I´ve just seen it in Frankfurt... Horrible "Inzenierung", even worse Klytemnestra! Nowadays they seem to prefer decadent sopranos to play this role... so they have no low notes at all and no ringing middle notes either. So what's it that they do? They run away and we miss the best of the opera.

It's hard to explain to those who are new to opera that singing has declined.
Cette version d'Elektra est monstrueusement sublime. La meilleure?
Je ne sais pas si cette version est la meilleure mais sans doute la plus dramatique et sauvage.
