This pulls me 60 years back to my high school days.We were used to listen Radio Cylon 's Poorane Filmoke Geet in the morning 7:30 to 8:00 a.m. daily on our neighbour's radio. All this old songs are deeply stored in our hearts. Thanks for presenting this program. DIL SE.
It was originally sang in K C Dey's voice for the film OST version. The contract for the record was given to K L Saigal. K C Dey did in fact render the song first in the film 'Dhoop Chaon' as K L Saigal didn't even star in the film. So Mister R C Boral's information was not wrong as it was his own song. He ought to know however he obviously only had K L Saigal's recording to present as that was what was made available to the public. Otherwise the original track for the film was done by the great K C Dey.

First is the best. R. C. Boral, pankajmallik, kl saigal kcdey are great. K. L. Saigal will remain supreme for ever many have come n contributed n dwindled out. Any musician who does not bow before saigal is not a true musician.
Outstanding & matchless musician was RC Boral Sahab. He deserves Kotee Kotee Pranaam.

This programme is on Vividhbharti my dear...
Andhay ki lathi is sung by k l sehgal by sure
both k.c.dey and k.l.saigal have sung the song andhey ki laathi separately.
Though he lived till 1981, I think he did not consider giving new type of music.
