I suffer from the same UDD (Unplug Deficit Disorder) Great idea. The AC confused me a bit, but I get it. The AC adapter produces a 9 volt DC output precluding the 9 V battery. Woohoo! Also, I save mucho $$ by using rechargeable 9V batteries.

If you were a guitar player Kalani, you‘d have this a long time ago. 😁
Pedalboard power supplies have that type of adapter.
But today there is an even better solution: USB rechargeable 9V blocks. One costs less than two of your regular 9V blocks. 😊
And then: Who uses a cable bound footswitch with only two switches nowadays anyway? Especially when you can get a wireless BT controller with four switches on it? Together with a CME WIDI Master you don‘t need to spend more than 90$ - and from then on you have no more batteries, cables and other creativity stopping fuzz. 🤓

That's what I call a faulty design - should be returned to the manufacturer. But I like the workaround. Hopefully you put the power supply on a switched multi-plug an turn it off when not in use. It would be a shame if a simple switch consumed electricity 24/7.

There must be a good reason for that. All my battery operated acoustic-electric guitars, battery pedals, etc. energize the phono connector when plugged in. I'm guessing it saves them from having another switching circuit.
