I appreciate TBR and Tara Leigh Cobble so much. This is my 3rd yr in reading through the Bible with her! I also want to give God much glory today for it was 45 yrs ago today that I turned from my sins and received Christ as my Savior! Thank you Father, Son and Holy Spirit for saving me from my sins and giving me eternal life through your saving grace and precious blood of my Lord Jesus! 😊
Until the return of Jesus, we are to walk in peace, love, service, humility, and forgiveness. Lord, help us to live lives that glorify You here on earth. Thank You for forgiving us our sins because of the sacrifice given through Your Son, Jesus Christ. What an awesome God we serve!
God’s very nature is “forgiveness,” and His purpose for us is to become more like Him, to forgive as He forgives. This is most relevant and challenging in the most intimate relationship that God created, our marriages. My wife and I have learned from Paul Tripp’s book “Marriage” that we are to love each other in the same way that He loves us, individually. I am that servant who owes a lifetime of debt to God, and He has forgiven me over and over. Who am I, then, to not forgive my wife? And to flip that around, it is the most gracious, freeing moment ever when she forgives me. We have to have hearts of humility to be that vulnerable, and when she forgives me, it’s like nothing else on earth, nothing compares-it makes me new, because she is living out the Living God in our daily lives.
Thank you Father; the more I read, the more I know and live You for who You are. You are amazing, Father. Thank You for Jesus and got teaching me how to live. Amen
Praise the Lord, aloha and good morning BR family. I’m amazed as to how much l have learned about Jesus and his love his people. He wants us to love as he loves us; repent and ask for forgiveness regardless if it’s seven times or seventy times he will forgive. Luke 6:27-28, “But l say to you who hear; Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you; bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you. Continue to praise God in everything you do. He is where the JOY is!!!❤
This is my first time reading through the bible in a year with Tara L. Cobble and I have been able to keep up. I've tried to read the bible before with other bible plans and apps, but I've never gotten this far and understood so much. I plan to start over again after I finish this year. I love this Bible recap with Tara Leigh Cobble.😊
I love that song too. I just wish they had chosen a word other than “reckless “. Maybe amazing or awesome. I just don’t see God been reckless about anything.
Reckless Love is an impassioned Love that puts the needs of another above their own wants, desires, and needs. It's the Love that jumps in front of the one they love when an angry lion attacks seeking to devour them. That is how The LORD loves us, Jesus died so that we could live. My heart feels like bursting to know that I am so passionately, recklessly Loved by the one who created me! ❤️🤯💜
Question, this is mostly for people within the church, how about when the person who sinned against us in an unbeliever? I would let them know how they sinned against me, ask God to help me forgive them and leave it with God. If the person asks for forgiveness then I would forgive. But would I let/keep a person who keeps hurting me in my inner circle? Here is where we need wisdom. Lord Jesus help me, help us be your hand extended in this world. Help us show grace to our enemies and kindness to those who are unkind to us. We pray for them and for ourselves. In Jesus name.
Today challenged me and made me examine my heart. Allow God into the offenses we protect. He is totally 💯 full of justice and trustworthy. The heart of God is for the us in our unperfect condition. Sinning, lost, astray, That is who God goes after. He is the pursuer. The heart of Jesus is amazing and more full of love than we understand. It’s no wonder He teaches us so much on forgiveness. That is His heart for us. We should learn from his example. Staying humble should be a constant intentional goal. “Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. “See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven. .What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray?” Matthew 18:4, 10, 12
God's timing is perfect. I'm still finishing my full Bible reading in February after starting in late spring last year (when I heard of it). But I needed that reminder about choosing to forgive over and over every time the wound hurts again--I needed that TODAY after feeling some resentment yesterday for something I've previously forgiven. So perfect! God is good!
If someone has sinned against you, Jesus Christ tells us to forgive them as God has forgiven us and it has to be for us more than other. My God shot was also about the lost sheep we are to leave the 99 just to find the one. He is where the joy is. Amen
This passage confuses me. Part of it seems as if it's for believers, but other parts seem that it's for non-believers, especially the steps about how to reconcile with those who have wronged you. How can you force a non-believer to go to a church and listen to anyone? I need more guidance. If anyone can help, please do so. Until then, I will pray on it and ask the Holy Spirit for confirmation of God's truth.
Verse 15 starts out with if your brother or sister sins, that is referring to other believers. This passage is only for settling disputes with a believer, not for nonbelievers.
Tara-Leigh, we all love seeing you as you deliver the recap each day, but I think you’re missing an opportunity. UA-cam is a visual medium. You can show us maps and images on screen! You don’t have to depend solely on attached documents. Please consider taking full advantage of UA-cam. We can sacrifice a few seconds of seeing you to, say, see an image of a yoke, or the temple, etc.
I'm always trying to become a better Christian. I asked my minister a couple questions. The first was "Must you be a Christian to get into Heaven? He said "yes." I then asked how can we claim that He is merciful if almost 70% of the worlds' population is not Christian and is doomed. He said that it's a mystery. I really hope he's wrong. Any other thoughts?
We've ALL sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) but He is merciful because He made a way for us to be reconciled to Him (John 3:16) 🙏
You are in the right place for learning about your questions. Your works to be a “better Christian” won’t get you to heaven. Jesus paid it all. Stop striving and believe Him. Praying for you.
I’ve learned from Tim Mackey (of the Bible Project) that God honors someone’s decision to be apart from Him. He offers Himself, His presence, to those who confess and believe in their hearts (Rom 10:10). For those who refuse, He allows them their own choice to not be in His presence.
The apostle Paul addressed this very question in Romans 1:18-20. God makes himself known to everyone through creation. This is referred to as "general revelation" if a person is responsive to general revelation I believe God will move to introduce them to the specific revelation of Jesus Christ so they can believe. This is why ministries that seek to bring the gospel to these unreached peoples through different mediums are so important. I think your minister is wrong, it is not a mystery at all, God makes Himself known and those who choose not to believe are "without excuse" (the Bible's words not mine).

Happy anniversary!
Glory!!!! ✝️
it's been around 43 years for me and i too am on my 3rd round thru the Bible with Tara-Leigh.
“Forgiveness is not just a response to someone who did us wrong, but is ultimately our response to God.”
Good quote TLC
I texted it out to several people.
This thought came to me today. “How can the Word be in me if I am not in the Word?”
Forgiveness is a decision from the heart: a decision to embark on a journey. Amen ✝️
It’s hard to imagine that the powerful, majestic God of the universe is Himself humble, and He wants me to become more like Him (Matt 18:3-4)
Good Sunday morning Bible family ❤❤❤ Thankful God is continuing to transform Hearts 💕🤗 Have a blessed day in His Presence 🙏❤️

Forgiveness is not a destination, it’s a journey. Great words to remember.

Our Father knows we can not forgive others without His transforming our hearts first. It's impossible. ❤
Matthew 18:14,..."your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost."
God is good, all the time. All the time, God is good.
Matthew 18:35
Forgiveness is very hard. I have to remember that God forgave my sins so I must also forgive others of theirs !!
God is not willing that any should perish ( Matt. 8:14).
Thank you Father; the more I read, the more I know and live You for who You are. You are amazing, Father. Thank You for Jesus and got teaching me how to live. Amen

What a beautiful description of sin and forgiveness as explained by Matthew. Thank you for your faithfulness and devotion to God and His Word.
God Bless y’all today ✝️🤝
Hey Bible Readers!
This was such a great takeaway. Forgiveness is our response to God's forgiveness. I like that.

Thank you, TLC! Our Lord”s explanation of Our Father’s “ Reckless Love” was also my G-d Shot today- ( and btw, also a Great Cory Asbury Song!)

Thank you so much TLC! This is the first time in my life I have stuck with reading the Bible all the way through!! This was an amazing Recap! ❤️

Are the Bible Recap questions in the workbook different every year?

@@patiencebodine911 Thank you. That makes sense. I will re-read with this clarity.
What happens when church can't figure it out then what
