem from their inability to really show your choices. Episode 4 could’ve been a big or small deal depending on who went to Tavia’s camp. I do realize it would’ve taken far longer to develop, but it would’ve been so worth it
Oh look its the TWDG UA-camr who makes the laziest content out of all the UA-camrs that make TWDG content, seriously your content is worse than those ROBLOX UA-camrs and me a few months ago.
@@MeM0lmaothe developers said it That was gonna be the ending choose between leaving aj and live or carrying aj but at cost of your life ik pretty dark
Just saw it, that's quite interesting. Telltale must have forgotten to change the music on the PC version because it still plays the old music. Thanks for showing me btw.
The new picture for the episode 1 slide makes Clem look innocent and I like that one better, but the original makes Clem not look cool but makes her look so . . . monstrous.
Bwerp: yeah I am now realizing that. But it doesn't make sense for Clem to be making that face though. That is what I found disturbing. It is like she is monstrous on the inside as well and that is something I wouldn't want to see happen to Clem.
I really love _Season Two_ as it is, but I think I would have loved a dark turn to the series a lot more. It might have outraged a fair few people, though, centring a story around a child's descent into irreparable trauma. Clem is traumatised enough as it is. Some of the things she's had to deal with were hard to stomach. I like dark twists but maybe they were wise to consider whether or not they were taking it too far.
@@shadowfuture1378 Dude it's a video game. You have to take into account the franchise. They started it off with a bit of a sad story in the first game, but it wasn't 'realistic' or super dark. Blindsiding your fans with something they didn't sign up for is not a great way to sequel one of your most popular games.
season 2 original plot which was scrapped due to not having a "walking dead feel" to it Episode 1: All That Remains Everything was supposed to be same, only some Minor changes were there Winston was supposed to fall to his death while fighting Clementine. One of the Scavengers named Ralph was supposed to Be originally Mike(He also played a key role to the the game which I'll get back to later on) Clem would've Kept Sam the dog for quite a while and Pete would've been able to die this episode no matter what. Episode 2: Don't look back This went through several redesigns. Kenny was intended to be Carver and then Troy (as we see him in the next time on cutscene) but it turned out to be Carver. Anyways back to the topic. Kenny would've showed up at the Cabin and burned it down and Clementine's group would run until eventually the 400 days characters would be with Kenny. Alvin would've shot Wyatt if Tavia convinced him to join. Sarita and Walter were not yet implemented. Episode 3: In Cold Blood Clem's group would've been brought to Howe's Hardware and meet Mike. I have no idea if Jane was supposed to be implemented in the episode or not Clementine would've had Christa flashbacks and she was Distrustful of Mike as he was the cause Christa went missing. Mike was supposed to lose his ear as Victor(the guy in ep1 who u decide to give water or not) was attempting to shoot Christa in but accidentally shot Mike's ear. The talkies were meant to be used by Rebecca to contact Luke. Rebecca was supposed to have AJ this episode and that was supposed to be a lot darker as she was not gonna survive the pregnancy and was going to die of blood loss immediately. Group would've escape howe's the same way with Carlos dying. Nick would've shot Becca (Shel's sister) Shel would've become a walker and Tavia would've fallen off the roof. Mike would've been shot or Spared. Either way this was his last appearance. Episode 4: Amid the Ruins It was supposed to be a darker compared to the one we have right now. The survivors from Howe's would've been Nick, Sarah, Luke AJ and Clem. Vince and Bonnie would've never appeared Eddie would've appeared in this episode but troy would've killed him. And Kenny wouldve killed Nick. Sarah would've run off to the snow. Episode 5: Better to Sleep With just Clementine, Luke and AJ left against Kenny and Troy, They would've wandered around the snow storm and get Separated. Clementine was supposed to fight Troy as he was going to Molest Clementine which in my opinion is not 100% true. But they were going to fight. Clementine would've shot Troy and made it to the rest stop. There she would find Luke with AJ and Kenny trying to Kill Luke after realising he was bit. Both of them would get into a fight and Luke would kill Kenny and Clementine would shoot Luke as he was bit and going to turn. Clementine could've made a decision to Either Leave AJ or Take him with her which in my opinion was really dark. Either way Clementine would've set off alone. There's a lot of things missed out but this is honestly a great plot in my opinion, I would've loved to play this with Kenny being Carver and Mike being a main character it looks so interesting!!
This kinda reminds me of the mystery behind the Luigi's Mansion beta. There's so much strange stuff here that could have altered the game incredibly. Liked. Side Note: In Episode 3's beta slide, it looks like there's a shadow of a person standing above Clem and Rebecca.
I found out what was supposed to happen in these episodes if they stuck with the original "dark" theme. (NOTICE: I'm not going to list all of the choices. I believe this can be found deep in the internet, where I found it.) (WARNING: Episode 3 and 4 are probably the scariest fucking episodes according to the info. My weave was snatched bish. Not for the faint of heart K? Lmao.) Episode 1: All That Remains This episode is already a hint towards the future. It begins like this. -The beginning is the same. -Originally, there was a scene of Christa's abortion. -The guys trying to kill Clem scene is the "same". -Originally, though, one of the men were going to stab Clementine. There were multiple ways to get out of this, however. -Originally, Clementine would run away from the men. Falling into the river was a death scene. -There was a choice where Clementine would push one of the guys, making him fall into the river killing himself. -After running away, Christa would be found dead (or alive depending on choice.) I will return. I forgot the changes lmao.
SargeantMario101 In the deep web. It was in the files before, and was found by a couple of people. However, the website with the files and info has since been removed. I can't find it anymore. Maybe I'm just bad at researching lmao. But at least these videos still exist.
Chai Yuèqiú i also have more originally you were going to fight off winston alot longer he would tackle clem through the water and clem would get shot by him, sam would give clem her hat back and was going to live through episode 3 until mike kills him for walker food, carlos would treat her shoulder, pete would amputate his leg but would turn. in episode two clem would go with alvin to catch fish theres a beta screenshot with clem holding two fish with a funny look on her face with an unused audio file, "that's a lot of fish." Kenny would burn down lukes cabin taking on the role of carver, troy was going to ask clem very creepy pedophilia questions when she opened the door, episode 3 would probably play out the same except tavia would fall off the roof, during the escape nick would kill becca, mike was actually the bandit that originally attacked christa and you would have the opportunity to kill him. I have more bits and pieces if youre interested😁
I really think they should have kept the " In Cold Blood" title for Ep3 its pretty clever. It can apply to the murder of Reggie,Carver,Troy or the fact that they literally have to douse themselves in the walkers' cold blood to escape Howes
thats a life goal of mine, to remake the first 2 games, Season 1 is amazing, but i personally would change some things (Doug and Ducks character arcs just off the top of my head) and Season 2 I'd build from the ground up
@@АртурАртур-у9ю5щ yeah, Season 1 is awesome, but with another 7 years of world building with Clem, i would change some things, certain dialogue, maybe lessen the campyness of the story, and the Carley/Doug decision really fell flat if you pick Doug, he obviously wasnt the preferred choice for the writers XD also i really dislike a lot of season 2, so id probably keep Luke and Nick, but pretty much everything else id change significantly, Kennys whole journeu especially, i really dislike what they did with him, but hindsights 20/20 ig
As absolutely terrifying just watching this video is, I really think making this season go into much creepier and darker stuff would've done a lot for the series. It would've helped a lot with fleshing out the world and showing just how horrifying an apocalypse could be. I mean, I love season two a bunch already, but I think it was a bit of a missed opportunity to not deepen the horror aspect of the game, and plus imagine how much extra development Clem could've gotten.
I have to say this was very very VERY insteresting to see. And now that I think about it. Season 2 wasn't really that creepy and scary. But if they Kept those old background pictures and the music, then yeah I think it would have been much better. I think a lot of people would have enjoyed that more
all that i got scared about was if i was going to die in the ep1 opening, and i would have to watch clems body wash down the river, as it fades away. to start a whole new game
The eerie energy the cut content gives me is unusual. I get eerie feelings from things and areas all the time, but this... Made my eyes water. Making me second guess about wanting a zombie apocalypse..
Man, just getting chills imagining what dark things could have taken place. I've always wondered why amid the ruin's image was completely different than the episode, I always imagined it as Clem joining a cult, or taking part in something like being a whisperer from the comics. Thanks for the upload!
actually, there was an original ending was supposed to Clem holding AJ and walk in snow storm for a long time and start getting Hypothermia, then Clem saw a light in front of her and tend to walk there but she can't cause AJ hold her back. This time there were 2 option: Leave AJ behind or Sit down with him, but no matter what, Clem and AJ will die, that's the reason why Episode 5 title was "Better to sleep" (rather to sleep than alive and with the ending it's HELLA DARK)
Ok so the original soundtracks for the main menu were absolutely bone-chilling imo. Especially the music for “Better to Sleep”. The goosebumps tingling down my spine in conjunction with my focus on the screen-as I tried to figure out what the hell I was actually looking at / listening to, all while still having decipher this eerie title… Great video man.
The Developers Said That Clementine Was Going To Die In Season 2 So That's Probably Why It Was So Dark And The Fifth Episode Was Called "Better To Sleep"
I love these Walking Dead games so much. I have grown with Clementine and to see her grow up and the last game getting ready to release, it feels as if I'm going to leave behind a part of myself with her and Lee.
Wish the video got more attention because its so well done, the editing is good, the research you did was great and it definitely deserves more view's and like's then it has right now keep it up man.
Season 2 after release was a masterpiece imo, but some of this cut content would have been cool to stay. Episode 4 could stand to be alot better. I would have liked to see it a bit darker, like some other comments have said
@@AnyThingWorx the atmosphere it set was one that I'd yet to see again in a game. Maybe you think differently, but for me this game set a tone that I've been trying so desparately to find again in a story/game. The only thing I've found that comes close is Season 4. also Clem's very good as a protag/player character role!
@@blessthismessss The atmosphere of the game is pretty good, I'll give you that. Season 2's biggest issues, however, fall under terrible writing, cheap character deaths, lack of meaningful choices, and poorly developed characters. Clementine's the best part of the game, no doubt, but everything else around her (atmosphere aside) are either lazily hashed in, or what feels like a second thought most of the time.
The original2 endings for season 2 got cut. 1. Clementine has to abandon AJ to try and survive alone but they both still die. 2. Clementine sticks with AJ and they both die. Very dark and I’m glad they changed this.
id rather they keep this way kinda you cant deny thats how it would went like if clem didnt had no one to help her, she eventually would get killed plus she dn about baby stuff so
Subbed. Please please please find out more about season 2. I am very interested in what should have been. I knew from the get go that it was meant to be darker but you've uncovered more in one video than I have after 3 years of scouring the internet. Kudos! Please do another season 2 video. Specifically what episodes 6-8 was gonna be.
>Specifically what episodes 6-8 was gonna be. Definitely more to come for S2 but as for the DLC I have no idea. All I know for sure is that the Michonne miniseries was not yet planned at that point so early on. According to Gavin Hammon (VO of Kenny), Kevin Bruner who was CEO of Telltale for a while said he was fond of the idea of having a Kenny backstory DLC before the game came out so maybe that could have been it's own DLC. That's something Gavin tweeted out last month, I had 0 information prior to that.
InColdBlood Still good job for what you have retrieved. Takes some brains to figure out how to get into the code. I certainly couldn't have done it. Are you planning on doing more videos like this?
The fact that it was supposed to be way darker than what we got terrifies me. Especially that ep5 image. I also heard that the ending was supposed to be either the death of clementine and AJ or only AJ. You'll get an option to either both of u lay down on the snow or you leave AJ to continue on hoping to reach the some sort of city b4 fully running out of energy. Its rlly giving me the shivers

I have more bits and pieces if youre interested😁 In short: Clem would fight Winston more than what it was and he tackle clem through the water and shoot her then Sam would give her hat back and would be kept alive until episode 3 where Mike kills him for walker food.Carlos would treat her shoulder and Pete was bitten on one his legs by walker and would amputate it but unfortunately it was too late and he turned into a walker(Clem chopping Sarita's hand flashback xD). Episode 2: Clem and Alvin would go fishing and there's an unused audio file where Clem says:That's a lot of fish.Kenny burns down Luke's cabin(Which means that Kenny was going to be Carver instead). And Troy asked weird questions like a pedophile when Clem opens the door. WARNING:EPISODE 3,4 AND 5 ARE FUCKED UP IF YOU WISH TO STOP READING THEN DO IT. Episode 3:Clem is attacked by a bandit who instead was Mike instead of some random bandit. Then you have the opportunity to kill him.Mike left Tavia with bruises and broke one of her arms then Tavia would fall off the roof(Accident perhaps?) and during the escape Nick would kill Rebecca(Accident?). Here's a better explanation: Nathan Meeks: In episode 3 sam the dog was going to be killed by mike for walker food maybe after the escape, tavia would get bruises and a broken arm from mike who was one of the bandits that attacked clem as i mentioned earlier, she would then fall off the roof resulting in her death. Carlos and alvin were beaten almost to death by kenny, who was originally carver. During the escape wyatt from 400 days helped them escape only to get shot by alvin, troy would join with them, sarah would try to bring carlos back to life by hyperventilating and screaming, bonnie would yell at the group to not shoot and the rest of the group would make it out.ill keep you posted.👍 I'M SERIOUS EPISODE 4 AND 5 ARE MORE FUCKED UP Episode 4 and 5 Nathan Meeks:Episode 4 sarah would be killed by troy, kenny kills nick and afyer they escape they head north to find wellington only for them to get ambushed by the remaining people at howes instead of arvo and his group. In episode 5, kenny kills everyone but leaves luke, clem, troy and aj alive and forcea the group to go through the winter storm as training for future survival, Wellington never existed and troy would betray his plan and attack/ molest clem leading to shoot him the head. On the way to shelter she would threaten 2 survivors she sees and goes to the stop, she would then see kenny killing walkers and meets up with her. Luke would get bitten which triggers kenny to fight him while clem and aj slowly die of hypothermia, she would have no choice but to kill kenny and later luke so he wouldnt turn. Then Clem and aj would be alone. Episode 4: Troy kills Sarah and Carver-I MEAN KENNY kills Nick. After they escape they head North to find Wellington(like in the Final Version but with some changes) and would get ambushed by the people who remained on their location.EPISODE 5: Kenny kills everyone except Luke,Clem,Troy and Alvin Junior AKA AJ and forces the group to go through a winter storm as ''training'' for ''future survival''.Turns out Wellington never existed and Troy betrays everyone and then attempts to rape Clem(Yeah or ''Molest'' as Nathan says in his comment) Clem shoots him in the head. On their way to find a shelter Clem threatens 2 survivors and goes to the stop(? You mean shop Nathan or something else?) She sees Kenny fighting walker and meets up with Clem. Then it is revealed that Luke was bitten and Kenny fights him while Clem and AJ almost die of hypothermnia(They were FORCED to go through the winter storm so of course they almost froze to death).Clem kills Kenny(Instead of Being with him in Season 3 ''A new frontier'' and kills luke so he doesn't turn into a Walker. Then Clem and AJ are left alone(like the new Season 4 where Clem and AJ were alone until a group finds them).I guess if the BETA story was played somehow Clem and AJ found warm clothes and Procceed to move on. The Car accident where kenny dies as an old man never happens and It continues with season 3 ''A new Frontier'' and then the Final season(Season 4). The background pictures of Episode 1,3,4 and 5 play a scary music. Probably because those were serious episodes and the pictures are more scary than the Final version.
@Pacna Sesim Unfortunately no i can't find more. No they are not developers they are the people who posted these details but because their comments are forgotten deep down in this video i decided to explain the details(their Grammar is really bad).
actually, they planned that the ending was going to be Clem and AJ frozen to death, there were going to have 2 option: Leave AJ behind or Stay with AJ and sit there freeze to death , but no matter what, they're still die because of hypothermnia (or Frozen to dead) Here: ua-cam.com/video/BFYF34KzJN4/v-deo.html&ab_channel=SkyboundGames
Just found your videos my man but holy shit these are amazing. The Walking Dead: Season One is easily my favorite game of all time, and so quite naturally Season 2 was the biggest dissapointment of all time. But it's both insanely cool and really sad to see what you've uncovered, to see what was perhaps originally possible. A more original, meaningful genuine and complete kind of a story and atmosphere and game rather than the AMC TV show rushed empty bullshit we got. I remember first booting the game up and getting so insanely excited at even just some of the original music and atmosphere and slides that wasn't even fully present when compared with the much earlier builds such as the Better to Sleep ones. And then of course, once I started playing it - yeah, pretty unfortunate. You can really tell that the poor management, terrible tech and just in general the terrible conditions of Telltale as a company with them not being ready for the success and growth of it really hurt everything they made after S1. Glad to know it wasn't just zero fucks from the actual people making the games, there were real intentions behind it originally. Anyways, keep making these videos and let's hope Season 4 isn't absolute trash now that they've restructured their company, some of their tech and are bringing in some of the S1 staff to work on it as well as bringing in lots of inspiration from the original season.
Hey, thanks for the comment. I'm glad there are other people out there who are curious about what Telltale were actually planning for S2. As for S4, honestly, taking a look at what's been going on at the company since the layoffs has only made me even more bitter. I wouldn't expect the switch to Unity engine until 2019 which if you want my honest opinion, they won't survive 2018 if TWD and TWAU2 don't sell. They're hemmoraging cash at this point and over 30 people left on their own who were not layed off. My guess is salary cuts. I wish I could be optimistic and I'll likely make videos on the fourth season as it comes out but I'm not holding my breath that it will be any good, apparently two lead writers haven't even played the first season and posted about it on twitter. I don't feel like any good can come of what's next but I guess we'll find out.
Shit, didn't hear about that stuff, really only heard what Telltale sort of wants you to hear. Do you know what their twitter account is because if that's seriously the case then that's obviously some huge contradictions to their original posts about "oh hey we're really valuing Season One and bringing back staff" and all that plus the new CEO talking about getting back to their greatest form again as with the original season and just making something great again. Suppose that might've just been PR bullshit :/. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. Really though, even if they actually were honest and are genuinely trying to get back to form and being at their best again and getting season one it's not like they really have much time to do it. They began work like immediately after S3 with S4 and TWAU S2 with their still horrible state as a company and now they have to make this thing with the still terrible tech and having to get used to some of the restructures and still try to push out what they're saying will be a different and actually good game. I don't know, even if they are trying that's something difficult to do with that kind of time pressure. Time pressure and tech was a big factor in what made the rest of their games fail so hard, among everything else of course. So if those two big issues are still a part, they'd need time to work that out before being able to achieve much at all. Otherwise all we can do is kinda hope for a miracle on their end and that they just know what they're doing despite it all - or the safer bet, just don't give a shit and maybe give the game a shot once it comes out and not have any expectations to speak of, if any expect it to be just another post S1 Telltale game.
Thank you for posting all the cut content videos! They're a joy to watch! When season 4 is fully released I'd love to see a video about the cut content from that game.
Thanks for sharing this information, Cold! I'm not sure if this was ever mentioned in your other videos, but more evidence Clem was meant to discover that city is shown on the unfinished map in S2/E4 at the observation deck with Jane. Across the river, we see a church that's also present on the map. My hunch is this was where we'd meet Eddie & Vince before getting to the power station.
Episode 1 Beta Slide is totally terrifying to me. The mad expression on Clem's face, her arm dripping lots of blood, the overall more realistic graphics in the scene (the shadows and lightning are a lot better than the final game, so maybe it was a pre-rendered image) and the music, man, it's so disturbing but so great at the same time, I would've loved to play the Beta version of this season, it was going to be so dark, brutal, and cruel, that I would have loved every second of it.
Episode 1: All That Remains Everything was supposed to be same, only some Minor changes were there Winston was supposed to fall to his death while fighting Clementine.
The first slide (beta) was supposedly according to a former Tell Tale employee that the reason Clem looked way different there, was that she was to get shot in the arm (which she does in one of the episodes) but also the guy shining the flashlight at Clem whilst Clem looks annoyed/scowling, was apparently going to rape Clem and that she was gonna shoot him in the head to stop him.
XTheVideoGamerGirlX something similar was gonna happen but with troy at ep5 when kenny was gonna be the villain. I like s2 as it is now but would look to see a “what if”
@@you-5-iver804 Yea, cos in the original ideas, Carver was supposed to be Kenny as we both know and that it was rumored that Kenny was gonna be killed by Clem and that the backstory was that he was going to be driven batshit insane by the loss of both Katjaa and Duck, but in the final version, it seemed clear that they completely changed Kenny to be this person who didn't care about anyone except himself referenced by the confrontation between him and Clem when she says "I lost Lee and my parents, so don't act like you're the only one to lose somebody you love!" in the tent, which is probably why the "alone with Alvin Jr" idea was shot to be the canon ending because perhaps that it wasn't supposed to have been choosing between Jane and Kenny but maybe that Clem was to stand off with Kenny/Carver and ends up killing him then walks on down the road, which would explain why Clem is more of a hardened bitch type character in A New Frontier/
XTheVideoGamerGirlX i dont think there is a “canonical version” and if there is then i believe it will be kenny or wellington, clem becomes a hardened survivor because of the new frontier taking away AJ and because of everything before (including kenny/wellington tragedy) i believe kenny as canonical because he is seen as antagonistic despite his good intentions, everyone was scared of him apart from clementine, who saw who he truly is -a survivor of many tragedies which have taken a negative effect on his anger and character. It just makes the most sense imo and kenny became selfless after AJ was born, realising you can love and care for someone who isnt family by blood, especially when clementine returned, he was angry about sarita but would not hurt clementine
This is rather interesting. Wow, all of the files and beta stuff, interesting to look at--the beauty of game-making. Also, I like the silent aesthetic of your video--makes me feel like I'm somewhere cold right now.
Ideas I Like: 1. Kenny being Carver. I think it would've been like what's happening with Lilly in the Final Season. Kenny being a villain and a person from Clem's past is an interesting concept. Their history would've been the main source of conflict, forcing Clementine to make harsh decisions. 2. The "creepy cult". As horrifying as it sounds, I actually like the idea of having a satanic group in The Walking Dead. It's unique and would've been a cool addition to the season. Plus, the writers could've created a terrifying villain that would've made players feel unsettled. 3. The 400 Days characters' bigger roles. Those characters got shafted and were what I considered wasted opportunities. If they'd had joined Clem's group or were even apart of the creepy cult, they could've really shined as characters instead of cameos. 4. Wellington being a city. The Wellington we got was another wasted possibility. Instead of it just being walled up, why not have an entire CITY? That would've added more exploration for the season or for future seasons. 5. The darkness itself. This season was definitely going to have some DARK themes, scenes, and characters. Season 1 lacked this. Considering that the game is in the apocalypse, where civilization has collapsed and people are free to do whatever they want, I would've liked to see the twisted side of the world. Ideas I DON'T Like: 1. Clementine being molested. I know I said that I wanted this season to be dark as it was intended, but molestation is too far. 2. Clementine being alone. This was indeed an ending in Season 2, but it being canon? I don't agree with that. Similar to Kenny and Jane, Clem should've at least had an ally to assist her. However, I can see why the writers went in that direction. I guess it contributed to the darkness they were originally going for.
I would hesitate if kenny was the villain because he was one of my favorite characters in season one if he did came back as a villain I probably would still kill him because I wouldn’t want him to hurt Clem but I would definitely hesitated
When episode 5 was still 'coming soon' I thought that with the city in the background I thought that Clem was going back to see where Lee was chained up to the radiator It was just a cool theory I had
Pugs For Life heard that theory to but I don't see why would Clem waste the effort to travel back to Savannah Georgia. Season 2 takes place between Virginia and North Carolina. Without a vehicle it would literally take days to get to where Lee died. And still the big question, why would she waste the effort to see Lee's corpse?
I know I'm really late but thanks for showing this! It was really cool to see how S2 had a much darker tone than what we got and the original slides themselves along with the soundtrack were pretty scary, especially the first one. It would've been cool for S2 to be grimmer and more realistic than it is now. That would've definitely made this game more terrifying.
this video changes my perspective view for this game. Damn, this game was supposed to be lot scarier than we got now, it would have been better if we got this version.
I feel like maybe some of the things were meant to change according to how you play the game. One example I like is the dream Lee has of Clementine when in the RV. According to your choices, he either has a dream of her as a half-zombie or he sees her just sitting on the inner balcony of an unknown house and they have very light dialogue leading him to ask her if she trusts him and she replies " Yes".
To think that there’s already quite a bit of cut content of season 2 and that I bet there was even more on storyboards, scrapped scripts, content on hard drives, etc.
@@SageModeTxuchiYT amc literally copies the comics. Comics are truly the dark ones and what the walking dead should be. If only season 2 stuck with the fucked up storyline
It is also worth mentioning that in the last chapter, called "Better to sleep", the initial ending was much darker than the current one. Clem and AJ ended up alone, in the snow, freezing to death, So while you were walking through the fog, the game gave you the option to: Or abandon AJ to try to find a chance to survive (Which would end with Clem dying of hypothermia) Or stay with AJ, and face the same fate. At that time, I think the developers didn't have much in mind to make a continuation of the story. It's very interesting to see the betas!
Looks to me like they were having Clem's character mature faster than they actually did. It makes sense now that there are about two years in between season two and season three, seeing that they wanted to give some time to let the character mature
“Better to sleep” was actually planned to be a clem ending, she has been walking for a long time then sees something bright like really far then she makes a stop. At this point you either had to choice [Freeze to death with AJ] or [leave AJ behind and keep walking] (I think it said that) The ending would’ve been much darker
Mountains of stuff for Wolf. I don't think I'll ever be able to document all of it. There is literally something like 5 hours of unused voice lines. I might do something in the future but no promises. Focusing on S2 of TWD for now.
aight man. I'm taking it upon myself to make a video on the deleted content for Wolf. I have all the programs needed and all but I have one question. Is there a specific file that holds all the deleted content? or do I need to go rummaging through every single file and find it all myself?
You gotta go looking through pretty much all of them. It's why these types of videos are so hard to make and why I sometimes get things wrong. There's a ridiculous amount of voice lines that aren't used (from my memory) and a couple of models/textures that aren't used like I know that Nerissa has a naked texture where she's wearing a mermaid fin and things like that. The only ones you don't really need to go through are probably the menu/patch ttarch's. Wolf 101, 102, 103 etc are the ones you should probably focus on.
The clem texture thing spread out was terrifying
IKR, glad im not the only one

ikr i love it, i always love stuff like this, the music from better to sleep haunts me now xd but i would have like to see this version of the story, it just fits the walking dead better y'know?
i know about the development studios mate, dont worry, im just saying that it would have been cool to know what this alternate storyline was about y'know? this is not only for games tho, Zootopia (one of my fav movies) was also intended to be A LOT darker than the final product, and about taking risks, whats up with people not liking ANF i mean its not that bad, i actually enjoyed it but i guess people REAALLY wanted to play as clementine, also for season 4 IM IN LOVEEEE its such a cool plot, one we never had before in the franchise :) only kids, and the idea of bringing a few old charachters back makes it even better if you ask me :) also Clouis is da best xdd i really cant wait for ep 2 :D, at least im more exited for this than ANF

The episode 4 card made it look like Clem and the group were going to get captured by some sort of insane cult.
Yeah, that would have been great
@@RedLemonCola We already know that, but it does look like what he says tgo by just looking at the pic dumbass.
When I first saw that card years ago i thought she was alone and the whole group had died

Episode 5 makes much more sense with the old slide. The dev’s said in the original ending of Episode 5, Clementine was supposed to be in the snowstorm, with AJ in her arms, however she would grow more fatigued and slow; hypothermia. You could either have the decision to stop and lay down with AJ, presumably killing both of you, or leave AJ on the floor and go your own way alone, desperate for the last hope of making it out alive.
holy shit..

Banks Twd is already creepy. How creepier can it get?
Something more "dark" disturbing like the comics with some scenes really fucked up i don't know
That is what I wanted so bad for Season 2
Very unlikely as season 4 will be the final season and I think they're pretty much gonna solve everything and finish Clementine's final story arc in a positive season. (Job has officially said this will be Clementine's final story arc for Telltale. So unless another company does something with her, we will never see Clementine again :( )
Banks funny enough in the first season there is a deleted scene of Lee having a nightmare about not saving either Doug or Carly showing how your choices affect him mentally
The "better to sleep one" is so fucking creepy. Seeing a black silhouette of clementine in the distance is honesty to god horrifying
Especially with the scary music...
They should of kept that.

Venomous Entertainment They should of kept it in my opinion. :)
It was like the worst tho.
AnyThingWorx Archived Really? Personally I think the only episode better than this one is 2, it’s one of my favourites of the season

The better make a new series and keep the original characters for like 5 or 6 seasons if successful, obviously killing a few throughout in like final episodes

@@niteski Of course YOU would want that
@@-_--_--- 8 months ago.

Well atmosphere in these beta slides is sick af. It's a shame game didn't end up like that.
I was actually quite disturbed by Clem's face in the first slide. It just didn't look like Clementine to me, her eyes were different and the way the shadows were made her face in general look quite different, but the blood dripping out was pretty goddamn badass.

@@lityfity4197 oh god
I do realize it would’ve taken far longer to develop, but it would’ve been so worth it
basically kenny would play carver and the characters from the 400 days that were still at what is now carvers community would play arvo and co

The new picture for the episode 1 slide makes Clem look innocent and I like that one better, but the original makes Clem not look cool but makes her look so . . . monstrous.
Shadow Spector the old one makes her look like a walker...

Blindsiding your fans with something they didn't sign up for is not a great way to sequel one of your most popular games.
Thelving the Wing yeah but it would of made it ten times better hell choices would actually matter in season two
@@shadowfuture1378 How do you know? We were given almost no information about what it could have been.
Thelving the Wing I mean u never know like season three that game could of been at least decent to people if they didn’t cut some things out
season 2 original plot which was scrapped due to not having a "walking dead feel" to it
Episode 1: All That Remains
Everything was supposed to be same, only some Minor changes were there Winston was supposed to fall to his death while fighting Clementine. One of the Scavengers named Ralph was supposed to Be originally Mike(He also played a key role to the the game which I'll get back to later on) Clem would've Kept Sam the dog for quite a while and Pete would've been able to die this episode no matter what.
Episode 2: Don't look back
This went through several redesigns. Kenny was intended to be Carver and then Troy (as we see him in the next time on cutscene) but it turned out to be Carver. Anyways back to the topic. Kenny would've showed up at the Cabin and burned it down and Clementine's
group would run until eventually the 400 days characters would be with Kenny. Alvin would've shot Wyatt if Tavia convinced him to join. Sarita and Walter were not yet implemented.
Episode 3: In Cold Blood
Clem's group would've been brought to Howe's Hardware and meet Mike.
Episode 4: Amid the Ruins
It was supposed to be a darker compared to the one we have right now. The survivors from Howe's would've been Nick, Sarah, Luke AJ and Clem. Vince and Bonnie would've never appeared Eddie would've appeared in this episode but troy would've killed him. And Kenny wouldve killed Nick. Sarah would've run off to the snow.
Episode 5: Better to Sleep
With just Clementine, Luke and AJ left against Kenny and Troy, They would've wandered around the snow storm and get Separated.
MOLEST CLEM??
Clementine with the arm blood freaked me out omg
Same
So dark
Clem's face at 6:04 scares me for some bizarre reason
I'm not even kidding, i'm sweating just thinking about it
same, wanna know something else that is creepy? theres only 2 types reactions to this, either you laugh uncontrollable or you freeze with fear
Omg same
Luminoose same wtf
omg
Jesus Christ thats dark
Episode 4 unused menu music sound like something from Amnesia. Cool content
This kinda reminds me of the mystery behind the Luigi's Mansion beta. There's so much strange stuff here that could have altered the game incredibly.
Liked.
Side Note: In Episode 3's beta slide, it looks like there's a shadow of a person standing above Clem and Rebecca.
Very true was always interested about the beta of that game.
Super3dBoy if there is a shadow then it most likely might be Carver
Super3dBoy It was more than likely Troy since Clem and Rebecca's rape is implied to happen from him.
死神 Toto I would of hate Troy even more if that happened
O'Fearghail the Fearless probably
I found out what was supposed to happen in these episodes if they stuck with the original "dark" theme.
(NOTICE: I'm not going to list all of the choices. I believe this can be found deep in the internet, where I found it.)
(WARNING: Episode 3 and 4 are probably the scariest fucking episodes according to the info. My weave was snatched bish. Not for the faint of heart K? Lmao.)
Episode 1: All That Remains
This episode is already a hint towards the future.
-After running away, Christa would be found dead (or alive depending on choice.)
I will return. I forgot the changes lmao.
Where did you find all of this?
SargeantMario101 In the deep web. It was in the files before, and was found by a couple of people. However, the website with the files and info has since been removed. I can't find it anymore. Maybe I'm just bad at researching lmao. But at least these videos still exist.
Alright. If you remember anything else, please keep us posted. =)
SargeantMario101 Of course. :3
Anybody notice that at 7:35 that it looks like someone is standing in front of Clementine and Rebecca?
Deleted Account that was probably troy.
Troy stands over them and beats them.
Oh shit thats scary
@@geradplayz6555 imaooooo
It's Troy, he was supposed to be Carver and would fight Kenny while Clem would stay with Rebecca who was going to give birth to AJ.
Season 2 is really dark the Clem in that version almost resembles season 3 Clem.
I really think they should have kept the " In Cold Blood" title for Ep3 its pretty clever. It can apply to the murder of Reggie,Carver,Troy or the fact that they literally have to douse themselves in the walkers' cold blood to escape Howes
The thumbnails for season 2 were complete clickbait. Smh

Someone should make a fan game of what the walking dead telltale season 2 was originally suppose to look like
Lightning Sam if only it was that easy...
thats a life goal of mine, to remake the first 2 games, Season 1 is amazing, but i personally would change some things (Doug and Ducks character arcs just off the top of my head) and Season 2 I'd build from the ground up
Gibbypastrami really?
@@АртурАртур-у9ю5щ yeah, Season 1 is awesome, but with another 7 years of world building with Clem, i would change some things, certain dialogue, maybe lessen the campyness of the story, and the Carley/Doug decision really fell flat if you pick Doug, he obviously wasnt the preferred choice for the writers XD also i really dislike a lot of season 2, so id probably keep Luke and Nick, but pretty much everything else id change significantly, Kennys whole journeu especially, i really dislike what they did with him, but hindsights 20/20 ig
Gibbypastrami
Carley should’ve been kept alive she’s too valuable 😭😭😭
That music is terrifying
It really is a shame that Season 2 could've been a lot better than what we got.
Really good video man. Can't wait for the next one!
Did anyone else notice the legal disclaimer at the beginning?
Also this video is super insightful and helpful, thanks for making this!
i was scrolling to see if anyone else caught that lmao
"Coming Sooon"
8:56 is so creepy, it brings chills up my spine O_O
Man, just getting chills imagining what dark things could have taken place. I've always wondered why amid the ruin's image was completely different than the episode, I always imagined it as Clem joining a cult, or taking part in something like being a whisperer from the comics. Thanks for the upload!
I hate when the episode art doesn't match what's actually happening in the episode so lame lol
Yeah, like why would they even bother updating it if it´s no longer relevant? too much effort, i guess.
Episode 5 pretty much just says *Death*
All the cut content for Season 2 looked great! It seemed like Season 2 was supposed to be much darker and scarier than its predecessor.
I think the image in Better To Sleep was actually Clemintine holding her arm to prevent the blood lose from Arvo's gunshot
Dunno. It looks similar to how she usually holds AJ.
actually, there was an original ending was supposed to Clem holding AJ and walk in snow storm for a long time and start getting Hypothermia, then Clem saw a light in front of her and tend to walk there but she can't cause AJ hold her back.
The goosebumps tingling down my spine in conjunction with my focus on the screen-as I tried to figure out what the hell I was actually looking at / listening to, all while still having decipher this eerie title…
Great video man.
4:52 you can also see Eddie to right of Clem
shut the fuck up i cant
Most People saying How The Game Could Have Been Better This Way lmao
If The Tables Would Be Changed, It would Be The Opposite
Exactly
1:15 why do I feel like that should be a meme?
idk me too
Wish the video got more attention because its so well done, the editing is good, the research you did was great and it definitely deserves more view's and like's then it has right now
keep it up man.
Really appreciate comments like this! Thanks man.
hey no problem :>
Season 2 after release was a masterpiece imo, but some of this cut content would have been cool to stay.
Episode 4 could stand to be alot better. I would have liked to see it a bit darker, like some other comments have said
Season 2 is inarguably the worst after every season being released.
@@AnyThingWorx ok AnyThingWorx Archived
@@blessthismessss Why do you think that Season 2 was great?
This is a great analysis. Never expected to see so much interesting beta stuff hiding in Telltale's games. Hope to see more in the future!
Holy shit, if Telltale went with this darker tone Season 2 would've been much better.
The original2 endings for season 2 got cut.
1. Clementine has to abandon AJ to try and survive alone but they both still die.
2. Clementine sticks with AJ and they both die.
Very dark and I’m glad they changed this.
id rather they keep this way kinda
you cant deny thats how it would went like if clem didnt had no one to help her, she eventually would get killed plus she dn about baby stuff so
Absolutely!
3:55 just is disturbing
Ya I dont like it it's also very dark at the moment so that doesn't help
The music is making me scared.
Dear Viewer of 2018 I can explain you what happened thanks to some comments by:Chai Yueqiu and Nathan Meeks:
Chai Yueqiu: I found out what was supposed to happen in these episodes if they stuck with the original "dark" theme. (NOTICE: I'm not going to list all of the choices. I believe this can be found deep in the internet, where I found it.) (WARNING: Episode 3 and 4 are probably the scariest fucking episodes according to the info. My weave was snatched bish. It begins like this. -The beginning is the same. -Originally, there was a scene of Christa's abortion. -The guys trying to kill Clem scene is the "same". -Originally, though, one of the men were going to stab Clementine. Falling into the river was a death scene. -There was a choice where Clementine would push one of the guys, making him fall into the river killing himself. -After running away, Christa would be found dead (or alive depending on choice.)
In short: Clementine would be stabbed and there were 2 choices
1:Clem would run away and fall into the river results in Clem's death
2:Clem would push one of the Guys(Winston) resulting the Guy to fall into the river.
Cutscenes of Episode 1:
Originally it would show Christa's abortion and there were 2 cutscenes. Either she would have been found dead or alive.
Nathan Meeks:i also have more originally you were going to fight off winston alot longer he would tackle clem through the water and clem would get shot by him, sam would give clem her hat back and was going to live through episode 3 until mike kills him for walker food, carlos would treat her shoulder, pete would amputate his leg but would turn. in episode two clem would go with alvin to catch fish theres a beta screenshot with clem holding two fish with a funny look on her face with an unused audio file, "that's a lot of fish." Kenny would burn down lukes cabin taking on the role of carver, troy was going to ask clem very creepy pedophilia questions when she opened the door, episode 3 would probably play out the same except tavia would fall off the roof, during the escape nick would kill becca, mike was actually the bandit that originally attacked christa and you would have the opportunity to kill him. I have more bits and pieces if youre interested😁
In short: Clem would fight Winston more than what it was and he tackle clem through the water and shoot her then Sam would give her hat back and would be kept alive until episode 3 where Mike kills him for walker food.Carlos would treat her shoulder and Pete was bitten on one his legs by walker and would amputate it but unfortunately it was too late and he turned into a walker(Clem chopping Sarita's hand flashback xD).
Here's a better explanation:
Nathan Meeks: In episode 3 sam the dog was going to be killed by mike for walker food maybe after the escape, tavia would get bruises and a broken arm from mike who was one of the bandits that attacked clem as i mentioned earlier, she would then fall off the roof resulting in her death. Carlos and alvin were beaten almost to death by kenny, who was originally carver. During the escape wyatt from 400 days helped them escape only to get shot by alvin, troy would join with them, sarah would try to bring carlos back to life by hyperventilating and screaming, bonnie would yell at the group to not shoot and the rest of the group would make it out.ill keep you posted.👍
I'M SERIOUS EPISODE 4 AND 5 ARE MORE FUCKED UP
Episode 4 and 5
Nathan Meeks:Episode 4 sarah would be killed by troy, kenny kills nick and afyer they escape they head north to find wellington only for them to get ambushed by the remaining people at howes instead of arvo and his group.
Anything on episode five
Damn
actually, they planned that the ending was going to be Clem and AJ frozen to death, there were going to have 2 option: Leave AJ behind or Stay with AJ and sit there freeze to death , but no matter what, they're still die because of hypothermnia (or Frozen to dead)

The Walking Dead Season 1 cut content: 😅
The walking dead season 2 cut content: 😨
Fuck. Does TTG just like to fuck around with every TWDGs? They did it to ANF, now we find out about S2. Great video.
Thank you for posting all the cut content videos! They're a joy to watch! When season 4 is fully released I'd love to see a video about the cut content from that game.
That's the plan!
This darker S2 sounds really epic, I really would’ve loved if telltale didn’t change it. E4 & 5 especially would’ve been creepy as hell
Anyone spotted Eddie in episode 4 slide show when it got bright?
I did
Me i thought it was lee for a sec
vince is literally everywhere in here, and yet his appereance in game is rather short.
"jesus, are you f*cking kidding me?!"
Oh god that's terrifying
WOAHHH WTF THATS TERRIFYING
3:50 i fear nothing but that, that teriffies me
This is rather interesting. Wow, all of the files and beta stuff, interesting to look at--the beauty of game-making. Also, I like the silent aesthetic of your video--makes me feel like I'm somewhere cold right now.
Ideas I Like:
Ideas I DON'T Like:
The walking dead is meant to be dark, all these ideas would literally be how the comics were like
I would hesitate if kenny was the villain because he was one of my favorite characters in season one if he did came back as a villain I probably would still kill him because I wouldn’t want him to hurt Clem but I would definitely hesitated
The amid the ruins section was hella eerie !! Just looking at skinned texture clem and listening to the music. Gave me chills !
Season 2 is still my favorite season (mainly because of nostalgia) but this video tells me it could have been so much more than it ended up being.

THANK YOU
@@JS-ne2sd atmosphere more like bankrupt hahha wow guys i'm so funny
I never knew the menu had actual models, great vid 👍😁
When episode 5 was still 'coming soon' I thought that with the city in the background I thought that Clem was going back to see where Lee was chained up to the radiator It was just a cool theory I had
Good idea, but I thought the city in the background look similar to series 1 and I just had this crazy dark theory
The disturbing part is in s2 ep5 unused the faint sounds is actually Lee crying which also makes me sad and scared at the same time
I know I'm really late but thanks for showing this! It was really cool to see how S2 had a much darker tone than what we got and the original slides themselves along with the soundtrack were pretty scary, especially the first one. It would've been cool for S2 to be grimmer and more realistic than it is now. That would've definitely made this game more terrifying.
Episode 5.
Seeing Clem stand like that alone with that mega creepy music is so terrifying, holy shit.
this video changes my perspective view for this game.
I wish it was this dark. I wish the whole series was this dark.
The amc is actually dark but not the telltale
@@SageModeTxuchiYT amc literally copies the comics. Comics are truly the dark ones and what the walking dead should be. If only season 2 stuck with the fucked up storyline
@@you-5-iver804 I understand why they dropped these ideas though
@@q_q123 it was a lame decision
Ok edgy.
Excellent work soldier
It is also worth mentioning that in the last chapter, called "Better to sleep", the initial ending was much darker than the current one. Clem and AJ ended up alone, in the snow, freezing to death, So while you were walking through the fog, the game gave you the option to: Or abandon AJ to try to find a chance to survive (Which would end with Clem dying of hypothermia) Or stay with AJ, and face the same fate.
At that time, I think the developers didn't have much in mind to make a continuation of the story. It's very interesting to see the betas!
clem’s face all spread out is really funny but at the same time, genuinely terrifying and it caught me so off guard LMAO
Don't forget about the conspicuous hooded Eddie
Amid the ruins song is scary *6:10** OMG WHAT IS THAT*
Looks to me like they were having Clem's character mature faster than they actually did.
Nice work! I wish we could see what Season 2 was supposed to look like when it was in development, that would be awesome.
nice video man. thanks for taking the time to make this. interesting to watch.
oh & is there any scrapped content from The Wolf Among Us?
Wolf 101, 102, 103 etc are the ones you should probably focus on.
yup, im still going through ep1. so many unused lines from "Wachowski" and Faith. tis crazy m8.
