The time depends on how long it has been on the floor already. For example: if toast has been on floor for 10 seconds, it is the 10 second rule.

It has been scientifically proven that bread/toast is fine on a relatively clean floor four hours.
Any germs that would transfer to the dropped toast would be nearly instantaneous so there's basically no difference between the toast being on the ground for 5 seconds or 5 minutes.

MM idea:
have a course split a few times in an easy and hard section, with colour detecting gates as entrance. You have to choose between slabs with a different colour (for example red or blue). weld the colour up front and drive on.
if you have 4 players have 2 slabs red and 2 slabs blue. So you're either lucky and get a short track (or easy track) or you have a long or harder part. You don't really know who's winning because first place isn't a guarantee.
To have this work the person who builds the track can't see which colour is what direction, and the person painting the gates can't explore the track.

What if in an MM you made launchers like in the ring toss but instead of rings they were unmanned planes(like paper planes). You could compare distance and accuracy.

Do a no delete challenge. It would basically be:
1. You cannot delete a single block...
2. You cannot remove a single connection...
3. You cannot remove your building from the lift...
in the building phase.
And you have to create a wall riding car or the egg carrying or something that is not very easy but too complicated.
Toast and the floor. Still a better love story than Twighlight.

As someone who has studied various sciences, and worked in the food industry (as a baker, no less) as soon as something touches an unsanitary surface, it's already too late. If you generally keep things clean, it's reasonably safe to still eat it, given you don't wait too long. Too long in this case ranging from several minutes to several hours, depending on cleanliness and other factors.
TLDR; if it seems clean and you still want to eat it, go ahead. Otherwise throw it away.

food service training said something about the buildup of germs reaching unsafe levels once the food has touched a non-sterile surface for longer than 6 seconds i think, but anything that touches a non-sterile service AT ALL is should be thrown out by the staff anyway.
