Thank you
Such a great way to teach the orchestra to anyone, not just children. A lot of people really underappreciate the orchestra because they associate it with old music nobody except music history nerds care about, when in reality the versatility of the orchestra is unmatched by any instrument ensemble I can think of. Also I'm lowkey disappointed that the french horns didn't play the slow version of a star wars melody like they do in John Williams' soundtrack lol.
I see we have a fellow orchestra member
1:50 flute&piccolo
2:48 oboe&english horn (do u want to built a snowman) it is nice when they play but I like flute
3:49 clarinets&bass clarinet (Super Maria theme)
4:48 bassoon ,so low, brass is better playing that song
5:36 because teacher are fierce
5:51 trombones
6:27 trumpets
7:27 let it go~ French horn
8:24 percussion ,I like xylophone because it always help flutes
9:36 harp
10:26 piano🎹 I love piano ,want to learn
11:09 double bass
12:29 cello (nice song!!!!! Sound familiar. What song???)
13:40 viola (happy)
14:33 violin (shake it off) so large
the song played on cello is “a whole new world” from aladdin
Cello song was A Whole New World from Aladdin
I think flutes and piccolo were "Kiss the Girl" from The Little Mermaid.
@@joshbreekveldt3741 this was 6 yrs ago
That's a huge cello section!
My 7th grade school Orchestra has 3 cellists
I know it’s huge
I thought the same! I've never ever seen such a large cello sections, I counted 17, though I believe i counted wrong so they could be more.
Thank you so much for this video! I teach elementary school music, and I use this to review the timbre of each instrument. Students love guessing the song, and it keeps them so engaged! I love that my young students get to see teenagers playing in an orchestra too!
Same here Todd. It's been great for the current digital teaching climate as well.
Okay Todd you betcha
Anyone watching this for school?
yea for music homework
Im doing for easypeasy
ye
Anvitha k me too 😭
Mua
amazing but it made me even more confused about choosing an instrument. I just love how both the cello and viola sound
Did you choose, I'm also interested in both but I still need to save up money. :) It seems like you chose the cello (based on your created playlist). Are you a beginner, how's it going so far?
Wonderful! I would love to play in an orchestra myself, perhaps one day..
it's never too late :)
This is fantastic- it's exactly what I was looking for to show my child the different sections of the orchestra!
Omg when the double basses started playing "it's all about that bass"😂😂
Lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol
I just got that I’m so dumb
Lmao lololololololol
The Piano and the Harp were beautiful!
You're right the piano and harp are the two soloists of the orchestra in the string section.
This was sooooo good at school i HAD to watch it at home!I play trumpet and they were SO good!!!!!And the violins at the end was SO good to thx for sharing!!!
Wow you can almost hear their personalities coming thru as they play their instruments...that's awesome!

They’re all gold :)
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS! I AM S FILLED AFTR LISTENING TO THIS.

is anyone watching this for school
Hi little Heath students!!
Only one I am unable to identify is the harp piece. What is she playing please?
nice video :)
I love violin. By Taylor Swift
I facepalmed so hard at the last song, not only because of what it was, but because it actually sounded good
My students are trying to figure out what the first tune is? Is it from the Little Mermaid?
Yes It's Kiss The Girl
I literally had a heart attack when called a piano a string instrument not a percussion instrument
Technically, piano is a hybrid: hammers connected to keys which strike strings.
Amazing! The only song we didn't recognize was played by the violas. Can someone help?
Becky Thomas it's called happy by Pharrell Williams. 😁
*school*
Yuh
Obviously piano is solo
om gosh cellos are playing aladin
Just asking but is anyone here from Australia watching this?
Like the mario
8:25 Funny.
Does anyone know what song is from the harp section?
If I could put 1000 likes I would, but I can’t 😢
The clarinets should’ve played something from spongebob in honor of our boy squidward

@@sherrimaestas6863 Been awhile since I've commented on this. But you are welcome! Too bad I couldn't get all of the names. But got the majority of them that did sounded familliar.
The actual title of the Star Wars track is "The Imperial March"🤐Thanks for the list
I wish I had that many horns in my school band
Lucas Strom i’m the only horn in my band :(
Squidward is always the best clarinet player in the world 😂
I had to watch this in 4th grade, and now I'm in love with playing an instrument
Curious, what instrument do you play?
I’m having to watch it to I’m in 4th grade
Same! I’m in fifth grade rn
@@user-io3wd2yw2rI play clarinet, and now I play Bari sax as well
This is great, thanks for sharing this! My grade 2s and I were able to recognize all of the songs except the selection played by the harp. Can anyone out there shed some light on this piece?
It’s a piece from the classical harp repertoire called Automne composed by Grandjany
i have to watch this for music aaah
Same 🤣
Same
Brody Honick same
Why so many ppl have to watch this for class bc I am one
Same,..
Actually i would call the piano a percussion instrument instead of strings, cause there are hammers hitting on the strings to produce sound. Awesome job introducing the orchestra, really proud to be in one😙
I’m watching this on a teams call w my class but i cant hear cause he teachers blowing my eardrums out
Awesome video! I knew almost all of the songs
This was beautiful and so useful. Thank you for sharing.
Orchestras interest me, they're very cool and seeing every part individually was great!
I actually remember I was in 6th grade back in spring 2015, my school went to see the Stockton Symphony Orchestra. I was 11 almost 12 years old back then and I was excited because that was the first time I ever saw an orchestra. Before the concert started, the orchestra separated and a reddish brown bell peaking from behind the stage caught my attention. After a couple seconds of looking, I realized that I was looking straight at the bell of a bassoon. I was surprised because before that day, I have never seen a bassoon before let alone one in real life.
Ok but their violin section is MASSIVE
Watching and hearing these talented youngsters makes one so proud. Bravo Portland 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I needed a video like this.
Star Wars fans everywhere, great job bassoons
Woah! Is that three bassoons I see??? That’s a lot, I mean it is more professional but at my school they don’t allow more than 2, and usually there isn’t even 1!
I saw 4 bassoons once, I’m not joking
SIX FRENCH HORNS COULD YOU IMAGINE
7:55 I saw 7, there was a lady on the right end
Who have to watch bc of the teachers in school- when it's still 2021-
I remember when i saw it in the clarinet Every kid yelled squidward
This is music is all about, fun and no tense at all. There must be fun, love the instructor liveliness!
There are so many instrumensts in orchestra!
Its awsome that each instruments have unique sound but they make amazing harmony.
My real time reaction to the violins:
"Ooh nice foot stamping"
"Huh familiar- OH"
"WAIT OMG IS THAT SHAKE IT OFF NO IT CAN'T BE"
"OMG IT'S SHAKE IT OFFFFFFF"
That's me at first watching, except I didn't even know the song title despite it insanely catchy and recognizable.
Ok I’m back at school but my teacher Send this why IM AT SCHOOL
1:50 is when they start playing
