2017 BMW 320i 2.0L I4 | POV Driving Impressions

This is the 2017 BMW 320i 2.0L I4 turbocharged base model that produces 180hp at 5000rpm with 200lb. ft. of torque. It is BMW's bread and butter model where the majority of buyers being introduced to the brand start here. Although, the EPA stats that you can get 35 mpg on the highway, this model does feature a driver setting to ECO mode, producing 45 mpg or higher.
The IIHS has awarded this vehicle with a five-star rating, giving it the top safety pick of crashworthiness. However, depending on the trim and model, the crash avoidance and mitigation is applied to the headlights the results fall down from acceptable to poor ratings.
At the time of filming the odometer was over 70,000 miles, which is the expected average amount. Although, this particular model is valued on the high end of $25,000 (priced from private party) you can expect the fair market range of around $17,500.
This is one of the best luxury vehicles to consider when shopping in the used market, but for the sake of variety the competition will consist of the following for the 2017 model year:
