Just finished my 1st year through the Bible and am excited to begin a new year. I’ve been a Christian for many years and had never read through the Bible from beginning to end. Why did I wait till I was 65 to do this? I learned so much! Thank you so much for making this so easy to follow.
I’m almost 63, & I’ve never read the Bible all the way through. Today was very special , having started finally !!
Moses was 80 when God called him to lead his people out of Egypt! It's never too late while we still breathe.
Same! I'm 46.
Happy to be here another year and giving God priority in my life!!
I'm in the same boat as you are Veronica. Going to redo this year. I am 74 and first time reading through the Bible last year. God bless.
I know the feeling. A lot probably do! Congratulations
I'm so excited to start this again! Last year was my first time reading the Bible in a year and I loved it. I had one other person stick with it with me. This year, I invited a bunch of people and we have a group of 19 of us starting today! Praying for another great year or learning and growing closer to God!
Right out of the bat, my first God-shot is in 3:21. He still made clothes for them, after having failed! He is a merciful caring protector.
This is my 4th trip through, and I also noticed this bit for the first time this time around. He is so forgiving and kind! ❤️🙏🏽
He lives His kids!
That was the first animal sacrifice to cloth Adam and Eve ❤
Removal of immortality after the fall was merciful as well. Imagine living in a fallen state for all eternity. God is so good to us. For the believer our literal flesh dies BUT He has made a way for us to rise again through Jesus and live with Him forever!!!! Praise be to God!!!
God is merciful and provides for his children.
This is the first time I have actually tried to read my bible and this program is helping me to much.
New here!! This is my first time reading the Bible and day one is complete !!! So excited to feel closer to my Lord and meet all of you here! ❤️❤️❤️
I just finished my first time reading the Bible, it was amazing & it changed my life & feel so much closer to Our Lord, this will be my 2nd time & am so excited to find things I didn't see the first time, and Tare Leigh is awesome in explaining everything you read, thank you Tara, God Bless & may everyone have a Happy, Healthy & blessed New Year!!❤
Me toooooooo! Let's go! ❤️
One last thought on the creation of the earth and the universe: If I go outside on a nice quiet day in the middle of an open field for example, the earth feels completely still. There is no sensation whatsoever of the earth moving. Yet we know from science, not only is the earth moving, it is moving very fast, 67,000 miles per hour in it's orbit around the sun (according to stardate online from Google search), while also moving a second way in it's 24 hour rotation. Yet back to standing in the quiet open field, there is absolutely no sensation of that. No wonder the early scientists believed the earth was flat. For me, this is a most astounding thing. The preciseness of the speed of the earth's orbit, it's precise distance from the sun all in tandem with it's 24 hour rotation, along with the precise size of the earth and the precise gravitational pull. How could anyone ever believe this is all random? God Almighty is so much more amazing than any of us realize.
Looking forward to going through another year with others who are seeking God. 6:30 am
On my third time through with you TLC! Thank you for what you do for us. Reading through the Bible has meant so much to me. I’m almost 70 and have been a Christian for 65 years! But, reading through the Bible has shed a whole new light on EVERYTHING. Especially the season we just finished. The birth of our savior. The Promised One. So much fulfillment of promises and prophesies! He’s where the joy is! Lez do this!
I am so excited to go through this study!
One point of clarification - an open handed issue potentially - but Tara Leigh states in this episode that Adam and Eve actually didn’t die like God said they would when they ate the fruit of the tree but it was a spiritual death not a physical one so what God said would happen did actually happen. This is explained in Ephesians 2:1-10.
I’m still super excited for the reading plan and daily insights, but this just illustrates how important it is to continue to uncover layer after layer of understanding Scripture throughout our walk with Jesus.
Yay!!! I finished my first year going through the Bible with the Bible Recap!!! #Finisher! Glad to make this a part of my daily routine… Welcome Day 1 of 2024!
I just finished my first year as well (#Finisher) and am starting again in 2024. I was hoping there would be new videos, but I guess not.
@@KM-lu7nhThanks for that, I was confused as this is my first time through.
I'm so confused also. Is the Bible Recap book required?
@@JT-ds8gh I’m not using it, so I don’t think so.
No, I just look to see what the reading is and then watch the video @@JT-ds8gh
I’m a finisher for the first time!!! Can’t wait to do this all over again to see God clearer than before😁
Day 1! So excited to dig into this plan! 2023 is going to be a great year. In Jesus' name!
I just finished the New Testament with The Bible Recap and I am excited to do the entire Bible this year! I have a group of about 17 women doing it with me. Many are first-time Bible Readers. I am praying for a great year for all of us.
I'm starting the Bible Recap again from the beginning as it ia so good and interesting. I'm praying that 2024 will be the year of breakthrough, knowledge and better understanding of God
Keep persevering! You got this sister!
🙌 Tara-Leigh! I can't believe you're going to be doing *_video_* recaps each day!! That is so super cool! This will be my 2nd year going through The Bible Recap, and I'm excited! It was *_enormously_* helpful for me when I decided to reach through the Bible in 2019. I know you saved me hours & hours of research! Thank you for ALL you do & for letting God use you in such amazing ways to help us see Who He Is! I pray your 2023 is richly blessed! 🙏💗
So excited to do this again this year.
This is my 2nd year doing the Bible Recap with Tara Leigh.
I'm starting today. I'm eager to have a deeper connection with God and allow Him to show up in my day to day commitment to know Him in a more intimate way.
Here we go again! Finished it once, doing it again!❤
God spoke creation into existence. "And it was so" (1:7,9,11,15, 24). What He speaks comes to pass.
I'm excited to start with this group of Christians. ❤️
I love being able to see you when you talk…
My hubby and I restart today. Our 2nd trip through the Bible. I'm so happy and proud! Thank you LORD for strengthening us and giving us more of You.
God is so good! Last week I was reflecting on Mary's song when she responds to Elizabeth's greeting. In Luke 1:50 she says, "and His mercy is for those who fear Him." This stuck out to me when Adam and Eve hid from Him. He has mercy on those who fear Him. Praise the LORD! What a blessing His Word is!
Happy New Year! I’m so glad to start the day and the year with you and the Lord on this yearlong and lifelong journey of hearing His voice more clearly and seeing His glorious nature better!
We know from 1 Jn 4:8 that “God is love,” and love always allows the beloved a choice-a choice to trust the Lover or accept the lie and temptation to reject Him as giving us all we need. He doesn’t lead us into temptation, but His world has always allowed it so that our faith in Him may be strengthened and He may be glorified in the way we love Him and each other.
Hello Tara Leigh, this is Daniel Harper’s grandmother Mattie Harper. I’m watching you now. Thank you for your knowledge, understanding and wisdom. Happy New Year ❤
Yes, thank You Lord for your mercy however I also saw this as a spiritual death and not a physical death!
This is my second time and I’m enjoying and learning so much. Thank you Tara for taking the time to do the study, it’s helping gain a deeper understanding and perspective of God’s Word.
I just finished my 1st time through the Bible along with a friend of mine, we both said we had never stuck to a plan before. Thank you Tara-Leigh, I’m excited to start through it again and pray God will keep showing me who He is.
Starting my 5th time reading through the Bible. 3yr with TLC
Just discovered this wonderful podcast from watching Relatable, Allie Beth Stuckey's podcast. Right now I am reading through the Bible but I know this will be invaluable for greater understanding.
Hey TLC and the gang. I read/listened to Gen 1-3 today and TBR. I was looking for the new tabs but didn't find yet, but I'll try again.
Reflection: When I walk outside, I am walking into God's artwork, God's creation. As I sit inside on my chair I am in the middle of God's creation, the elements by which everything is made from, the air I breath is also His creation. The heavens of which we continually explore with things like the Hobble Telescope and other telescopes that continually gain new knowledge every year; the oceans from which we continually explore finding new discoveries every year; the human body which has such amazing complexity. The sum total complexity of all these things: Universe, elements, earth, oceans, human body, bring us to the question: What kind of mind does God have?? What a tragedy that theology has been subtracted from public K-12 curriculum in the US. This means that EVERYWHERE the Bible is taught is so extremely valuable today: the Church, Christian K-12 and Bible-based colleges and universities, Christian Ministries and parents. Thank you TLC and the TBR Team for the extremely important work that you do. To God be the glory!
Excited to start my third time through the Bible...my second time with Tara. This has become the best part of my morning!
My sister and I are reading the Bible for our second time with via the Recap.
Thank you TLC.
God bless all you at the Recap.
Day 1 and I am so excited to read the Bible in a year with you! So much more fun then just reading without learning ❤
Awesome 💙🙏
On my second time through the Bible. I loved reading it last year!
HE doesn’t give up on you!! HE is where the joy is!! 😍❤️
Like many of these commenters are many failed attempts to read through the Bible, I'm so excited to have found this plan. I'm 69 years old and so ashamed I've never taken the time to read all the way through God word. I'm on day 82 and still loving every reading. Thank you so much Tara for your enthusiasm. It makes it so much easier to keep on track. Hugs
Doing this with my 13 year old twins this year:) thank you!
Looking forward to year 2 with TBR. Let’s go there 😊😊
Good morning bible Family Happy New Year 🎉🎇🎊 welcome 2024!! Have a blessed day in His Presence ❤
I am looking forward to learning new insights about God's character! Happy New Year Bible Readers! There is JOY in this journey together with you!
Day 1, year 2 with TLC & TBR. Looking forward to new insights and thinking/discussion points. Be blessed in 2024.
I'm here again, second year! Thanks God and TLC. ❤
Yesterday I finished the whole Bible for the first time (age 53). I loved it! Thank you TLC for being a part of that! I used the CSB version. Today I’m starting over using the Message version. The Bible has always seemed so intimidating to me and now I can’t get enough! God is so good!
I am praying and very hopeful that this year I will complete the Chronological Bible in One Year! You have made it so easy for me to understand what I'm reading!
I am so excited for this study!!! Day 1 was a great start. God loves is so much that he had a perfect plan to provide everything we could ever need.
Back with you again for 2024. Learning and growing in faith.
Just finished my first year through the entire Bible (366 days but still counting the victory) and starting again here at day 1. Thank you to The Bible Recap and TLC for the encouragement and wonderful Bible study! Here’s to trip #2 through God’s Word!
I'm so happy to be starting my second time through the Bible with TBR! It's so interesting to go from Revelation 22 (the culmination of God's story) yesterday, to Genesis (the beginning of everything) today! I noticed that in both the New Jerusalem and on the first day of creation, there is light without the sun. I'm not sure what that means but it's interesting how that is repeated. Maybe it will become clear to me as I keep reading! May God bless us as we read his Word this year!
Amen thanks for pointing this out! I'll look for the things you noted today! Happy New Year!
My God Shot: God's covering will always be better than anything we can make or do.
Starting my second year and I can’t wait to see how God will reveal Himself. So excited be in His word and in relationship with the One who knows me best.
I'm turning 61 this month and even though I've called myself a Christian I've never read through the whole Bible. It's a struggle to pick it up. I get so tired and sleepy and it shames me because I know that I would stay awake for a novel or an activity that I want to do. I want so badly to draw closer to my God, I've wasted so many years. I'm so grateful I found this study guide,
Happy Jesus💟🙏 New Year
I'm so excited to read the Bible with Tara!!!
Just finished day 1 today. I am learning how merciful the father is. He gave Adam and eve the opportunity to repent and confess their sins. Even when they played the blame game instead of confess their part in sin he showed mercy by making them coats of skin to cover their nakedness and their shame before banishing them from the garden
The Bible Recap, round 2! Let’s goooooooo!
This will be my first time reading an the way thru the Bible. I will be doing this with a friend.
In the original podcast from 2019, *the “OMG” culture* was expanded upon. You said you stopped using OMG in case people thought you were saying God instead of gosh at the end and instead started saying, “oh my gosh.” You convinced me in that podcast! I stopped saying OMG after this also! I wish this part had been left in, as I think so many more Christians need to hear it!
Hi Tara! 🤗 I listened to Day 30 today and felt inspired to comment as you said it can help others find this and get into the Word. So I plan to go back and comment on previous days and get caught up as I have time. What stood out to me as I read this day was Genesis 3:23- God cared for Adam and Eve in their sin and made them garments. How precious is our God that He takes care of us even when we sin! ❤
I just started my first year and after Day I, I am super excited! I learned so much in my first day! I’m so encouraged by TLC and how she makes someone want to learn and continue with the plan! Thank you so much TBR and TLC! ❤
Started Day1 on Day 1!
Starting today with my husband and kids! Feeling amazing and blessed today. 2023 is going to be something special.
Excited to be starting this plan to read the complete Bible for the first time.
Happy to see you on UA-cam!
Well I’m back I finished this yesterday reading all 365 through 2023 and I knew I wanted to grow even closer to God thank you for this TLC ❤️🙏🏻😊
I'm just starting my first real serious attempt to read through the Bible, I'm really looking forward to it. After finishing day 1 I'm really encouraged...
Always learn something new every year.
Very helpful commentary!☆ Especially glad that you touched on the 'old earth' vs. 'young earth' views...what you said makes sense.👍 And praise God for His mercy that follows us, too, just as it did Eve & Adam!🌿🙌 (Ps. 23:6)
Just started this plan and so excited. I love Tara Leigh- Cobble’s passion and insight. I also treasure doing the reading and video together. I am already seeing God in a new perspective. Thank you!
I've completed day one and already I'm beginning to understand God more than I have before I started this plan
Day 1 year 3. Excited to watch videos this year. It feels a little more personal.
Back for TBR round 2 🎉 thank you TLC ❤ big prayers, big love, big joy 🤩
So excited to start on this! Only 364 more days to go!
I learned about this Bible plan through a support group on Facebook and I decided I wanted to try it out, So I just started today! 1/20/2024🎉🎉❤
I had read the Bible in a 3 year plan (2019-21) in the NLT, but the Lord was pulling me closer to him, so I found TBR last year and finished it yesterday.
Last year I read the Bible in a "light" Spanish version, but I feel encouraged to go even deeper: this year, I'm going to the ESV in English and ARA in Portuguese (to practice it too). That means doubling up the time daily.
May the Lord help me to set things aside to focus on him.
Blessings to everyone reading this.
Starting my 2nd year with the Bible Recap today! Listened to the podcast for 2022, but so glad to have the videos! Today is starting my 6th year going through the Bible in a year...the 1st 4 years I read through a chronological Bible. Thank you for this new way to do it again! 😀❤
10:08 The boiling pots thing hit the nail right on the head.
I am only on day 1 and I can't believe what stood out to me after you covered it. I am amazed how God is revealed to us and his love from the very beginning. WOW....LORD, Day 3 and OUR Image....Thank you for sharing your wisdom and listening to Lee McDerment!
Started today Jan 1 2024 thank you Jesus 🙏🔥
Starting my second time. I did go to the NIV instead of the ESV. The narrator is a much better reader with inflections and spirit.
This will be my 2nd journey with this plan. Glad to see you on this platform.
My second too. Keep it up!!
Reading this year through a new lens having visited Israel 🇮🇱 this past September with my sister through The Bible Recap. This will be my 4th round of The Bible Recap and I’m still learning something new each day; what a blessing this has been in my and my family’s lives, and will continue to be till the LORD brings us home!
This is my 4th year too! Congratulations! I want to visit Israel too!
@@ayannablueford9255 Do it, it’s really an indescribable experience, I was truly blown away!
I once saw a beautiful video that explains how YHWH is being spoken by every human at all times just by breathing. Listen to your breath, and that is YHWH.
Thank you for the way you help see Gods mercy and how He loves us so much. Even in a hospital.
2023 this is my year I will read through the Bible with this plan! God spoke to me today in so many ways, through the chapters and through this video. Thank you Tara Leigh and team, loving this and recommended this to all my friends, many of them already suscribed to the plan in English and also some in Spanish.
Just heard about The Bible Recap on KLOVE. Looking forward to digging into the Word daily to gain deeper insight into God's nature and a developing a closer relationship with Him!
This is my first time ever going through the whole bible. I can't wait to see what I learn and how I grow
Thank you for the reminders Tara-Leigh! This plan is about seeing God's character, what He loves, hates: his character.
God ❤is Sovereign
they didn't even repent yet and HE still pursued them! 🤯
Happy New Year! I am so looking forward to doing the bible recap again this year!
Wow, this is one of the best Bible studies that I’ve seen in a while. I love a lot of the illustrations and quotes that you use as well. Those are so eye-opening that I’ve never caught before. Very very good with the facts and context and background. You are very good teacher Keep up the good work.
Am eagerly waiting
Going through TBR for my second year. I read and listen at the same time in two different versions. I gained/learned so much from the first year that I spread the Word with many of my contacts, hoping they would gain as much as I did.
Hello, first year, day 1. I have never read the Bible in it’s entirety, but have always wanted to. I believe God led me here. Many begin New Year resolutions at the beginning of the year. Myself, I am committing myself to God and the teachings this year. Words cannot describe how I feel. Thank you so much for creating this journey 😊
Me and you both😂😂 Glad I am not alone😊
I am with you
Starting Day 1 Year 2! Great plan! Including friends in an on-line study group this year!!
Year 1 for me... Referred by Candace. I've never gotten into Bible study, so this is a first for me. I have my app, gel highlighters, and UA-cam subscription! 🙂
I just finished my first round last night. You will have an amazing time with the LORD this year. I'll be praying for you and all the "first timers".
It's great that God is using Candace in a mighty way.
I just finished my 1st year last night & starting again 🙌
I'm back for year 2! I had some failure last year with some health struggles but I'm about 3 months recovered from surgery and I'm recruiting family and friends so we can all be accountable doing a group plan. I'm getting all the way through this time!
