Elizabeth Connell is one of the best Chrysothemises of all time! Her sterling technique and silvery timbre, despite her beginnings as a mezzo, shone like the brightest of diamonds. Therefore, it is a great pleasure to have a true dramatic soprano singing Chrysothemis in order to contend well with Gwyneth Jones's Elektra. Although, I would have loved for Connell to sing Chrysothemis alongside Deborah Polaski's Elektra. That would have been a major treat!
