I have the ALS 606, for about 6 months and I'm really happy with this 600w amp. My other amp is an AL811 which has been very good but wanted an amp so I could band hop with ease. The als 606 is the same as the 1306 only at 600 watts at about $ 1300 dollars less than the 1306. Note, unlike the als 606 the als 600 does not follow the radio with out an extra expense of a ARI 500 radio interface at $130 bucks from Ameritron. I have my ic 7600 paired with the MFJ 998 IntelliTuner to the ALS 606. These are great amplifiers !
Today was the first day I used my new ALS 1306. But only use it at 100 watts cus I was afraid. Never used a linear before was getting out all over the nation with just a hundred watts.
Sorry you don’t like the audio settings Ken. My voice is far from muffled... it’s actually EQ’ed quite well. As for the sound effects, they aren’t for everybody and I know the show isn’t as well. Thanks for your feedback. I hope you have a pleasant day. Larry
That’s cool it has band switching. I’m running an acom 2100. It’s super heavy and fully manual. It’s nice though. Oh, btw, I can’t watch all the live streams and it looks like you remove some of them. Do you save them somewhere?
You do underdstand if youre serious about running power... you shouldn't need an antenna tuner... you should already have built your resonant antenna by now... Thats the problem, too many people "want power" and don't have a great antenna. Get the great antenna first, then run your power. Your amp "shouldn't need a tuner onboard." otherwise you're just heating up the ground... just with more warmth" lol. I'll take the1306, buy the SteppIR Urban Beam directional antenna and have much more than simply an Italian amp can offer me... just stating the obvious... if you're running "power" you should already have a resonant antenna. Resonant antennas don't need "antenna tuners"

Lovely microphone but I can’t hear you.
I also have the Yaesu FTdx 101D. What interface cables did you use to connect the Ameritron 1306 to your Yaesu FTdx 101D? Thanks!!!

turn it up.
When does the actual video start. Guess I'll look for another video.
😂 good leave
1:33 Nope. The 600 does NOT do 6 meters. The 606 does. The 600 does NOT track your radio. The 606 does.
Why is your voice so muffled and soft, yet the audio effects are clear and "too" loud?

No time for the long long intro, got things to do thanks anyway.
Great amps but I love my tubes...run an Acom 1010 and 1000...tunes in seconds
I will say this Fred, there something nice about the sound of a tube amp. They do have a very special warmth about them.
All the best,
Larry

@@HamRadioLiveShow they sure do, however, wouldn't mind the Elecraft KPA 1500 :)

@@lizzyfan1986 I agree. If I had the $6000 to spend that would be quite the temptation for sure!
@@HamRadioLiveShow that's a lot of dinero
honestly.... this beautiful amp don't have a built in full auto antenna tuner. there is better made in italy
