Yall asking for the name and 3 years later no one has ever noticed it’s in the description?
Can't find it 🙆🏼♂️ its not triumphant journey - Steve Hodges ?!
I can’t find it either. I really want to listen to the whole piece, but I can’t find Rick DeJonge’s, just Steve Hodge’s which isn’t the same. Sad, but at least we get to enjoy this much!
Biggest mismatch between what you hear, a beautiful calm horn solo, vs what you see, a guy turned completely red
The oxygen makes the face red due to blood flow to that area. The breath control and sending the breath through a very tiny hole causes a building Up of oxygen rich blood to flow to that area.
Some trumpet players have that and Dizzy Gillespie held air in his cheeks or puffed the cheeks to create the unique embouchure and sound. He and his contemporary jazz trumpet stars, also flushed a great deal.
The oboe up is wind instrument with a narrow air passage that requires exceptional breath control. Some of them flush when they play fast excerpts that require increased oxygen and rapid breathing.
The musicians don’d give it a second thought about flushing.
Beautiful. But the most beautiful is Tchaikovsky 5 2nd movement
